Chapter 211

Without wasting another second, Alex rushed forward to engage them directly. The two Ascendant-level powerhouses also exploded into action simultaneously, and charged at him from opposite angles with extraordinary coordination that could only come from fighting side by side for years if not decades.

The burly giant was the first to attack, throwing a dangerous, air-splitting left hook aimed directly at Alex’s head to shatter his skull, while the blonde man simultaneously launched a blindingly fast palm strike straight toward his exposed stomach.

They were really good. He had to give them that. But unfortunately for them, thanks to his superior reflexes and heightened perception that kicked into overdrive the moment they attacked.

He read the trajectories of both attacks, and smoothly pivoted his hips, bending his back by an inch as both deadly strikes whistled past his skin and missed him by a breath’s hair.

BOOOOM! The force generated by their missed attacks alone exploded outward, creating a massive gust of wind and strong shockwave that shattered all the windows in the hall and tore away large sections of the ceiling and walls.

Capitalizing on the exact second where their hands were still extended, Alex drove his body up and straight up delivered a brutal knee strike directly into the face of the burly guy,

Resulting in a thin spurt of blood to spray from the man’s shattered nose and also leave him a bit dazed. Then Alex delivered an uppercut to the still dazed man, sending him flying straight through the roof into the sky.

However, even though the blonde man had just watched his brother being sent upward like a big bag of potatoes, he remained focus and shot his right hand forward, aiming to grab the face of that annoying man and slam him into the earth

But Alex suddenly caught him by the wrist and kneed him in the abdomen, the man reacted just in time and shifted to the side. Then he used his free hand to swiftly hit at Alex’s hand, freeing his trapped hand.

Then the man retreated dozens of meters back, and looked at the cold figure wearing the ominous skull mask, with a wary look on his face. Facing this fellow alone was dangerous. Now he was beginning to see why they were able to kill Shane without any damage.

Just his reaction speed, reflexes and strength alone were absurdly high, so facing this man alone would definitely carry some high risks. Where was even that doofus, butcher, when he needed him now?

As if answering his question, a big figure crashed down the ceiling and landed not too far away from him.

"Damn, this little bastard really does pack quite a punch. He broke my freaking nose."

"Would you stop your whining and focus on the person in front of us? If we want to avenge Shane then we have to kill this guy."

Meanwhile, Alex quietly watched from the side, with both hands now tucked into his pant pocket as amusement slowly appeared in his eyes. Though it was hidden by his mask.

The two men were still arguing with each other, but neither seemed willing to back down from this fight because they thought he was the one responsible for that Shane guy’s death.

Alex found the situation rather amusing.

They were strong, there was no denying that. Their coordination was excellent, and both possessed enough strength and speed to pose a threat to an ordinary Ascendant. Yet despite fighting two opponents at once, Alex still hadn’t felt the slightest sense of danger.

The blonde man suddenly lowered his stance, with the bald man doing the same thing. It looks like they were about to attack again.

Alex’s eyes narrowed slightly, then his figure vanished into thin air.

Neither brother even had enough time to react before Alex reappeared several meters behind them and slammed his fist toward the blonde man’s back. Straight for the center of his spine.

The blonde man sensed the attack at the last possible instant and miraculously twisted his body sideways, making Alex’s fist narrowly miss its target, but still the resulting wind pressure from the blow still sent him staggering several steps forward.

The bald man immediately swung around and threw a massive punch toward Alex’s head. Wanting to smash his head into pieces like a watermelon. Unfortunately for him, Alex ducked underneath it and drove his elbow toward the man’s ribs.

Just as the giant raised his forearm to block the strike, Alex delivered a lightning fast kick toward the man’s groin, bringing him to his knees.

Watching the man grab his crotch in pain, he smiled beneath his skull mask. He wasn’t someone who believed in fighting fairly. As long as he was the one standing at the end, everything else was irrelevant.

Within the next couple of seconds, the three figures exchanged dozens of attacks.

The blonde man attacked with precise movements like a slippery snake, while his brother relied on overwhelming strength like a raging bull. As for Alex, he moved between them like a phantom, using his superior speed and Void Step whenever necessary to appear from unexpected angles and deliver brutal attacks.

Eventually, the battle moved outside.

They had already destroyed too much of the estate, and continuing to fight inside would bring the entire building down around them.

BOOOOOM!!! The bald man’s fist smashed into the ground, creating a massive crater. Alex leaped away before another punch came toward him.

The blonde man immediately followed, with his fast palm slicing toward Alex’s chest. Alex twisted his body and avoided the strike before countering with a kick of his own that sent the blonde man skidding across the ground.

The bald man roared and charged. Soon another earth shattering collision followed, and the ground beneath them cracked repeatedly, while chunks of earth were blasted into the air with every powerful impact.

Yet as the battle continued, the brothers became increasingly shocked. Two against one. And here they were, still being pushed back by only one man.

To make matters worse the masked man didn’t even look like he was struggling in the slightest bit, it was like he was actually enjoying it. Like he was toying with them.

The bald giant gritted his teeth.

"What the hell is up with this guy? How can he be this strong as an Ascendant Realm. I can already feel my fist hurting from all those punches."

The blonde man’s expression became increasingly grim as he stared at the figure that looked like a demon from hell, especially with that creepy mask on his face. There was something even stranger than the man’s absurd physical abilities.

During their fight he couldn’t sense any trace of primordial essence coming from him. This was how those powerful monsters called Masters were, they had perfect control over their primordial essence. But the man’s attacks were in no way like those of Master Realm experts.

The bald man suddenly roared in frustration.

"Enough! I am fucking tired of fighting like this!"

At that moment his body suddenly began to change. The flesh covering his massive frame rapidly broke apart, transforming into countless grains of sand.

In the blink of an eye, the man’s entire body had turned into a sand like figure of his original self. Then the sand collapsed onto the ground before violently sinking beneath the earth.

Alex immediately stepped backward, becoming increasingly wary of the situation now. Who knew the man had such a crazy ability?

Just then the ground several meters ahead suddenly erupted as numerous enormous sand spikes burst from the earth, each one nearly the size of a grown man, shooting toward him in a straight line.

Without wasting so much as another second, Alex used Void Step and disappeared just as the first spike tore through the space where he had been standing.

It was like wherever he landed, the sand spikes would follow him, so Alex was forced to continue teleporting between the attacks before finally appearing at a far distance out of the range of Butcher.

Then sighting the figure of butcher that had come out of the ground, he shot forward and delivered a powerful punch, but to his disappointment his fist passed straight through the sandy body.

The sand scattered violently from the impact, but within moments, the particles began gathering together again.

Alex teleported to put a good distance between the two of them. So that’s his ability? Alex frowned beneath the mask.

The bastard attack really combined both advantages of attack and defense. Punching him wasn’t going to be particularly useful. Because even with his full strength, all he could accomplish was scattering the sand, after which the bastard would simply reassembled himself back up.

Before Alex could think further, the blonde man suddenly appeared beside him, with his fingers now in a claw like position.

Alex immediately reacted and shifted backward, but his arm was still grazed by the damned guy. Alex glanced at the faint wound that was already healing by itself, before looking toward the blonde man.

These two were becoming troublesome.

The sand man’s body made conventional physical attacks nearly useless, while the blonde man was fast enough to exploit even the smallest distraction.

Alex needed to find a weakness. The sand giant reformed several meters away and immediately prepared another attack.

Alex suddenly noticed something. He watched as a small droplet of sweat slid down the blonde man’s cheek and landed on the ground.

Alex’s eyes flickered as an idea came to his mind. Water! That’s it! Sand and water were like enemies because sand became significantly heavier and clumped together when mixed with water.

Alex didn’t know whether that alone would completely neutralize the man’s ability, but it wouldn’t hurt to try that idea since there was no other one available.

The problem now was finding water. He swept his eyes across the ruined estate, before remembering something.

This was technically an estate where people lived, right? People needed to drink and bathe. So the place where there was most definitely water was either the kitchen or bathroom.
