The exact moment Alex’s lips touched Sofia’s own, it was like the entire world around them seemed to come to a complete stop. For one short second, neither of them moved.
Sofia widened her beautiful eyes in pure shock, with her entire body suddenly becoming as stiff as a board. She hadn’t expected this. Not even for a second.
Alex, on the other hand, had already prepared himself for whatever reaction was about to come next. Be it a slap or scream. Or maybe even her pushing him away and telling him to get the hell out of her house.
Honestly, he wouldn’t blame her if she did any of this. After all, he had just kissed a married woman without even giving her enough time to process what he was doing.

She hurriedly pushed both hands against his chest and stumbled backward, with her face looking completely flushed red.
"Y-you..." Her lips trembled as she pointed at him with one delicate finger. "You just kissed me!"
"Yeah, I guess I just did."
"You—!" Sofia’s face became even redder. "Why would you do that?!"
Alex rubbed the back of his neck.
"Well..."
He suddenly realized that he didn’t have a good answer to give her. The truth was that he had kissed her because he needed to complete a system mission.
So Alex m simply looked at her with a completely innocent expression and said something so cheesy he felt a tingle run up his spine.
"With the way your lips were looking so tempting all this while, I just couldn’t stop myself from tasting it. And by the way it tasted pretty amazing."
Sofia’s mouth fell wide open after hearing what just came out from that mouth of his. "You...!"
She couldn’t even find the right words to scold him. Alex quietly glanced at the systems notification floating within his mind.

Not too focused on the system’s tone, Alex’s heart nearly jumped out of his chest with excitement. He had done it! He had finally completed the mission. And he didn’t even need to use the Aura Of Seduction skill.
’Thank God.’ He almost wanted to sigh in relief. The thought of having all of his stats halved for for an entire week had been terrifying enough. Now that the mission was completed, he could finally afford to relax.
Well... That is until he saw Sofia’s current expression. She was still staring at him. Her beautiful auburn hair had fallen slightly over one side of her face, and her cheeks were becoming bright red.
Alex suddenly realized that he probably shouldn’t be standing there looking pleased with himself after stealing a kiss from her.
"Look Sofia..."
"No." She immediately and turned around, making Alex blink.
"Okay but..."
"Don’t you say anything young man!" Sofia covered her face with both hands. "Just.... just give me a moment."
Alex remained still and watched her standing there in complete embarrassment, and for some reason, he couldn’t help finding the situation amusing.
This was the same woman who only moments earlier had tried to convince him to take money and forget everything that had happened between them. And now, she couldn’t even look him well in the eyes.
For some absurd reason Alex wondered what would happen if he suddenly told her that he had only kissed her because of a mission.
He immediately imagined the expression age would make. Then he decided it was probably better to keep that information to himself.
After several seconds, Sofia finally lowered her hands. She turned around, and stared at him.
"What a troublesome young man."
"You’ve told me that already."
"Then perhaps you should start listening..."
"Maybe next time."
Sofia’s eyes widened.
"Next time?!"
Alex immediately realized his mistake and corrected it.
"That came out wrong."
"Alex!"
"Alright, alright. I’m leaving." He raised both hands defensively before walking away. Sofia stared at his broad back with disbelief. How could someone be this shameless?
And yet... Her fingers slowly touched her lips, and her heart began to beat faster. She quickly realized what she was doing and pulled her hand away almost immediately.
"No." She shook her head firmly. "This cannot happen again." But even as she said those words, a tiny part of her heart was already asking a dangerous question. Would there really even be a next time?"

Several long minutes later, a white Lamborghini Murciélago sped through the streets like a white shadow. Alex lay comfortably behind the steering wheel with one hand casually resting against it as the city blurred past the windows.
The tiny little chibi was sitting in the passenger seat with a sulking expression that had been on her face for quite some time now. Her tiny arms were crossed over her chest, and her cheeks were puffed out as she stared stubbornly toward the window, not wanting to talk to him.
Alex glanced at her and asked calmly.
"Are you seriously still angry over that?"
The chibi ignored him.
"Come on. You know, I didn’t actually cheat. You clearly said I should not use Aura Of Seduction or have sex."
The chibi slowly turned her head and narrowed those large pretty eyes of hers at him.

"I’m afraid so."

"You’re kind of wrong about that, you can actually have sex without kissing a person, and besides if you didn’t want me to kiss her, you should have just specified it during the mission."

Just as Alex was about to say something else, his ears suddenly twitched, causing his entire facial expression to change. His enhanced hearing had picked up something.
He immediately turned his head toward the window and saw that dozens of meters away, a young beautiful girl was walking down the sidewalk with another girl around her age.
The other girl, who was most likely than not, her best friend, was talking enthusiastically.
"And then I told him that he was absolutely my type! Oh my God, Lily, you should have seen him up close. He was so good looking!"
Lily didn’t seem particularly interested in what her friend was saying. She simply walked beside her friend with an indifferent expression and cut in.
"Jessica, you are always talking about handsome guys."
"What’s wrong with talking about them? They exist to be admired and talked about!"
All Lily could do was sigh. Alex meanwhile narrowed his eyes. There was something strangely familiar about that voice. He couldn’t immediately place it.
Just then, suddenly, five shady men emerged from the nearby alley with evil intent burning in their eyes. Before either girl could react, two of the men grabbed them from behind and clamped their hands over their mouths.
Alex’s expression instantly darkened. His hearing was powerful enough to pick up the struggle despite the distance. But when he heard Lily’s voice again. "Mm–!" His eyes widened.
It was Lily. He immediately recognized her as Andre’s daughter. But what the hell was she doing here? Alex glanced around before quickly finding a suitable place to park the Lamborghini. He then pulled over and stepped out.
The moment he closed the door, his body disappeared, thanks to his void step ability, and reappeared several meters away. He moved rapidly like a silent cat, following the small gang into the alley.
His hearing suddenly picked up something else. Crude laughter followed by the sound of hand meeting flesh roughly. Alex’s eyes instantly became cold. He heard the sound of someone hitting the ground after that slap and his footsteps became faster.
When he finally reached the end of the alley, the scene immediately came into full view. Five able bodied men with thuggish aura stood around the two pretty girls. One of the men was crouching beside Lily’s friend.
And the poor girl was clutching her cheek, with blood visible at the corner of her mouth. The man laughed and said,
"Damn, this pretty woman’s kidney should be worth a lot of money. We could probably fetch quite a bit for it at the black market."
Another man laughed.
"Forget the kidney. Look at her." He pointed toward Lily. "She’s young and beautiful. I guarantee selling her to the brothel or some rich old man would make us enough money for a whole lot of premium liquor and good food."
Lily’s expression immediately darkened and she said with defiance.
"You are insane." She slowly moved her hand downward. "If you don’t let us go right now, the cops will handle you. I hope you know that prison food tastes just as bad as it looks."
The man gave an evil laugh.
