"I will kill her then." Ni Mengxue rolled her eyes. She didn’t have time to deal with green tea bitches.

Ruo Chiwu sighed. She wasn’t surprised. All the tasks that Ni Mengxue had assigned her told her what kind of bitch she could become.

She made sure that Feng Lian was constantly falling for scams and squandering away all of her money while also hiring a few thugs to beat Feng Lian up.

Cai Shu wasn’t spared either; she was asked to do bizarre things in the name of bringing good luck and warding away bad luck, from getting swindled out of 50,000 zombie crystals to getting whipped.

Gu Lin was constantly exposed by a few of her confidants and even had her merits revoked. All in all, those who had gone against Ni Mengxue and Lu Yucai were suffering.

"Oh, right. Cai Shu may approach you too... she seemed to have realised that someone is messing with her and..."

"Let her. It’s time to settle the old and new grudges together." Ni Mengxue’s eyes flickered, and murderous intent flashed within them.

"Child, keep a low profile. Otherwise, you might attract danger." Ruo Chiwu warned, though her words seemed deeper than concern.

"Hm... are you talking about how Su Yao’s men are keeping an eye on me?" Ni Mengxue gave a half-smile and watched as all the colour drained from the older woman’s face.

"You know?"

"How could I not? They are very subtle, you know. I spotted some in the crowd when I went to save Yucai. They want to label me as trash and good for nothing. Like... Su Yao fears that if I have a good reputation, her plans would be disrupted."

Ni Mengxue had noticed how many women who were worse than her original host roamed freely, and yet no one questioned them. But her original self?

She was drowned in spit just for insulting her husband. Until and unless someone was manipulating from behind the scenes, she shouldn’t have been so famous.

"How do you know... it’s Su Yao?"

A grin spread across Ni Mengxue’s face. "Just like how I received a letter from a mysterious origin and the security guard didn’t even know its existence, but you claimed it was the guard who had sent it."

Ruo Chiwu froze before letting out a slow laugh. She was still the same nanny... only a bit sharper as she said, "You are smart. Now what? Want to kill me?"

"Kill you? Why? I am not a killing machine, Aunt Ruo. You are sensible enough not to ask me questions. Your proficiency in work is amazing. Let’s keep on getting along like we used to do. I will interrogate you once we reach our destination. Until then, think everything through and prepare an explanation for me."

Ruo Chiwu stared at Ni Mengxue and shook her head. "Alright, I understand. Shall we leave now?"

"Sure." Ni Mengxue nodded.

First, she entered the warehouse, situated right near the residential building they were living in, and put away all the supplies she had asked Ruo Chiwu to buy.

Then she took out her RV. It could hold at least 12 people, and if pushed, it could even accommodate 14 people. It was mainly for Ruo Chiwu, her six husbands, Ni Mengxue, Lu Yucai, Fu Sinan, Fu Jing, and Lu Yucai’s three most powerful men.

On entering the RV, the first thing that appeared in everyone’s vision was grey compartments acting as a wall, followed by a black chenille sofa that stretched till the door of another room.

Opposite the sofa was a bed that was foldable and acted as a wall, saving space. The inner room had a bed and a bathroom. There was also a circular, bright white light, the size of an adult palm, illuminating the place.

The driver’s and passenger’s seats were separated by a partition. The RV itself looked so grand and imposing that it made everyone relax a little.

Once inside, Ni Mengxue dragged Lu Yucai to the inner room, while the other ten men sat awkwardly in the living room. The driving duty was left to Aunt Ruo and her husbands.

.......................

Gu Lin stepped out of her house and slammed the door behind her. Her face was pale, and her eyes were swollen from crying.

She marched toward Ni Mengxue’s residential building, her fists clenched tightly at her sides. By the time she reached the entrance, several guards immediately stepped forward.

"Stop. You can’t enter without permission."

Gu Lin glared at them. "Move!"

The guards didn’t budge.

"I said move!"

Her voice cracked. Then, as if she could no longer hold herself back, she screamed, "Jiao Ji is dead!"

The guards exchanged glances. If expression could speak, he might as well have said, What does that have to do with me?

Gu Lin’s body trembled violently.

"Are you happy now?" she shouted, tears streaming down her face. "Does this make you happy?"

Guard: "..." What a psychopath.

She turned toward the residential building and screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Ni Mengxue! Come out! Come out and face me! Pay for your actions!"

Her voice echoed through the area.

Inside the building, Ni Mengxue had just reached the RV. She stopped when she heard the familiar voice.

She turned her head toward the entrance. "Gu Lin?"

She hadn’t expected her to come looking for her so soon. Ni Mengxue walked back outside.

The moment Gu Lin saw her, hatred flooded her eyes. Ni Mengxue stepped out of the residential area and calmly looked at her.

Her expression was indifferent, almost arrogant. Gu Lin pointed at her with a trembling finger. "Are you satisfied now?"

Ni Mengxue raised an eyebrow. "Satisfied with what?"

"My Jiao Ji is dead!"

Gu Lin’s voice broke as she sobbed. "You killed him! You ruined everything! And now he’s dead!"

Ni Mengxue blinked innocently.

"What does that have to do with me? And don’t you think he might be trying to trick you?"
