Xu Yang crouched behind a giant boulder, feeling the terrifying aura outside recede into the distance before finally letting out a breath, his back already slick with cold sweat from fright.

Both Snow-Crowned King Beasts had crystalline, flawless crown-like crests atop their heads, dazzling and irresistible, making one salivate at the sight.

One of them was stained in blood, covered in wounds, its aura feeble.

The other was savage and berserk, completely unscathed.

The three fleeing people were Zhang Jue, Huang Kai, and Wang Yue.

"Damn it, Huang Kai, you’ve gotten me killed!"

Zhang Jue fled in desperation, overwhelmed with grief and fury.

They really were Snow-Crowned King Beasts, extremely valuable— especially their crown crests, a treasure for strengthening the Primordial Spirit.

The uninjured Snow-Crowned King Beast suddenly lunged and crashed to the ground, shattering the ice for several dozen yards around. Immortal energy surged from its body, pouring into the cracks.

Blades of frigid air burst from the fissures like icy knives, piercing the sky, so fast that in a blink they slammed into the three cultivators.

Huang Kai and Zhang Jue both halted, wanting to go back for Wang Yue— but seeing the ferocious Snow-Crowned King Beast crushing the ice as it closed in, they broke out in cold sweats. Who would dare turn back?

Wang Yue let out a miserable shriek and was sent flying.

The two enraged beasts closed in relentlessly.

Zhang Jue and Huang Kai didn’t make it far.

The two were quickly blocked front and back by the twin Snow-Crowned King Beasts, faces pale, sweating in terror.

"It’s over."

"What now? Huang Kai, do you have any ideas?"

Zhang Jue’s face was filled with hopelessness.

Huang Kai’s expression was grim: "What can we use to stop them? I’m out of Jade Talismans and ice pearls— we can’t block them at all."

"Then we fight."

"Stall them for even a moment— if any of our senior brothers hear this commotion and show up, maybe there’s still a chance." Huang Kai gritted his teeth, clutching his Immortal Sword tightly.

"How timely— we meet again."

A mocking laugh suddenly came from above.

Zhang Jue and Huang Kai froze simultaneously and looked up.

"Xu Yang!"

Zhang Jue’s eyes popped wide— even those three snow fiends hadn’t been able to take him down?

At that moment, the Snow-Crowned King Beasts grew impatient, roaring wildly and pouncing as one.

"Please— I’m begging you."

The two Snow-Crowned King Beasts closed in from front and rear.

As it crashed disgraced to the ground, Xu Yang appeared above, his black Immortal Saber flickering with suffocating black divine flames. The blade shrieked with a metallic song, shuddering for a thousand yards, raising a stormy wave as it ripped dozens of wounds clean through the beast’s body with unmatched force.

The Snow-Crowned King Beast yowled in agony, convulsed on the dyed ice, then lay still, blood staining the field in a dazzling crimson.

Zhang Jue and Huang Kai stared blankly at the spectacle, utterly shocked out of their wits.

BAM BAM BAM!!

The Divine Tripod shook violently, thunderous booms echoing out endlessly.

Xu Yang glanced over, frowning.

Even the ancient Evil Qi in the Tripod of Heaven and Earth wasn’t enough to suppress this immortal beast.

He flashed to the Tripod’s side, and in a thought, unleashed even more terrifying Evil Qi from within the Lesser Immortal Realm inside.

Roar!

The Snow-Crowned King Beast screamed in pain, rampaging inside the Tripod, blood streaming from its struggle.

Swish!

The Divine Tripod suddenly vanished without a trace, Evil Qi scattering in all directions.

The Snow-Crowned King Beast, lunging for the tripod wall, missed and crashed with full force into the ice, smashing a huge hole.

Xu Yang switched the black saber in his hand for the Fourfold Daluo Saber, which sliced with precision into the beast’s neck, blood spraying in all directions.

The King Beast thrashed violently, exploding with raw force.

Xu Yang gripped the saber in both hands, manipulating the Heaven-Locking Divine Chain to bind the beast tight. Muscle and bone erupted with strength, grinding the Daluo Saber mercilessly.
