Chapter 2503 - 2511: What’s There to Show Off?
"Go inside, there are even more beautiful sights; don’t stand here like a country bumpkin just like Liu Grandma entering the Grand View Garden." Jillian Carter sarcastically remarked to Jane Sampson before casually following the group ahead.
"Such a flaw!"
Jane Sampson muttered under her breath, ignoring Jillian Carter, and pulled Coco Edwards along to keep standing there listening. Only after everyone had moved forward did she link arms with Coco Edwards and walk at the very end of the crowd.
Coco Edwards was genuinely thrilled.
"Jane, do you know how I persuaded myself just now not to embarrass you by pulling out my mobile phone and crazily taking selfies?" Coco Edwards shook Jane Sampson’s hand wildly, "I told myself, the day after tomorrow, the day after tomorrow I’ll come again, and I can take pictures wherever I like, with no passersby in the background. Such pretentiousness will be far superior than now when selfies are full of strangers. That’s how I’m suppressing my inner excitement."
"Once I follow you in to stay, I’ll record videos, little Jane, I’m telling you, I’m going viral!" Coco Edwards finished, glanced in the direction Jillian Carter was walking, and scoffed, "Why is she so arrogant? Calling you a bumpkin, isn’t she one too? If she’s not, what’s she showing off for?"
Jillian Carter grew up as the Carter Family’s daughter in the Carter estate; since Viewing Garden belongs to Granny Carter, Granny Carter loved her grandson and granddaughter when they were young, naturally bringing Jillian Carter to Viewing Garden many times.
It’s very likely that Jillian Carter would come to stay at Viewing Garden during every winter and summer vacation.
Naturally, Jillian Carter walked into Viewing Garden as smoothly as if entering her own backyard garden; she was clearly aware that the hidden sights were even more magnificent.
"Let’s view what we want, ignore her," Jane Sampson suggested. "When we come to live here, we can have Butler Worthington’s assistant introduce the design of this mansion; there might be a chance to invite JSY’s designers to stay for a few days; maybe everyone can get a bit of inspiration, creative ideas might come pouring in!"
"Makes sense; for instance, looking around now makes me feel a poetic urge; I really want to compose a poem," Coco Edwards nodded repeatedly.
Jane Sampson’s eyebrows twitched, "I recall you studied science in high school, right?"
"Yeah," Coco Edwards nodded, "I wasn’t good at literature, so I chose science, but it turns out I’m not good at physics or chemistry either, haha!"
"Are you sure you want to compose a poem?" Jane Sampson asked, "Are you really sure?"
Coco Edwards burst out laughing, grabbed Jane Sampson and tickled her, "You dislike me, as if I didn’t hear it."
Afraid of disturbing the people ahead, Jane Sampson tried hard to suppress her laughter, begging Coco Edwards to stop, which she finally did.
"Think about Jillian Carter’s show-off manner in front of you just now. I’m very curious now, when Jillian Carter learns that this mansion now belongs to you, how angry will she get?"
Coco Edwards curiously whispered to Jane Sampson, "All her present boasting, on that day, she herself will realize how ridiculous it is, right? Every time she shows off, it’s like slapping her own face, smack, smack, don’t even mention how loud it’ll be."
"She’ll be upset." Jane Sampson understood this well, but she didn’t care.
What Granny Carter gave her, whether she accepted or not, had nothing to do with Jillian Carter.
This was Granny Carter’s love for her granddaughter, which had no relation to Jillian Carter.
