The earth cracked for miles on end as a massive creature crashed into the earth like a meteor.

The other Raukhar howled into the air as their ears stood on end.
My grin widened as I pulled back my fist, taking a proper look at the monsters around me.
The creatures were massive wolf-like creatures, that is if wolves came in truck size.
Each of them, while still on all fours, stood well over twice the height of a grown man. Their bodies were lean rather than bulky, built for relentless speed instead of brute force.
Matted charcoal-black fur ran across powerful frames streaked with crimson veins that pulsed like molten cracks beneath the hide. Long saber-like fangs protruded from powerful jaws, while pairs of ember-red eyes burned with an unnatural hunger that never seemed to fade.
Thick bone-like spikes jutting along their spines and forelegs, turned every charge into a weapon of its own.
"Heh! You guys are one very dangerous breed of scooby do aren’t you?"

I didn’t know if they understood the jab or not. But the pack howled as all the wolves launched themselves at me.

Following the brilliant flash of gold that illuminated the skies. The pack of wolves charging at me were instantly split into equal pieces.

"Alright my lovely puppies. Come to daddy! Ahahahahahaha..." I rested Elira on my shoulder as I made my way deeper.
I could have just decided to flatten this entire forest.
It didn’t matter how far it stretched. If I wanted it gone. It would be gone.

Another howl shook the forest as multiple Raukhar burst through the foliage.
Ahead. Behind. By my sides. I was surrounded.

I made my way deeper into the forest, giving the forest an overdue trim while Elira left fresh scars across the land. Behind us, incomplete Raukhar carcasses lay scattered from one end of the path to the other. While ahead of us multiple were still lining up to receive their turn.

The body of another Raukhar was slit cleanly down the middle as I rested Elira’s dripping axe blade on my shoulder.
"Hmmm... this is taking more time than I thought?" I mused thoughtfully as I looked at the mountain of wolf corpses around me. I had already walked further than I’d cared to want.
I seemed to have underestimated the size of this place.
"No... this won’t do." I needed to get this thing done with fast and move on to getting that promotion. I wasn’t interested in wasting any time in this Deepwalker rank.
"But how..." how do I complete this quest without resorting to flattening this entire place. I still wanted my cutting action. So destroying the whol place was out of the question...
"Aha! I can just do that..." a light build lit up in my head as I got a brilliant idea.
"Oyy! Shulvan. I’ll need you to back up a bit. Things are about to get a bit rough."
Shulvan. Still busy gathering what was probably the most insane amount of dog ears in the world, stopped.

My clone asked the moment it appeared.

"Alright buddy. Let’s get you away from death, shall we?" Grabbing the guy by the scruff of his neck, they both vanished.

Shulvan had said that the Alpha of these forests was a Cataclysmic-rank infernal.
That, in normal terms would translate to someone who had stepped into the Law creation ranks.
The last I had faced anyone on such a level. Barring my old man Valen who I’m sure is deep in that rank or might even be higher, was that bitch Asmodeus.
But the bastard was scared away by the old man so it wasn’t a proper face off.
So this time....
"Time to see just what this rank is all about." This was why I had insisted on coming here.
Shulvan had said it was one of the more dangerous places around the vicinity.
And what more a proper whetstone than a Cataclysmic-grade infernal?

The forest beneath me collapsed beneath the pressure. Ancient trees disintegrated by the thousands as the land itself caved under the release of my aura.
And just when my aura was about to climax...

A heaven shaking howl erupted from the earth below.

The numbers so vast it felt unending.
