Chapter 105: THE MADNESS MET WITH CRAZINESS
Zade pulled her down so that she was lying on the grass with his arm as a pillow.
"There is nowhere more comfortable than sleeping next to you, Seara. I don’t even put that into a category of uncomfortable, let alone a sacrifice."
"I spent a lot of your time and money."
"I have an abundance of both." Zade was immortal and one of the wealthiest men alive at this point. "You can burn our money for fun. Tell me the real one that bothers you."
And now, when Seara saw Zade’s reaction and he asked this question, she couldn’t name anything, though she felt strongly that Zade was living in discomfort because of her.
"I am crazy."
"People call me the mad Lycan king," Zade reminded her. "We are a match from heaven." He kissed her forehead. "Tell me about your craziness, and I will love you anyway. Let’s dwell in the world of madness together."
Seara took his hand and kissed his knuckles this time, the same way he was used to kissing her. She realized how her overthinking had messed her up.
"Will you be embarrassed if people learn that I have been admitted into a psychiatric ward?"
"Should I?" Zade picked up a leaf from her hair. "Seara, you don’t know how much Jane wanted to put me into a padded room. If they don’t fear me so much, they might have admitted me into one."
"Why do people call you the mad Lycan king?" Seara didn’t know much about the Lycans; she only knew the basic information that all of the shifters were aware of them.
"It’s a long story." Zade would rather not tell his sweet mate this story.
In the past, killing someone was not as restricted as it was in the current era. When the shifters and humans coexisted openly and their existence was known, Zade did something atrocious that ultimately prevented shifters from killing humans without facing consequences. This moment later forced shifters to conceal their existence from humans.
What Zade did a hundred years ago only scratched the surface of what he had done a few centuries earlier.
Zade wouldn’t tell Seara in detail—probably one day, but obviously not now. He only said that he had done something unforgivable.
"Does my madness bother you?"
"No."
"I feel the same about your craziness."
Seara laughed. She was surprised by how easy Zade made her feel better. He talked about it lightly, as if it were only a trivial thing; on the other hand, he tended to her seriously, as if it were the most important thing.
She loved how he made her feel and how he could say the right things to stop her overthinking and prevent it from leading to a destructive path.

"Oliver, what is wrong with you?" Olivia asked her brother when she caught him staring at his own reflection again.
As far as she knew, her brother was not some kind of ego maniac who would stare at the mirror every five minutes.
However, Oliver was doing that again; he caught himself in the mirror and stood there for at least five minutes, staring at himself.
"Did you get a nose job? Why are you acting so weird?" Olivia crossed her arms. "Come on, I need to buy a dress for tomorrow’s party. You have to get a suit for yourself, right?"
That was right; the Blaze Company’s annual party would be held tomorrow, and aside from the top management, several close partners were invited as well, including the Brooks family.
Of course, Oliver would be there too, and he was looking forward to it.
"Right. We need to go now," Oliver said with a smile to his sister, but once again, he glanced at the mirror, and Olivia scoffed at him.
What to do, Oliver couldn’t help it. It was still surreal for him. Even though he was happy to be able to walk again, the downside was having a human body, which meant he couldn’t shift into his beast form, and he felt vulnerable because of it.
He also had to pretend not to know the other shifters, acting as if he were an innocent human who was unaware of their existence.
Oliver was Daven, and ever since Daven occupied this body, the memories of the real Oliver belonged to him as well.
It was quite a headache, but now he had gotten used to it.
"Will Mr. Blaze come with his woman?" Oliver asked as he started the engine; the car revved softly, and he drove out of the house gates.
Oliver came from a family of money; even when he was the alpha of the Blackthorne Pack, he didn’t have the same fortune as the Brooks family.
Living in a big city like Wvern was completely different.
"What woman?" Olivia furrowed her brows; she looked at her brother a little bit longer. He had been talking nonsense lately. "You mean Ace Sol? Mr. Sol is the one who has been managing the company, while Mr. Blaze usually doesn’t attend to this kind of party."
"Oh..." Oliver nodded. He had that information too from the memories of the real Oliver.
In the business world, Ace Sol was the name they were familiar with, while Zade Blaze, the real owner of the company, was hidden behind the screen.
They knew his name; who wouldn’t know him? But not many people ever saw the man. He had been living a private life for so long.
Of course, Oliver knew why and who Zade Blaze was.
"I wish he would come..." Oliver mumbled under his breath, and Olivia threw her brother a questioning look.
Oliver really wanted to see her again. It had been close to one year since the last time he saw her. No... it was almost four years, because when that Lycan took her away, he couldn’t even get to see her face properly.
Seara...
At that time, his phone rang, and it was Jeremy who called him.
"Pick it up!" Olivia said eagerly.
