Chapter 43: HE WAS GOING TO MAKE THEM SUFFER
The room filled with screams and hollers of pain as they felt the poison burn their throats and boil their blood.
On the other hand, Zade watched everything. His electric blue eyes darkened. Now he witnessed how much in pain Seara was when they forced her to drink the poison.
Zade watched how they writhed in pain while holding their throats.
And this was how his mate was abused before she was locked away for years. Zade felt his beast at the edge of his consciousness. The urge to kill them all was so strong, and without him realizing it, Zade had moved toward Brigid, since she was the closest one.
It was worth wondering if she could heal herself after he skinned her alive...
There was a vicious smirk at the corner of Zade’s lips. He couldn’t care less about the fact that they were women, and it was not very noble of him as a man to hurt them.
He didn’t need nobility when all he wanted was revenge for his mate.
"You are going to kill them," Ace said, reminding Zade. He grabbed Zade’s arm to stop him from coming after Brigid.
Rexton and Silas were on edge, and so were the rest of the warriors inside the room. They felt sick to their stomach when the three women started vomiting and couldn’t help as they convulsed on their own mess.
Meanwhile, the warriors outside could only hear the horror that Zade had created. They were restless, and the air felt so heavy.
"Zade." Ace tightened his grip when he saw that Zade was about to give in to his bloodlust.
The Lycan king then stopped walking and turned around to look at his royal beta. He stared at Ace for a long moment until he let go of his arm.
It was not only the pack members of the Blackthorne Pack who were unsettled; Ace felt the same, too. Once Zade lost it, it would be another massacre.
You didn’t play with a Lycan who lost control over their human side because they were lethal.
"They are not that lucky," Zade said in his icy tone and then shifted his attention to Silas, who was standing at the corner with Rexton. "Show me my mate’s bedroom."
Silas felt irritated when he heard the way Zade called Seara ’his mate,’ but he was not stupid enough to show it on his face.
"This way, My King." Silas glanced at Brigid, who stretched her hand toward him, asking to be saved, yet Silas threw her a nasty look. She was dirty after all.

Seara had finished her session with Jane an hour before, and now she was playing with Reaper’s pups, whom she named based on their appearances. Little Paw, because the pup was the smallest among the three; Black Dot, because the pup had white fur on his hind legs while covered in black fur; and Spike, because the pup had pointed ears.
"I saw a man outside," Seara said all of a sudden when she put Spike on her lap, caressing his fur, while Reaper and his mate lay down next to her, and their other two pups were with Maisie and Caylin.
"A man? What man?" Zephyr thought there was a warrior who had forgotten the new rule and was roaming around the bungalow area; thus, he didn’t think much.
"A man with red eyes," Seara replied casually. "He was staring at me and then poof—disappeared."
"What?" Zephyr got up from the sofa and approached Seara, who was sitting on the carpet. Reaper’s ears perked, but he was not as aggressive as before. "There is no one with red eyes; that’s scary."
There were a lot of shifters around the residence, but Zephyr swore there was no one with red eyes. It was not common.
"Yes. That’s scary. That’s why Reaper barked." Seara lifted her head. "Reaper didn’t bark at you when you pet his pup. He barked at the person at the window, behind you."
Zephyr straightened his back. "Seriously, Seara, don’t scare me."
"No, I am serious." Seara blinked her eyes innocently, but then she seemed to forget what she was saying and continued playing with the pups.

Silas left Zade in front of Seara’s old bedroom, which they had turned into a storage room, with all of her things still inside.
Even when he didn’t get the short end of the stick of the Lycan’s wrath, he still could feel the tension in the air. One wrong move and one wrong word, and he would be six feet under.
"You can leave," Ace said when he noticed Zade wasn’t paying attention to Silas anymore.
The gamma didn’t need to be told twice; he immediately left, but not before he glanced over his shoulder and stared at the Lycan for a brief moment.
He wanted to ask how Seara was right now, but he couldn’t bring the question out of his mouth.
Meanwhile, Zade twisted the doorknob and entered the room. There was no trace of Seara’s scent here. The room was damp, and it smelled like rusty iron.
This room was so small. The bathroom in the bungalow was even bigger than whatever this place was.
However, they still kept the single-size bedroom at the side with a lot of boxes on top of it. Dust fluttered in the air, and a spider had made this place home.
Zade didn’t think this room was better when Seara still occupied it. Whatever she had here was not even decent.
This room was like another cell for her.
"Ace," Zade called his royal beta as he opened one of the boxes that sent dirt fluttering. "Get everything related to Seara. Everything. I want those women’s phones, as well as the alpha’s, the beta’s, and the gamma’s; anyone who is close enough to get a picture, a video, or any small information about my mate."
Zade was going to see for himself how far they had made his mate suffer in this pack.
