Zalesier Match - Destroy Each -
With the Royal Army Kingsguard Division, the remaining Kingsguard who leapt to the left wing of the Imperial Army is David Sapier, the Royal Army Lieutenant General, as head of the Count's family. Sapir left the Imperial Army left-wing unit to the 3rd Cavalry Regiment and himself moved his troops to block the exit of the 3 enemy avant-garde divisions.
The Royal Army Command set out to destroy the Imperial Army avant-garde at once on this occasion. The division directly under the command was dispatched as reinforcements to the Royal Army avant-garde units wherever possible to reinforce the Schmidt division.
Schmidt, reinforced by reinforcements, stepped out of the defensive offensive and was attacked by the Imperial Guard avant-garde in conjunction with the 3rd Cavalry Regiment of the Kingsguard Division, which broke through the Kingsguard Division led by Sapir and the Imperial Left Wing Unit.
Lt. Gen. Joles Irven, who leads a division of three Imperial Army avant-gardes, finally got an accurate picture of what was going on around him at this time. Already his own division is under a semi-sixing, the left-wing Sadirin division is collapsing and the rear is being cut off. He said the right wing would also become jilli poor under enemy attack and risk being completely besieged by a large number of enemies as it stands. The Imperial Army planned a siege on the Royal Army.
Lieutenant General Irven immediately ordered his men to communicate with the main management. Launch the flare over the sky and request reinforcements. Whether to retreat or move on, it was visible that many troops were needed.
It appears that Commander-in-Chief Marshal Rokosovski was planning to send reinforcements without the need for Lieutenant General Irven to raise the flare. If we do not send reinforcements, it is visible that the avant-garde and the right wing will be destroyed. But he missed his decision over this period.
For whatever reason.
That was due to anxiety that the rebels might be placing further ambushes.
The rebels lured the Imperial Guard's avant-garde to a point in their own favour, and tried to siege them once and for all. That is being completed so far, and I know that this siege must be lifted. But as soon as this is the main operation, or the division of the rear guard, and rescue the avant-garde, will the rebels carry out further ambushes from both sides? In that case, we can be sure that the rescue unit will also be placed under siege and wiped out.
Besides, the movement of the rebel right-wing reinforcements, which are trying to block the rear of the Imperial Army avant-garde and attack the rear of the Irven squad, was odd. He also appears to be completely turning his back on the main camp of the Imperial Army, or Rokosovski, and concentrating on the attack of the Irven squad. Isn't this proof left that you don't care about the back? As soon as the Imperial Army rolls out reinforcements, is it possible to concentrate on the attack of the Irven squad because the ambushes are about to strike from both left and right flanks?
It is not that we do not now have the means to send a reconnaissance force to ascertain the presence of ambushes. But it would be a waste of time where I did it now. Because it is possible for the rebels to completely render the avant-garde incapable of combat while conducting reconnaissance.
Rokosovski thought, trouble-free, and made his decision. That could have been a slightly halfway decision.
"Contact the guard's division. Let's hit the main business defense."
Senior General Wallery Popov, Chief of General Staff, who heard the order, doubted his own ears. Marshal Rokosovski wondered if he was trying to abandon the avant-garde.
"But then the avant-garde..."
"... no, the rebel movement is unnatural. Probably a new ambush on both left and right flanks. In order to be able to react immediately, the rear guard shall be placed at the midpoint between the main operation and the avant-garde, to restrain the enemy ambush and the movement of the left-wing reinforcements. Send a reconnaissance team and let them know where the ambushes are."
That was Rokosovski's decision.
But the Royal Army assembled in the Zalesier Plains was only in this battlefield with eight divisions, that is, troops attacking the Imperial Army avant-garde at the moment.

It goes back two and a half months on January 15th. High Counsellor Major Emilia Silesia met with Marshal Morris Rubinstein, Head of General Operations in the Kingdom, to show him the interception operation proposal she herself had drawn up.
Here is the initial proposal for Emilia's operation (...).
The expected number of Eastern Continental Imperial Army mobilized is 40 to 50 divisions. In order to increase the rate of occupation, and to prepare the land early to dawn to the imperial nobility, the Imperial Army will split divisions from 3 to 5, each of which will begin its march for its own merits.
The Royal Silesian Army has declared a reserve mobilization and will gather as many soldiers as possible. Perhaps we can have 20 divisions by March. Split it up to match the Imperial Army's advance forces and focus on defense everywhere.
The number of divisions of each legion to be divided is as follows:
Northeast Defense Corps: 1 division.
Central and North Defense Corps: 2 divisions.
Southeast Defense Corps: 2 divisions.
And as an Imperial Army Interception Unit, we compile a 15-division motorized corps.
Discuss the Imperial Army, expected 10 divisions, deployed in and around the south-central side at the beginning. Then operate 15 divisions as one unit to rescue each line of defense, and sweep the remaining enemies as they absorb the divisions of each legion of defense.
We're talking about reproducing the "2nd Blackboard Match" that Yuzef Waresa once taught in the Residual Class, on a larger scale.
Rubinstein was admired when he was shown this proposed operation.
From the point of view of the "principle of force concentration," it is obvious what this operation is intended to do: beat 10 divisions with 15 divisions and you will not lose first. And drive the enemy out of Silesia with those 15 divisions in motion. And the marching routes of that legion, as well as the dates, necessary personnel, generals, supplies, and more are elaborated.
Rubinstein saw Emilia as merely a princess on track, but he just admired this elaborate plan of operations and had to change Emilia's ratings.
Therefore, Rubinstein rejected this proposal outright.
"May I ask why, My Lord General?"
Emilia asks a slightly dissatisfied question. He was immediately rejected for this draft operation, which he had worked out for three days and three nights, gathered materials and included Mayan advice. It is natural, in a sense, to be dissatisfied.
But even in view of the circumstances, Rubinstein has to dismiss it.
"There are a few problems with this draft op."
"What is it"
"First of all, gather the first, 15 divisions in one battlefield, and then there is no commander in Silesia who can reasonably move it"
The regular strength of the Royal Silesian Army is 15 divisions. It is a natural story that there are still no human beings in a small military country like Silesia who can operate that many corps.
"Second, if we gather 15 divisions in the first place, there is no doubt that problems such as escape and plague will arise."
People, the more they get together, the more problems they have. The typical question is, "If we all do something wrong, we'll have a better chance of success and, moreover, less guilt".
There are and always have been a certain number of people trying to escape from the army. If that were war, then it would have been a matter of death and death for this soldier's escape to an organization called the Army. If 15 divisions were assembled, the soldier could escape on a battalion by battalion basis.
The problem of the plague is also troublesome: it is imperative that some 15 divisions give rise to hygiene problems, and measures to prevent them will be essential.
"The third is that the other lines of defense have too little fighting power. It's unrealistic to tell 10 expected divisions to respond with 1-2 divisions."
If the law of attack triple is correct, you would say that you need 4 divisions and at least 3 divisions to respond to 10 enemy divisions. Yet ordering them to defend themselves in a division or two was too harsh a story.
"... Not that there's anything else, but this is the main reason"
……
Emilia didn't put it on her expression, but she was very sorry inside. But it might have been better for her to be treated as a soldier and denied from a military point of view than "rejected because you don't care".
Rubinstein began to think "maybe a little too much" when he saw Emilia shut up and went into the defense for himself.
"But the policy of destroying each seems right in itself. I want to elevate you from here to an even better plan of action."
"... thank you"
Emilia expressed her gratitude, but it was full of what Rubinstein called "an even better draft operation" in her head. The General Manager said each destruction was correct. That would be true not only from a strategic point of view, but also from a tactical point of view.
Emilia thought about it for a while, then said she was going to drain Rubinstein's liver.
"May I then state the second proposal of the operation, having listened to the advice of His Excellency the Director General?
The second proposal she spoke of was an increase in the number of divisions on each line of defence and a reduction in the number of manoeuvres to eight divisions. And in those eight divisions, we discuss the Imperial Army of the expected 10 divisions. The plan was to destroy each of them on the battlefield as well.
This second proposal was amended by further advice from the Director-General and became the third.
And that third proposal was adopted as a formal interception operation proposal on 20 February.
