Continental Hero Senki
Operation commenced.
It was on 29 May that the proposed operation, which was raised jointly by Lieutenant General Sapier of the Kingsguard Division and Major Emilia, High Counsellor of the General Operations Headquarters, was accepted at the operational meeting in Leguille. The troops participating in the operation are the Kingdom's strongest Kingsguard Division 3rd Cavalry Regiment, the 1st Squadron responsible for its core. Under the command of Lieutenant Commander Lieutenant Colonel Darius Meisel, it was decided to deploy on 5 June.
Also accompanied by the 1st Squadron, the First Princess, Emilia Silesia, was to send out escorts to ask Laskino for permission to cross the Army and to raise supplies. The princess never breaks into imperial territory, but still, just in case, it was an advance with dozens of SS and Kingsguard infantry.
Just before that line of princesses left Leguille, a little tabernacle madness was held.
"Your Highness! Why don't you take me!?
Maya Krakowska, the princess's samurai samurai, was protesting against her master. Though it was more of a tone of appeal to the extent of his tragedy than a protest.
In contrast, her master, Princess Emilia, persuaded her in a tone that would teach her.
"Maya, you must not say my utmost, right?
"It's not all my fault! I am Princess Emilia's samurai samurai! The duty and responsibility to follow the princess…"
"Oh? Not now, is it?
"What?"
"Where were you at the Zalesier meeting?
"... ah"
Maya Krakowska has been transferred to head of the Swordmen Platoon of the Schmidt Division by the will of Princess Emilia before the Zalesier match. Since then, Maya is still supposed to say she belongs to the Schmidt Division because she did not have a separate life. That was something that even Major General Schmidt, his immediate boss, had forgotten because it was a provisional measure due to a quick decision. However, it is certain that since then Maya has not incurred any obligation and responsibility to follow the Princess.
"No, but the..."
"Don't worry about it. I am not going to the enemy land. I'm just going to go negotiate some politics. And."
"And?"
"While Sarah and I are temporarily away from Atheni, when the Imperial Army goes on offense, it will be troubling if Maya doesn't protect the land."
"Your Highness...!
Maya could not forbid to be moved by Emilia's words. When my lord understands that he has left his back with himself, he is the ultimate joyful servant.
Most importantly, this was Princess Emilia's convenience.
Emilia believed that the Empire would not go on a massive offensive for a while. The reason is unknown, but the remaining five divisions of the Imperial Army Reserve will not try to get behind the Royal Army even in this situation. Even if the Imperial Army goes on offense at that time, it will only wait for death with a lot of bleeding.
but Maya, who doesn't know, or at least doesn't seem to know, vowed her allegiance and obedience to Emilia out loud.
"Your Highness, I will protect you here, so please don't hesitate to do your duty."
"Whatever. Maya, please."
June 5 at 5: 20 am.
On the morning when the morning sun was dazzling, the 1st Squadron of the 3rd Cavalry Regiment of the Kingsguard Division and the line of Princess Emilia issued Leguille.

In the Imperial Army on the other hand, intermediate officers of some commanders were high. Most of them were lords or men of the imperial aristocracy. They wanted martial arts medals in search of new territories, fame and titles.
"Marshal! You can't just keep staring at me like this! Let's go on offense here at once and hang the heads of the traitors on this sword tip!
"That's right! The Viscount is right!
"Marshal! Permission to leave!
They had persistently repeated their appeal to Marshal Bakunin, who officially took the seat of Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Army. Marshal Bakunin, himself an emperor, wanted to mount an offensive. But by the Royal Army, which lays a strong defensive line, the operations he or his men had planned had been bounced back.
Bakunin also knew that tactics had to be assembled from a wider perspective to slap the Royal Army. But he didn't have the ability to do it as much as he could, and all he could do was keep standing and caged in the Lake Atheni region and wait until the enemy's fatigue and the burden of replenishment reached their limits.
The command, which also appeared to be such a Bakunin weak waist, bought disapproval from some nobles. Especially when the Imperial Army offensive operation of 21 May failed, the runoff of the nobility was applauded. All he said was, "If Marshal Bakunin can't do it, I'll do it," but he attacked Bakunin.
At the end of the sentence also continued the general who repeated the assault at will, ignoring the standby order.
On 31 May, Viscount Barjay, one of the officers who had complained to Bakunin, led a cavalry under his flag to storm the legions of the Royal Army General Lax in a battle that could be described as brave or reckless. Naturally, the Barjays cavalry was fought back by the Royal Army and Barjays died in battle.
And when it came to this, the aristocrats grew up, they were not.
One nobleman praised Viscount Barjay for his actions as a "hero martyred by the Empire," while another said, "Barjay died because he was incompetent. If I had done it, it would have been different," he blatantly accused Barjay.
If this happens frequently inside the Imperial Army, it will also involve the morale of junior soldiers and future operations. Marshal Bakunin was pressed by the need to deflect their grievances as soon as possible.
The reason why such things are so frequent is because of the encouragement of the former Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Army, Marshal Rokosovski, before the beginning of the war. He was emphasizing the heart of the prize imperative more than necessary at that time. It was the noble commander who truly received it that went into such short action.
Sergei Romanov, Major General of the Imperial Army, was laid idle with Marshal Bakunin with one head at his side, taking first place in the right to inherit the throne.
He had significantly diminished his voice inside the military since the failure of the operation on 21 May. The division under the flag also remained staffed, unable to move either himself or freely.
"But it's not like there's no way"
Sergei was taking a temporary break - though more than a week after each other - with his friend and speaker standing aside and head of the SS escort, Colonel Mikhail Kreutzer. Kreutzer, like Sergei, had plenty of time, so he continues his important task of speaking to him.
"Really?
"Ah. If I were a rebel, or even a Royal Silesian Army, I wouldn't go out with Bakunin in the war of attrition he intended."
"Sure...... So, what if your Excellency were in Marshal's position?
"Right. You'd be selling oil at Corbel right now. Put in the rest of your reserve power and hit the back of the Royal Army. That'll keep them rolling down the ramp to defeat."
"So why don't you go up to the command?
"Huh? Why?
Kreutzer had to be surprised to hear this. Because Sergei had the look of a sincere doubt.
"Because if we do that, our empire can win, right?
"You can win. Probably won't let the general lose his life in vain."
"Then why?
"Because we know this proposal won't work out."
I said that. He looked sincerely grumpy. From Kreutzer's point of view, Sergei's behavior with a huge sigh was too common and a bit ridiculous. I didn't put it on my face because it was disrespectful.
"In my position, I am under the command of Malmberg. So if I were to file a draft operation, I'd have to get permission from that Malmberg bastard first. Um, Malmberg."
Sergei remembered Malmberg's response when he arrived in Lida, which made him even more grumpy. A terrible wrinkle between the eyebrows is more evidence than anything else.
"So why don't you go straight up to Marshal Bakunin for disrespect? At least Marshal Bakunin knows better than General Malmberg."
Kreutzer advised so, but there was no certainty. Besides, Bakunin will not currently have time to busy his aristocratic opponents to read the other troops' petitions. The implication was strong that I just tried to say it to relieve Sergei's grump.
But Sergei betrayed Kreutzer's expectations. No, Kreutzer probably had predictions. Sergei is a man who does when he does.
"Right. The Bakunin guy must be my political enemy too, but is it better than letting the general die in vain? Let's make an application and submit it quickly."
It was on June 5 that the application drawn up by Sergei was handed to Marshal Bakunin as advised by Kreutzer.
