Caroyano Cavalry Battle - Previous
Night of August 18.
The Central Army of the Second Reich of Christ (Tagma) cavalry unit deployed around Caroyano was not a divisional regiment of heavy-armored cavalry (cataphract) led by Major General Tiberius, but a regular light cavalry more mobile and light-hearted, suitable for what is termed trade sabotage and reconnaissance tasks.
The total number of its troops is as Yuzef expected, and one battalion is about 1000 or so less. It was Central Army Major Coniates who led this.
Coniates had been ordered by Major General Tiberius to examine the size of the Ostomark Army Decapitated Unit stationed in Caroyano and, if possible, to obstruct the actions of that unit.
Coniates therefore attempted to dimension the supply route through trade sabotage, as well as power reconnaissance through unscheduled raids, and succeeded in locking up the Caroyano garrison unit there.
But it's only been two days since they got here. An effective reconnaissance operation could not have been carried out in the midst of a geographically uninformed enemy area.
"... 5,000 to 10,000 troops stationed in Caroyano, huh? That's pretty wide."
Coniates had some dissatisfaction with reports from the powerful reconnaissance unit. The deputy to the rapporteur also begins to forgive Coniates while he is sorry.
"But, Major, I still only did the power reconnaissance once. Again, the morale of enemy troops has fallen, and even if the enemy retains 10,000 troops, it will not be a threat."
The deputy's opinion is not incorrect. Rather, it should be praised for getting that much information in one power reconnaissance. But what Coniates was asking for was not enemy information, but the safety of the defenceless Tiberius division and the Terme Brigade, currently under siege in Probdiv.
"It is our role to ensure that we can push the enemy's Decapitated Troops into Caroyano.... There was only one Squadron deploying now, right?
It's Lord Left, Major.
"Then let 5 squadrons deploy today to play guerrilla warfare. Attack all moving targets except the Friends."
Coniates' order was the destruction of the Ostomark army barracks by a thorough guerrilla battle.
Next, August 19 at 10: 30.
Each of the five formed squadrons is released into the field in search of prey. Coniates himself ran across the horse and into the battlefield.
And less than a few hours later, the squadron led directly by Coniates encountered the heavy soldiers of the Ostomark army.
"Lord Major, the Ostmark army seems alarmed over this period! As we act, no escort will ever make it back and forth to the battlefield..."
The deputy stared at the Ostmarc Army Heavy Soldiers in an excited manner and tried to storm in the momentum of that excitement without having to order. But Coniates pulled the lieutenant's brave legs off.
"I guess. So this is a trap."
"... a trap?
"That's right. It's a trap. The reason is, as your honor has just said, they're too defenseless. It's like, 'Come on, we're defenseless heavy soldiers. Go ahead and attack. That's what we want."
Coniates joked as he subtly changed pitch, but his mind was filled with fear and vigilance. What happens if you attack this Heavy Soldier. In the midst of ravaging Heavy Soldiers on track, aren't enemies attacking from another side?
"If we lose our power here and now, our battalion will lose its commander. I can't take that risk. Let's keep our eyes shut here."
He said so, praising his exciting men and not ordering the assault, watching as the Ostmarc Heavy Troops entered Caroyano.
And a squadron other than the squadron under Coniates similarly discovered the defenseless enemy heavy soldiers. But each squadron commander ignored this for exactly the same reason as Major Coniates and missed the heavy soldiers.
The central army cavalry battalion officers who have confirmed those defenseless heavy soldiers in multiple locations will be relieved. Good, he still said that was a trap. I'm glad you didn't attack.
On the other hand, however, they are returning to their positions on this day with a zero result in relation to not attacking the defenseless heavy soldiers.
The following August 20.
Coniates released the cavalry, as they had the day before, but they also encountered Ostmarc heavy soldiers. Now I was wearing an escort, but I didn't attack this for exactly the same reason as the day before.
Coniates said,
"You Ostmark army, they don't have much of a hand. He said he'd set up the same hand for two days in a row."
and.
But the next day, August 21. Things change rapidly.
Some of the crew, dissatisfied with finishing with 0 results for the second day in a row, attacked the Ostmarc Heavy Troops. The battle was minimal because of the small number of soldiers who stormed it, but the expected Ostomark army trap was not activated.
This perplexed and plagued the cavalry forces.
Few, if any, of the troops have had the effect of violating orders. And the enemy wasn't putting up a trap or anything. The dissatisfaction that if the attack had been carried out on the 19th and 20th, it would have been more effective was raised by some officers and corporals.
"The troops of the Garrison of Caroyano are about to be reinforced because Lord Major missed his miserable enemy! How you intend to take responsibility!
Neither did the sergeant, who was so absurd in his voice, hesitate to order the attack until the day before, but he shifted it to the responsibility of Coniates and made a scene.
There were successive voices of dissatisfaction and anger from soldiers in tune with this, and finally even the human being in the deputy captain,
"If you miss any more of your enemy's Heavy Soldiers, your enemies will be enhanced, and hence your unfolding friends in Probdiv will be at risk. Permission to attack before the enemy regains his posture!
I'm not sure if he lost the persuasion of his desperately complaining subordinates, whether the blame shifting noise became depressing, or whether the commander himself wanted to make a difference, but Coniates finally raises his heavy hips.
"Okay. You can't allow any more enemy movement. If you find the enemy heavy soldiers, attack them immediately, do not rob them of supplies, destroy and incinerate them and seal off the caroyano!
On August 22, five cavalry squadrons began to run again for prey.
But Coniates regretted the decision. In the form of second-class advances to the Colonel, though.
13: 30.
The cavalry squadron led by Coniates discovers the Ostmarc Army heavy soldiers. Coniates, who had not put it in the earliest stages that it was a trap, immediately ordered an assault, before the Central Army Cavalry of Christ, who walked with a loud voice, and the Ostmarc Army Heavy Soldiers dispersed without exchanging - it seemed.
But the reality was different. In response to the assault of the Coniates Cavalry Squadron, the Ostmarc Army Heavy Soldiers deployed nearby and neatly. Soldiers descended not only from the escort, but also from the carriage, and aligned themselves as if nothing had happened, putting up spears.
Three tactics are particularly effective when attacking a cavalry: attack from a distance, delayed tactics by defensive positions, and defense by a wagon. But each of them requires the presence of a powerful sorcerer, the time to build a position and the tactics to guide the enemy to the position, and a strong morale soldier who is not frightened and puts his spear forward when the cavalry storms.
Coniates, who commands the cavalry, naturally knows this as well. That's why he understood that this Heavy Soldier was more than just a supply unit.
That they are not heavy soldiers, but well-trained Ostmark army spear soldiers.
"Abort the assault! Abort!"
Coniates slows down the horse and desperately orders his men. But the voice could not reach before the footsteps of an army horse that ran on the battlefield and treaded heavily upon the earth. Even if it sounds like it, it's also an unscrupulous story to say that a cavalry with speed on board suddenly stops.
A few minutes later, the cavalry squadron under Coniates failed to storm. Major Coniates or fewer than 67 people were killed or injured and deprived of their ability as squadrons.
And similar events were happening in four other places around Caroyano.
---
"- And that was my suggestion. Heavy soldiers are certainly a trap, but they're loaded with supplies, and we'll put reinforcements on it. While the enemy thinks it's a trap, it increases its power and activates the trap if the enemy breaks its paralysis."
My idea, the proposed interception of enemy guerrillas is simple. Fishing with bait to 'poke' the cavalry's weakness, literally. That was just it. This is the result of ingenious ideas on how to hide it from the enemy or not make him think.
"The cavalry that is destroying commerce is not a man who can stay calm by missing a glimmering battle in front of him twice or three times while other allies are fighting for it. If you had the discipline of a ghost, or if you understood tactics to the end of a soldier, this operation would have failed."
Current time, 22 August, 16: 00. I'm giving Mr. Feene an overview of the operation. Try to make it easier for her to understand the military theory.... kind of reminds me of my cadet school days.
"But isn't it a few problems that took four days?
"... No, it may indeed happen when you take into account the Probdiv siege. But by being able to spend three days replenishing it, the soldier's morale and quantity succeeded in bringing it back a lot. And then... Brigadier General Matheus."
"What? Is that weird - the Brigadier General?
Hey, what did I just try to say?
"Well, do you say that the general under you is mostly a man, and a unique morale recovery speech for Brigadier General who hands on the Yako Cod woman"
"Ha..."
Mr. Fine is unaware of the speech because he was not on the spot. I don't have to know. That is what would have been raised to blood festivals online and on television in modern Japan if women had been made to listen.
"Look, you guys! If you put up a martial arts medal here, you're hot! And if we help Admiral Klein in Probdiv, it's like the end of my life I'm already in trouble with a woman! And you virgins * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
I hope you don't ask for more information. In the meantime, I remember when speeches of the kind of virginity began, the subordinate general pulled some dongs and the vast majority burst into laughter.
I was impressed with how perverts can be used for this sort of thing, but there's something more impressive about it.
"This time, this trap succeeded in five places, but I thought if it succeeded in three places, it would be your word."
"... what do you mean?
This operation, I was setting the same trap in about the same time zone in five places. I thought that if this slipped a little, the news of one defeat would be known to each enemy squadron to retreat.
Well, still, I'm glad that's the case this time. If we succeed in even one of the five locations, we'll have lost 20% of our outgoing troops. I thought so, that if I were normal, I would withdraw here than I would need to make an impossible attack in the enemy.
But the reality was different. This result was unexpected.
Success in multiple places, setting the same trap at the same time and almost simultaneously, requires extraordinary sophistication and collaboration.
Even I can't do such elaborate work. What I did that to show you is that pervert who is now dictating female supply officers in the Ostmarc army in the tent of the office.
It was done by that pervert who was loosening things up instead of winning and tightening his helmet.
"He has no tactical originality, and his personality as an army officer sucks. But maybe you're talented when it comes to things like this."
His boss and my original assignee, General Klein, may have spotted that...
"... By the way, Major, may I ask you one question?
That's what she heard while holding her eyeballs as she looked so ungrateful that she still seemed to sigh.
"Oh, yes? Go ahead?"
"I don't see Major Marinovska... where is she now?
Oh, you mean that. That would be easy.
"This operation is still going on."
