Chapter 11. Exploration (1)

Chapter. 11

Exploration

Dungeon.

A place where you can get treasure if you're full of monsters and lucky. A hunter is a word as familiar as a system.

Why is the dungeon here? ’

Ferda's eyes narrow.

A place I've never seen in a novel. His description of this place, a closed underground tunnel, only said Season 5's actual arcade was a refuge.

But a dungeon?

It's natural to question it.

"Ferda?"

At that moment, a distant reality called out to him.

"Is there a problem? Should I go that way?"

"It's okay. We're leaving now."

Ferda regains her composure.

After a short while, you return to your original location, leaving the dungeon's entrance behind. Then I glanced as if I was curious about the reality.

"What was inside?"

Ferda ponders that question for a moment.

Should we tell them the truth? However, the concern was not long.

"I don't know. It was dark, so I couldn't see."

If you say it like it is, you might be curious. You may want to go in with them.

"I'm sure it was nothing."

Dungeons in there are an unknown realm.

I don't know the difficulty, type of monster, or grade.

Literally no information.

‘You can't go into a place like that with practice. ’

No matter how much you explore, there are many dangers.

There may be unexpected dangers.

So let's bury this place.

Only to real people, of course.

A new dungeon has been discovered.

Former hunters are one thing, but it's natural for interest to rise. Ferda's eyes sparkle like a star.

"I'm getting hungry. Shall we go back?"

"Yes!"

I smiled brightly.

Probably excited to eat duck meat. Ferda's smiling face shifts with her.

Then I turned my head and remembered where the dungeon was.

‘Wait a little longer. ’

Tonight, I'll come back for you.

* * *

After dinner.

Ferda rises from her seat.

"Then rest well, and I'll see you tomorrow."

Dalkak

The footsteps are getting away.

After a while, the realm sat by the window. Then he passed through the front door of the first floor and gazed quietly at Ferda heading to the lodge.

Only after his appearance was completely gone did the reality show.

"But you know what?"

His eyes stare into the air.

There are ghosts. The hem, the stream, and the spikes.

"Will it be okay? It's in the sewers."

[Don't worry.]

It's scary to end the muttering mixed with concern.

The three spirits gathered their mouths and gave the same answer.

Then he tilted his head.

"But you said you smelled dangerous. There's something dark and powerful inside."

When the wall of the underground waterway collapsed, the three ghosts were noticeably shaken. With the strong presence in it.

So in reality, he looked a little anxious. I have to worry about something dangerous underneath my feet.

[Though he has a high standing.]

[It's nothing compared to a king.]

[So rest assured.]

But the ghosts shake their heads. It was a different attitude from when I was in the underground waterway.

I felt somewhat reassured by the confident answer, but I did not feel anxious.

"Then why do I feel like this? · · · · · · · · ·."

The real eyes of the moonlight flutter thinly.

* * *

That night.

Ferda finds a subterranean passage alone. I was on my way to the pre-prepared lantern to drive the darkness into the underground waterway.

"Found it."

Halfway down the wall.

When I found my destination, I smiled. When he reaches the entrance of the dungeon, he reaches out as if it were during the day.

If there was one other thing, it was that this time it had enough magical power in its hands.

Then, instead of pain, a system message came to mind.

[Reminder]

* Hidden Dungeons [??????].

* Would you like to enter the dungeon?

[YES]/[NO]

I didn't have to worry.

Pressing YES, his body disappears as if it were being sucked into a dungeon.

Ferda opens her eyes, feeling a familiar dizziness.

"Here · · · · · · · · · · · ·."

The first thing that greeted him was a dense forest.

There were so many huge trees that they could not be counted, and the dense bush was as long as it touched the chest through the thighs.

It seems like a better name for the jungle.

Ferda mutters.

"The Forest Cave."

Dungeons don't all look like caves. Some dungeons live and move like the belly of a giant creature, and some are in the sky with little foothold.

And this kind of dense forest area, the Earth's Hunters called the Forest Cave.

"Then it's more than a Class B dungeon."

Dungeons are graded according to their type.

In the case of Forest Cave, there was a minimum class B to a maximum class S.

In other words, this could be a Class S dungeon if unlucky.

No wonder Ferda's eyebrows are narrowed.

"· · · · · · · Off."

It's a little overwhelming for the current body, if not before. After hesitating for a moment, he came to a conclusion.

"Let's explore and think about it."

Monsters give us a rough estimate.

If it looks dangerous, let's go back.

With that in mind, Ferda moved her feet.

Then another system message appeared.

[NOTE]: You have entered a dungeon.

* The further you explore, the higher your analysis rate will be.

* Current analysis rate: [1/100]

It was familiar.

A message that any Hunter who has ever entered a dungeon can see.

Ferda swung her hand and destroyed the message. Then he lowered his posture as much as he could, and carefully went forward.

Scraper

I didn't forget to cut down the bush to the ankle. It was obvious that you could get lost if you didn't leave a mark like this.

How long do you think it's been like that?

Ferda stops walking for a day.

Chop, chop!

A swamp appears between the stars.

A typical swamp with a deep green glow. I carefully glanced at the magic. Seeing no other message, it doesn't seem to be a poisonous swamp.

"But at this rate." ’

It's hard to keep moving forward. You have no idea how deep the swamp is.

At that moment, you hear a strange sound not far away.

"Glug! Glug!"

It was the cries of a toad.

I looked up and there was a real toad.

Although he was two meters tall, walking on two legs, holding a sharp skewer or something.

Ferda gleams in both eyes.

Todman.

This one is common in Earth's Dungeons.

It's usually a herd of four or five. Somehow, there was only one thing in front of me.

Felt strange, Ferda looks around with fierce eyes.

But I didn't feel much of a move.

‘What should I do? ’

By the looks of it, it looks like it's moving somewhere. Then we can wait and see. But there was some benefit to killing him.

‘The analysis of the dungeon is increasing. ’

Once the analysis rate reaches 100 percent, you will know the name of the dungeon, its grade, the type of monster, the presence or absence of the boss monster, and much more.

You can also get some information even if you don't reach 100%, so it would be better to catch monsters or explore the terrain to increase your analysis rate.

After some thought, Ferda picks up a stone nearby.

‘I have to catch it.'

As soon as I made my decision, my body moved.

Phew! Phew!

The boulder strikes Todman on the head precisely.

"Cough?!"

Toddman with a bizarre scream.

It was only a stone. Not enough to inflict a fatal wound.

Instead, I succeeded in catching his attention.

"Curra! Curra!"

His head was all red. You must be furious.

The reason for attracting attention is simple, giving up the advantage of surprise. I didn't want to fight in that raggedy swamp.

"Currrrrrrrr!"

Todman sprints in a splash and looks like he's seen a similar boar.

Perda, who was watching this, pulled the dagger out of her inventory. And you're five steps away from Todman!

Pa 'at

I hurled out of the ground quickly. The Dagger contains a lot of Mana as you look at Todman's embarrassed eyes.

And...

Qajik!

Todman has a dagger in his forehead.

Along with a terrifying sound, Todman calls to his body and falls back. Seeing the thick tongue coming out, it seemed to be instantaneous.

But Ferda didn't let go. There could have been an enemy he didn't know about. However, there was still no way to feel.

"Phew."

With a short sigh, Ferda finishes her hunt.

Then I remembered a system message. That means the analysis of the dungeon has gone up. Obviously.

When I tried to wag my hand with my annoying face,

Stop

Suddenly, my behavior stopped.

"This is · · · · · · · · ·."

Looking closely, it was not the analysis rate.

Ferda looks at the message with her eyes narrowed.

[Reminder]

* Monsters subordinated to the dungeon have been defeated.

* An Yggdrasil system interferes with the dungeon.

* Current interference: 0.1%.. 0.2%.. 0.3%..

"Interference?"

I've never seen that word before.

As I look at it again, this interference seems to continue to rise.

The numbers are rising faster and faster.

Ferda watches this sudden change.

Not long after that.

The interference reached 100 percent. And the system message that appears.

[Reminder]

* Extra skills of [Yggdrasil System] are freed.

* Extra Skill: [Equivalent Exchange]

* Effect: The remains of monsters killed by the system owner are automatically converted into random items of equal value, proportional to the value of each object. Note, however, that interference is only valid in ‘dungeons’ where it reaches 100%.

* Note: The interference rate will automatically increase only in Dungeons of Class S or lower.

"· · · · · · · · What?"

Halfway through Ferda's mouth.

The Yggdrasil system had extra skills? I've never heard of anything like this. When the embarrassed look made a powerful face.

[Reminder]

* We've identified Todman's body.

* Extra Skill ‘Equivalent Exchange’ is triggered.

with system messages.

Todman's corpse shines white.

A few moments later, instead of Todman's corpse, there is an unseen potion and a stone.

"· · · · · ·!"

Ferda's eyes widen.

I've seen similar sights.

The main stage of the Hunters. It was Earth's Dungeon.

If you hunt monsters in Earth's Dungeons, materials such as equipment, supplies, and cobblestones have been dropped.

If there is a difference, then all Hunters took this change for granted, and now only Ferda benefits from it.

"Lesser Healing Potion, Lesser Horseshoe · · · · · · ·."

Items that are hard to come by naturally from Todman.

Ferda mutters with a vain laugh.

"Haha, this is kind of amazing."

An awesome skill.

No wonder one healing potion is worth so much more than a useless toad corpse. even though the interference rate has reached 100 percent. ’even though it has a condition.

"I originally tried to move as discreetly as possible."

Today was all about exploring.

But I changed my mind a little.

Kwaak

Defeat monsters to drop items.

What hunter wouldn't be thrilled about this?

Ferda grips the dagger tightly, feeling a surge of enthusiasm.
