Count Scribe's Tutor

Chapter 56. Into the Desert (4)

It wasn't really a battle.

It was because the servants of the realm who arrived first were torn apart by the Akasha horde. Afterwards, he looked at the stunned Shantam and the warriors and asked.

“Is this all you've got? ”

The answer never came back. Probably because he didn't understand the language of the kingdom. The shrug shrugs and turns to Tervand. for interpretation.

But then.

“Look out! It's not over yet! ”

A fluent royal language appeared among the warriors.

It was the young man with the gray curly hair, Shantam. He yells with an urgent face pointing behind his back.

“They can be broken apart and revived. Look!"

A shock gleams into Ferda's eyes as she continues screaming.

How do you know? His eyes speak.

The reality, on the other hand, turned in a reflective manner. Later, I saw an unbelievable sight. Apparently, the group of Akashas who were about to be torn to shreds will wake up staggering.

“They're tougher than I thought. ”

He frowned.

But I wasn't embarrassed. I saw it in a book once. Some botanical monsters say they sometimes come back like that.

“Shadow chain. ”

In the blink of an eye, the clever reality ties the shadows of the Akashas together. Then, as you did with the Desert Monsters, you blew up the writhing Akasha.

Phew!

Scattered debris with intense thunder.

It turned to powder.

This should be enough. In fact, my hands were tucked and turned. It was to listen to Shantam, who could speak the imperial language. However, Shantam's face was still frozen.

“· · · · · · Don't be careless. He will rise again. ”

“What?"

How do you make it out of powder?

In reality, he looked at Shantam with disbelieving eyes. However, an unpleasant sound is heard from the wreckage of the Akashas.

Rectangle

The sound of eating sand.

After a while, the powder clumps together and suddenly pops up. Like a wooden doll made of sawdust. Shantam was right. They didn't die even when they were turned to dust.

“Phew, I'm sick of this. How long are you going to live? ”

The brow frowns.

Then let's make sure there's not even any powder left this time. Thinking about it, Shantham handed me something while trying to do magic.

“Use this. ”

A stone engraved with a flame symbol.

It was the same thing I gave to the warriors when I was surrounded by the Akasha horde. Shantam spoke with a confident face.

“Then we can definitely kill him. ”

“What is this? How do you use it? ”

In reality, however, you don't know what a stone is.

It seemed to me that there was some magic engraved on it, but it was because it was quite unfamiliar. Then Ferda came up to me one day and said,

“I'll tell you what. ”

“Yes? Does Ferda know what this is? ”

Yeah, well, it's been coming up a lot in the original, but you never know.

Ferda gave a rough excuse for being a mercenary in the past, and immediately started explaining.

“This one is called the Rune of Flame. These are made by shamans from the Desert Tribe. They're used mostly when they have a fire to start. ”

“Aha! You're a flint, aren't you? ”

“Well, sort of. Instead, it burns faster than flint. ”

He covers his hands as he looks at Akasha as he approaches.

“First, squeeze it tightly and let your magic flow a little. Just a little bit.”

Take what you're told.

The rune of flame glows red instantly as a weak magical force enters. That wasn't all. In reality, he looked at Ferda to see if she had felt any change.

“Huh? It's getting hotter. ”

“Then we throw it at him. ”

He pointed to Akasha, who had come so far.

Then he nods and throws a flaming rune straight at Akasha.

Heave-ho!

The rune of flame hits Akasha in the chest and falls to the ground.

At that moment, a red flame rises from the rune.

Bloop!

The flame consumes Akasha's body in an instant. As he approaches, Akasha stops and starts screaming strangely.

[!]

A scream you can't understand.

Akasha's body collapses. After a while, Akasha's ashes do not rise again. The reality of seeing this opened my eyes wide.

“Oh, the fire was a weakness! If so · · · · · · · ·. ”

You head for the rest of the Akasha horde. He once again ties them together in a chain of shadows, and honors new dark magic.

“Dark Flame. ”

Intermediate dark magic that burns dark dimensional magic to create a dark flame. Born from the realm's hands, the Sacred Flame soon caught on to the Akkasha horde. Then, as the dry firewood burned, a sudden flame arose.

Glug glug!

Powerful like a rune of flame. The acacians have turned to ashes without even screaming.

“I would have done this from the start. I didn't have the strength to do that. ”

The crowd of Akashas is in a daze of laughter.

But then, there was a negative reaction.

“If I had, I'd have lost my magic. ”

“What?"

“No fire works unless you peel off a bark-like skin. Even if it is a flame created by magic. If you put oil in it, it only burns the cover slightly. ”

Shantam shakes his head and replies calmly.

A dark duvet was formed in Ferda's eyes when she saw him.

"What the hell is he doing? ’

He is fluent in royal languages as well as has a scientific knowledge of the various characteristics of disaster fragments. Everything in great detail. Then Ferda turns to talk to him.

But I was a step faster than that.

“You know him well? Who taught you that? ”

“No one told me. The results of the inference from the investigation. ”

Shantam replies with a subtle tone.

He then bowed his head to the great triumph.

“Thank you for saving me. I am Shantam of the Termites. ”

Shantam's self-introduction is terrifying.

Ferda's eyes widen. When I heard the name Shantam, I remembered something.

· · · · · · · A bloody notebook found in a village that was slaughtered.

I tried to throw it away because it looked like a diary, but I felt an unknown attraction and looked carefully. As expected, the notebook was just a common diary, but it was never as common as the contents.

Because what the journal said was about pieces of catastrophe. There was no need to verify. Most of it was accurate, and the diary also contained information that we did not know.

But some of the records were unrecognizable due to the blood spatter. So we prayed. Hopefully, Shantam, who is thought to be the owner of the diary, is still alive. So we can get more information.

I eagerly hoped and hoped again.

The second episode of the original. The first episode that faced the second disaster, the episode that gathered the most information about the disaster.

The name Shantam was clearly mentioned there. Since then, the second author has often mentioned the word ‘Shantam's diary.'

When I guessed with my teeth. Shantam, who wrote the diary with the man in front of him, was likely the same person.

‘I can't believe I'm meeting Shantam here. ’

No one has ever met Shantham in person in the original. Neither has the author of the second book. Then Ferda grins.

‘Maybe he knows information I don't know. ’

Along with a history of blood that I didn't recognize.

If you do well, you can also get information that is not recorded in the diary. Ferda glances at Shantam with a sparkling eye.

Meanwhile, in the introduction of Shantam, he smiled and replied.

“I'm a silken arcade. I come from beyond the desert. ”

At the end of the introduction, Shantam frowned.

After a while, Shantam asked with a face.

“An arcade? An arcade Earl?! ”

“Yes, it is. ”

Silk head nodded pleasantly.

Then Shantam's face darkened. He quickly circles around and suddenly lowers his voice.

“It's a good thing I'm the only one who speaks the language. In the future, it would be best not to mention the house of Acdutra in the desert. ”

“Why?”

“You don't know? The blood of an arcade Earl? ”

A strange adversary appears from Shantam's voice.

As I tilted my head, I suddenly realized the look on my face. It just reminded me of the long war between the Archdut family and the Barbarians in the desert.

“Thank you for saving my life. But frankly, I don't want to talk to you. For us, the demons of the arcade are worse than monsters. ”

Shantam turns his head.

I understand that. The war between Erl Archdut and the Desert Tribe has been a nightmare for centuries.

I had a sudden attitude change that made me embarrassed.

“If that's the case, so are you. ”

Ferda, who was silent, steps out.

He gazed at the Shantam.

“Hundreds of years ago, I came across the border and I went to the White Paper. ”

“But that's in the past. To take it out now. ”

“So if our relationship with you is in the past, does that mean there's nothing wrong with having a conversation? ”

Shantam frowns at the sudden words.

“What does that mean? ”

“Let's hear more from this guy. ”

Ferda picks up a Korut prowling nearby. When I explained to him the confusing look on his face, I nodded.

“Got it. I'll take care of it. ”

Korut approaches Shantam with a confident face.

Then Shantam asked with an unspoken voice.

“Why do you, of the desert tribe, share the blood of the arcade? ”

But Shantam's words do not carry on to the end.

The Desert Tribe warrior beside Korut was in great pain.

“Foolish man! ”

“Kneel down now! Do you know who this is? ”

It was the language of the desert, but I could understand what it was saying.

Turns out Tervand was translating for me without a single torch. Meanwhile, in a sudden burst of pain, Shantam reacts with a blunt tone.

“How do I know that? Huff!”

But then, the rabbit sweat that came along suddenly crushed Shantam's head. The Shantam, which was pressed down by a strong force, falls flat on the ground. As I was about to make my way to the castle, Shantam's head was cooled by a calm voice.

“Stay down, Shantam. ”

“What? Why all of a sudden? ”

“Those men are the chief's guards. ”

“· · · · · · · · What? ”

The voice of the rattling rabbit sweat.

Shantam's eyes quickly turned startled.

“Well, that guy... ”

He must have finally realized Korut's identity. The Shantam, who was about to get up from his seat, lay flat on the ground. As the warriors who received both help fell down, the commander's guard spoke.

“This is Hkorut, the heir to the great chief. ”

“The leader of the herd quickly stepped forward. ”

Is it because the prediction was right? Shantam trembles.

Meanwhile, the summoned rabbit sweat carefully stood up on its feet. Then he kneels before Korut and speaks.

“I meet the descendants of the great blood, the warrior of the termite clan, Hirapsweat. ”

Korut nods once for the polite greeting of the rhubarb.

Then he said in a solemn voice.

“Warrior Hirapsweat. I command you.”

“Yes, name anything. ”

It was a sudden order, but no one turned back.

Even some of the warriors were expressing their emotions. That's how great Korut is. By the time I thought about it, unexpected words came out of Korut's mouth.

“This man, Silvan Archdut, is my only friend. ”

“ · · · · · ·! ”

The faces of the warriors, including the rabbit sweat, glow in horror.

Ferda, on the other hand, looks a little confused. It was worth it. He was going to keep the entire desert tribe, including Korut, in line. But I'm embarrassed to call you a friend all the time.

‘I'll have to tell you again later. ’

Who owns and serves.

Knowing Ferda's thoughts, Korut once again speaks solemnly.

“So treat me as you would me from this moment on. I will never forgive you if you have a problem with my friend's blood, identity, or race. ”

“Yes, I will take orders. ”

The rhubarb sweat lowers its head, then bows to the thread as well.

Korut smiles, looking back at Ferda. It's like, "Did I do good? ’I feel like a cold smile.

After Korut's command, Shantam hesitates. Soon after, Shantam came to the front of the room, kneeling on the ground and bowing his head.

“Forgive my rudeness. Shantam of the termite clan meets a friend of the great bloodline. ”

I guess Korut's a great guy. I can't believe I just made that guy so stubborn he can't mix words with the blood of an arcade.

“Can I ask you a few questions? ”

“You can ask as many questions as you want. ”

Shantam politely replied, followed by a practical question.

“I want to hear how he and Akasha met. ”

“Yes · · · · · · · · when we left town for a mission. ”

Shantam briefly explained what had happened.

I found a group of Akashas while I was on a mission, and from the day I was surrounded to the day they broke in.

“· · · · · · Eun Gong was able to be saved thanks to your help. Once again, thank you very much. ”

After finishing all the stories, Shantam once again tightens his head.

In fact, he nods and turns to Ferda. Let me ask you something. Of course there is a question. Ferda stepped forward past the realm and decided to start with a test.

“Shantam. Do you usually keep a diary? ”

“Yes? Why is that? ”

“Just answer the question. ”

Shantam narrows his glabella slightly on a pressing urge.

A moment later, Shantam sighs and gives an honest answer.

“Not until the diary, but I'm personally documenting something. ”

“What's the record? ”

“It's about the habits and abilities of monsters. It's not usually used well, but I usually record new monsters when they appear. And recently, we've been documenting information about Akasha. ”

Along with the answer of Shantam.

A handful of doubts that remained until the end were burned away.

Shantam was the owner of the diary mentioned in the original article. Ferda looks so sure.

“I have a favor to ask you. ”

“Please? ”

Shantam asked with a suspicious face.

Ferda nods.

“We need you, Shantam. ”

“· · · · · · · Yes? ”

Suddenly, Shantam stood still.

Faced with this, Ferda confidently spoke.

“Follow us. ”

Shantam has analyzed everything about the debris of the disaster without anyone's help. I'm sure it will be a big help if I keep it with me. Maybe it's the key to stopping the second disaster.

Ferda smiles, staring at Shantam with a blank expression.
