Dark Magician as a Hero

Monster House

Leave Olivia and Alicia to Satellite and sneak out of the fort with Trabant. Passing through the enclosure of the Modified Wizards who barked just as tirelessly as when they invaded, the smoke that was seen from the fort rose towards them.

"Chris, I'm just barking around right now, but it's hard to protect both of you, even if you swim and break into the fort and you're a female augur who won't die even if you kill her.

"Yeah, honestly, I think I can jump over that kind of water hole, but maybe I can't say I didn't do it. I expect, but with the effect of the embedded magic tools, there are limits to the ability to defy or harm certain humans."

That's why I think Alicia wanted to raise her roots and surrender by surrounding her and intimidating her around the clock. Alicia is also a wizard, so she is prepared to die and resist, but since she didn't understand the effect of the magic tools embedded by another wizard, she can't be optimistic that she won't be attacked.

Basically magic tools are activated by the will of the user and certain movements, but some are activated automatically by sucking up magic from the user. As far as I can see, most of them are embedded in the latter, but there are plenty of things like touching the tip of the nose, tasting it, or triggering it with actions that are not attacks.

The total amount of magic of monsters is higher than that of humans, let alone modified monsters built on the premise of embedding magical tools, it is no wonder they have several times the magic of ordinary wizards.

Since it's a wolf-specific collaboration, it's probably a suicide attempt to challenge a group on its own.

"It's hard to guess, so I'll immediately disable the commanders who are manipulating the Beasts. Let's free the occupied town after we've squeezed the information."

"Oh! It's like a heroic verse. This old bone will do everything in its power to help!

Motivated and overwhelmed, the loaned clothes scream. Please don't break my clothes.

A short walk from the fort saw a large house in relatively good condition. The giant wolves are wandering around, so at least there will be a commander.

"Let's go. I'm going to be quick, but that giant won't let me in."

After confirming that recognition inhibition is working properly, get over the wall. I feel like I'm more of a thief or an assassin than a brave man, but... telling myself it's to minimize the damage, Mr. Trabant stopped me when I tried to get into the building.

"Please wait. As far as I can tell, there are many Commanders with the Tamer Mastery. If he is in the opponent's position, he will lurk a small monster in a place with many blind spots. I have heard that they used to have gatekeepers in some town in the region, such as a worm that screams at the death of a crowd mate and drives the outsiders away."

Another spider that glows and intimidates when the nest is torn. A mouse that secretes poison from its spiny hair that is sharper than a needle and waits for it to lurk in the grass and step on its prey.

Snakes that perceive their surroundings in a completely different sensation from the five senses, carnivorous butterflies that attract prey by spraying poison scales that emit a large amount of aroma in the flock, and so on. Let me tell you about a monster who seems to live in this region and doesn't seem to have any sense of recognition inhibition.

"I've read about it in the literature, but do you think that's enough?

"Just in case. If Tamer was the commander, he would have placed them indoors and in the bushes of the garden."

Hmm, all I could think about was sneaking in, but if the Empires knew we'd escape, they'd consolidate our defenses.

If he were the man, he would attack without thinking, but it would be awkward to be attacked by Olivia and Alicia, who would still be asleep. In other words, we need to disable it so that we can't get in touch without letting everyone escape.

"The smoke is still rising... if you think about it, you won't cook in a kitchen that's been left alone for 50 years, and you want to eat outside in a mood."

"Looks like you're coming up from behind the mansion. Probably, they're burning the fire outdoors."

I don't know what's inside the mansion, so once I get out of the wall, I go around the back of the smoke cooker and get over the wall.

Did it prioritize better vision? Perhaps the monster ordered it, a large backyard of grass mown and organized.

There was a young woman... who was cooking with a little bit of young girls, about five of whom were in danger within sight. There is a large remodeled beast sitting nearby, but he doesn't look scared.

There are other chairs and tables for more than five people, and the monsters are still going to eat in the garden, not in the abandoned house.

"Are you a working girl? Looks like you're not under a curse."

"You don't look scared of the Modified Beast, or the inhabitants of the occupied town? Or did you bring a family member in for miscellaneous purposes?"

"If you're a girl like that in a typical household, you can help with housework, but you're certainly not used to being a child of a wealthy household."

"I don't think I'm a monster, so I'll let you sleep with magic, but if the Modified Monster isn't protecting you, it's dangerous. Now what do we do... Mr. Trabant, hold your breath!

As she watched the girls, she was worried about how to move, and suddenly a sweet smell drifted out of the wall, holding her breath aggressively.

"Gu... come on, let's get out of here!

Once you have confirmed that there is no sweet scent away from the Mansion, I will apply detoxification technique to Mr. Trabant, who is coughing up and cannot breathe properly. I have a little pain in the back of my nose, so I use antidote technique on myself.

"Wow, if you look away, a swarm of [Sweet Death] are patrolling the wall. I'm sorry. I didn't expect you to miss it, even though you were on the lookout."

"It would have been dangerous if Mr. Trabant hadn't told me that it was a butterfly that was miserable in the landscape. I think there's a lot of lurking in the backyard for this."

A monster who's used to fighting is a real pain in the ass. Because not only does it simply kill powerful monsters, but by using weak monsters effectively on its own, the combat power swells up like multiplication rather than addition.

"How about Chris disabling the Commander while he's in possession of his enemies?

"No, Trabant is in danger. And we want to move so that they don't know we exist."

The modified beast we encountered shortly after they were sent in is probably a wild organism out of control with the town's oppressed rattlesnake, so they won't know about us. But defeating a monster in full control will definitely reveal our existence.

"So, if the enemy commanders are corrupted by the curse of obedience, would they hurry before sending information betting that they would not be hostile if they were de-cursed?"

"Well, when the monsters show up in the backyard, we'll wait and see when they're ready to disable them."
