Somewhere in the territory of the witches, a dark castle sat above a pillar of rock surrounding by a dark abyss.

Standing across this were two people, a woman and a man, a bridge fell from a across the abyss connecting the two sides.

The couple walked across the bridge, two women clad in dark robes and veils waited for them in front of the castle gates.

" We greeeeet you olds of the Void, our masters your arriiiival." The two women spoke as one.

Their voices came out like the whispers of a thousand souls. They led the couple inside the dark castle.

" Greetings council of witches." The woman greeted the other women sitting on thrones above them.

One of those women floated towards the two, " I’ve been waiting for you, come." She led them deeper into the castle.

" It’s been a while since I last saw the two of you." The witch took of the dark cloak she was wearing.

Her voice changed from the raspy old voice to that of a woman in her 30’s, a beautiful face was revealed beneath the hood.

Dark hair that twinkled with starlight cascaded down her back and her eyes looked like galaxies.

They were both beautiful and terrifying, she looked at the couple with a soft smile, " So tell me, what brought the two of you out?"

The man whose name was Vadal Voidlink took a sip of his tea, " We all know you already know why we’re out Anyx."

The witch Anyx giggled, " I don’t know everything you know, there are things that go past my eyes but you’re right, I know why you’re out."

" So, tell us who was daring enough to change fate and cut the strings of karma and what their end goal is." Venus demanded.

" Calm yourself sister, we’re are guest here, let not be rude." Vadal tried to calm down his irritated sister.

Anyx giggled, " I do not mind, I suppose she’s still holding a grudge for what happened back then."

Venus’s face changed as soon as she heard that but she clicked her tongue and didn’t argue.

Anyx placed down her cup of tea and the playfulness on her face disappeared. " There aren’t that many foolish enough to do that so you both know who did it.

As for their end goal, what else could it have been for but to protect their own children. Karma is a dangerous thing for those who’ve lived long lives.

It’s like fingerprints left in the world itself and those who know how to touch them, can easily use those prints to track you, even harm you."

Anyx moved her hand through the air as if twirling with invisible strings with her fingers, the stars in her eyes glowed bright for a moment.

The two Voidlink Demigods knew Anyx can touch upon fate and karma, she was the leader of the divination covenant after all.

Throughout the years, she has went by many names and took many forms, only few knew her true name.

She continued, " Isn’t it the reason why we lot stay locked up in our houses not daring to interact much with the world.

The two of you are an example, most members of your clan have never even seen you let alone interact with you.

I’m not innocent of that myself, even my own biological children have not seen me for a few hundred years now.

Speaking of which, I really do need to see those brats sometime soon before..." She got distracted.

" Sorry, I got lost in my thoughts there, as I was explaining, they severed their karma to their own children.

They who had lived for so long had many strings binding them but children are different.

Their souls are not strong enough to hold much karma, their fates are yet to be set and can be changed at will.

They were the greatest threats to their children and as such severed their karma, a daring move of you ask me.

But that isn’t all, the Axiom had marked that little girl’s soul so she didn’t just sever her karma but split her own soul into nine parts and severed her own power, truly foolish."

Venus frowned, " That isn’t all though is it, after all severing their karma to their children shouldn’t have changed our memories."

Anyx looked at her like she was an ignorant buffoon which angered Venus so much space started shifting around her.

" Enough you two, we didn’t come here for your games, continue Anyx." Vadal stepped in and stopped the fight before it started.

Venus pouted which made Anyx giggle, " This space rat is right, severing karma alone is not enough to affect people at our level.

However have you forgotten they changed fates as well?" Her question just made them more confused.

She sighed, " Fate and time are greatly intertwined, it’s a river that constantly flows in one direction or at least that’s what it supposed to be."

" What do you mean by that? Are you saying somebody changed the past?" Vadal asked, his voice losing its calmness.

His sister was just as shaken, even for them, the power to time travel was a legendary ability possessed by only certain Gods.

There was never a situation of a demigod being able to do that, Anyx knew that as well and explained.

" Let me ask you, twelve thousand years ago, who stopped the apocalypse?" That question hung in the air.

They thought back to it and realised, they had no idea, they thought Morgana had stopped It herself once she realised what she had done.

Then they remembered Morgana’s eyes when she looked at them, she was prepared and fully intended to wipe the world with her.

So, who stopped it? They wondered if Morgana was really the one to stop the apocalypse.

" Since twelve thousand years ago, whenever I use divination, I see multiple events at once, this wouldn’t be strange if I was glimpsing into the future.

After all, the future is yet to be determined but the thing is, I was looking into the past."

Venus and Vadal looked at each other, they didn’t know divination themselves but even they knew, that should be impossible.

After all, the past was set on stone and it was what it was, there was one and should only ever be one version of the past.

" Somebody has been messing with the river of time." They whispered at the same time, Anyx nodded.

Vadal looked at the two women with a dark expression. " Do you suppose, a true God might still exist?"
