Chapter 320: Princess of Atlantis
Annie went back home, her mind was occupied by everything that Meggie had just told her.
She still had a lot of questions but unfortunately even Meggie didn’t have the answers to those.
Especially when it pertained the Axiom,’ What’s really their purpose?’ Annie wondered.
Without Adrian’s teleportation, travel proved to be annoying, it took her a few days to get back.
A testament of how large this world of Alguard was, she was still on one continent and moving nearly at Mach 20 but it took her nearly 3 days to get back.
Of course, she could move faster than that but such speeds over a long distance would drain too much energy.
It was best used in battle as short bursts to save energy and end the battle quickly. When she got back.
She was informed by Suzie that Adrian had locked himself preparing to break through to level 8.
She decided not to disturb him, ’ I’ll tell him everything when he gets out.’ she went to do her own things.

Somewhere in the ocean a few thousand kilometres from the territory of the werewolves.
A group of nearly 40 could be seen swimming at blinding speeds yet they caused no waves in the water.
Behind them however, the sea churned and boiled and a cloud could be seen chasing after this group.
Upon closer look, this cloud was a wave of countless aquatic Gadra, some as massive as entire islands.
The people they were chasing had human upper bodies with fan shaped fin like ears that twinkled like crystals of different colours.
Their lower bodies were that of fish covered by different colours, the female were small and petite and beautiful beyond measure.
The males were much larger and had builds as if they were sculptured by gods but unfortunately their perfect forms were stained by blood.
This group was from a race known as the mermen, even in Alguard they were mostly a legend to many by now.
" Swim, swim as fast as you can, we’re almost there." A man shouted from behind urging the women in front of him.
Of the nearly 40 group, only 3 were women and the rest were men protecting them from the wave of Gadra.
One of the men turned and stabbed his trident at the Gadra wave, water churned and a beam of compressed water shot out.
It hit the leading Gadra barely breaking through its tough scales but that slowed it down for a moment.
Such a massive Gadra slowing down naturally slowed down the others behind it, some unfortunate enough couldn’t stop in time.
They found themselves below its tail and were casually slapped to death. The group of mermen swam even faster.
Another waved his hand causing a massive wave that pushed the women forward allowing them to swim even faster.
The women turned and looked at the men who were slowing down ready to confront the Gadra wave.
Their eyes turned red and misty from sadness but they couldn’t stop, not now. " My lady, go, we’ll protect you."
The other two women told the leading women, they were ready to go back and fight with the men.
She shook her head, " No, you come along, if you go back you’ll just stand in their way, we have our own task."
The leader disagreed and tried to drag the other two. They resisted, " My lady we can use our song, we can be of use." They argued.
The leader looked frustrated, " Our song will not work, not on them while they are like this.
I understand your frustration, I feel it too but if we want to help, then we’ll have to reach out destination.
The seer told us didn’t she, the only hope for our people stands before us but I’ll need your help."
Reluctantly the other two agreed and followed after her. Before long they reached the beach.
Looking behind them they no longer saw the Gadra wave, they assumed the men had taken care of it.
" Come on, we need to go." She called the others and they swam out of the water, the sandy beach was hot.
They were not used to such heat, nor were they used to sunlight, it made them very uncomfortable.
All three hummed a low song, the sea water around them moved like serpents wrapping around their bodies.
Suddenly their leader felt something rushing towards them, her hum grew louder and more piercing.
The tune changed and the sea surrounded them like a dome, something collided with the dome of water.
The water wobbled but it held, " This will not hold for long, did the Gadra find us?" She asked.
One of the other two women looked up, her eyes quivered with fear, " No, it’s..it’s a human." Her voice shook.
The others look up, their faces twisting with dread. " No, no it’s not a human, it’s a Fayera." Said the leader with a sigh.
" Do you suppose he’s the one we were sent to look for?" One of the two women asked.
" The seer said to look for a moon with fur of silver, follow the howl." The leader responded.
Before the other two could say anything else, they heard a loud howl coming from the one attacking them.
" It’s him, wait wait we’re not here to fight please!" The leader shouted drawing his attention.
He stopped, " Is that so, then why did you use you ability against me?" He asked.
They were all confused wondering when did they do that, then realised he was talking about the dome.
" I’m sorry, I felt your presence and panicked, we’ve been through a lot recently." She answered.
" Is that so, then open it up." The man demanded. All three mermaids looked at each other.
They could see the reservations in the eyes of the others. The leader sighed, " There’s no point keeping it up, it will break soon anyways." She sighed and cancelled the dome.
" Are you sure, he could be a threat your highness." The oldest of the three argued but the barrier was already down.
They saw a tall man standing before them, he looked down at them with cold questioning eyes.
" So, who are you and what do you want?" He asked.
" I am the princess of Atlantis, Atlear, the two behind me are Suren and Merdia, we are looking for somebody." Said Atlear.
" Is that so? Well then, can you tell me who you’re looking for?" The man asked.
" Well about that, we’re not sure, we were told to follow the howl and look for the moon in silver fur and you..."
Before Atlear could finish her sentence the air got colder, much colder, the sun disappeared.
They looked up and instead of the sun saw a gigantic silver moon so massive one might swear it was merely a few kilometres above them.
" Well congratulations princess of Atlantis, you’ve come to the right place." Said the man with a grin.
