Chapter 265: Mission complete
Adrian’s clash with Beelzebub was nothing short of a disaster. Heavy winds ravaged the land.
Their esper was so thick it changed the weather, hsd he not had the ability to activate two types of domains at the same time, he would’ve been doomed.
His wide type domain had to suppressive effect on Beelzebub and his warrior type domain barely managed to block her attacks.
Adrian raised his hand, the sky churned and the clouds turned silver, lighting up hundreds of kilometres like a falling moon.
A beam of lunar esper as thick as a 2 kilometres dropped from the sky as fast as lightning.
Beelzebub threw the black mouth into the sky, this was a copy of her sigil, it barely had a fraction of the real sigils power.
The mouth expanded and ate the beam of lunar esper, then it turned towards him and sucked.
A huge suction force drew him in, it felt as heavy as the gravity of a black hole. He tried teleporting away but failed.
It was as if space was locked around him, he flew towards the open mouth like a ragdoll. Adrian created two silver pillars.
The pillars stabbed firmly into the ground, he bound chains around them and stopped him from being sucked into the giant mouth.
It the chains started cracking and the pillars were being dragged off the ground. He gritted his teeth.
A giant ball of silver flames that glowed like a moon appeared between him and the giant mouth and exploded.
A dome if fire spread out engulfing everything on their path turning the entire city into a massive crater.
Adrian was flunged away by the force and collided with Annie’s telekinesis barrier cracking it.
He looked back and saw her standing defensively in front of the city denizens, it was obvious she had no intentions of helping him.
The wounds on his body started healing, ’ Should I summon the moon wheel?’ he wondered then shook his head.
’ Things aren’t that bad yet, besides, it’s better if I don’t reveal its abilities too often but I can summon one weapon.’
The moon wheel had six major weapons, summoning one should bt fine. He flew back to the city and faced Beelzebub.
She looked completely different from before, the kind smile of a pretty middle aged woman was gone.
A crown of six horns lined her head, 10 pitch black wings flapped behind her and her body resembled a mountain of flesh.
She had the head of a pitch black dragon when th razor sharp teeth and stood at 50 metres tall.
Her demonic esper spread across hundreds of kilometres corrupting every living creature in the vicinity.
Fortunately there were not many wild animals anymore as most died from hunger under the authority of Famine.
Those who has survived through that hardship were the strongest and most resilient.
And they had just mutated into Gadra from the influence of her demonic esper. Adrian cared not for any of that.
He raised his hand and a silver chain appeared on it. The chain was only a metre long and it wrapped around his right arm.
The chain looked a bit different from the ones he created before, it lacked the esper shine the others had.
Instead, it looked almost like real silver without the faint glow the other lunar esper weapons had.
As soon as the chains appeared, Adrian felt a boost in his esper and physical strength, this was the effect of the moon wheel.
Of course, since the wheel was not here, the effects were not as strong, even the chain was not as strong.
Then he moved, the world quaked and the winds howled. He swung the chain, it stretched and expanded.
The chain moved like a serpent of lightning and dodged the giant mouth completely ignoring its suction.
Beelzebub was caught off guard and the chain wrapped around her body. Spikes suddenly grew on the chain like thorns.
They stabbed into her body and sucked her esper. Her demonic esper was sucked through the chain into Adrian’s body.
Then converted into his lunar esper allowing her to regenerate his esper, mind you, due to Famine’s authority.
Regenerating esper was a slow process, which is why he chose the chain as his weapon of choice.
That wasn’t all, his left eye turned into a black spiral, Beelzebub’s dragon eyes squinted upon seeing it.
Adrian saw the patterns of her ability and he moved, his own esper followed the patterns on reverse.
He cancelled the suction ability of her giant mouth, then recreated it by mimicking the patterns.
A strong suction force started drawing her in towards what looked like a blank hole since Adrian didn’t have the black mouth.
However the effect were not as strong and he realized that so he tried something else instead.
He merged the suction ability with the chain and it started drawing her esper more rapidly than before.
Beelzebub roared and opened her mouth sucking in the ambient esper. Adrian tried to follow the patterns of that ability but failed.
’ This is related more to her authority than an ability, it would’ve been great if I can copy that as well.’
He thought to himself, ’ This is pointless, I can’t defeat her, she’s stronger than I am and nigh immortal.
I can’t drain her esper fast enough, at this rate, this fight would just be endless and we don’t have much time.’
He looked backed at the woman sitting on a throne of light playing with her nails like none of this mattered to her.
" Aren’t you going to help Cassiel?!" He shouted. Cassiel raised her head and looked at him then at Beelzebub.
" No, if she was at full strength maybe but this goes against my belief, I will not gang up on a weaker opponent.
I have already assisted you enough in this battle, I’ll deal with Beelzebub when you fail." She responded flatly.
He gritted his teeth, ’ This bitch.’ he cussed in his head then turned towards Beelzebub.
’ There’s no reason to defeat her, all I need is her heart blood.’ his chain stretched even further.
Its tip stabbed into her chest and went for her heart. As a demon, she was technically a spiritual lifeform.
He wouldn’t be able to her her heart blood using physical attack but his chain was made of pure lunar esper.
It could interact with even non corporeal entities. It stabbed straight into her metaphysical heart.
Beelzebub paused briefly, she realised what he was doing and struggled but it was too late.
His chain dragged out a drop of pure darkness that contained a strong suction force.
Beelzebub’s aura started waining after he took this out. She giggled in a deep and rough yet feminine voice.
" To think I would lose to a brat, how hilarious but then again I guess losing to you heart of destruction, I guess it’s an honour."
Adrian yanked back his chain alongside the drop of heart blood then teleported next to Annie.
" We need to go, those old bastard are in their way." She nodded and he opened a hole to Alguard.
