A stone clicked underfoot, and Saintess Lilith and Senna Drae moved two quick steps back.

Saintess Lilith’s heavy, soft breasts clicked against each other when she bumped into Shallot, who was walking behind them like a new recruit going on a tour. "Whoa!"

Cloth rustled and metal clinked as Senna Drae drew her jagged black dagger the moment she saw her reflection in the blade of a longsword slicing through the air. "Stand back!"

A wave of sharp air whipped past her as the blue-silver longsword’s blade swept by with a swish.

Tiny strands of her hair dripped down her head and landed softly on the ground. Knuckles popped as Senna Drae increased her grip on the hilt of her dagger, then moved it forward.

The blade of the jagged dagger passed through the shadow space at her front and thudded against wet skin. Shunk!

Sparks sprayed upward as the longsword rose and kicked the dagger from Senna’s hands.

Strands of silver hair frayed wildly when the person standing at the other side of the shadowy space and holding the longsword stepped out.

Faint gasps of terror escaped Senna’s mouth as her eyelids widened. "LYRA!"

Her heart pounded hard against her chest when she shifted her gaze from Lyra’s jaw-tightened face and focused on the thin, warm blood seeping out of Lyra’s right shoulder. "I’m..."

The blade of Senna’s black jagged dagger rolled in the air and caught both her and Lyra’s reflection before bouncing on the ground with double clicks. Crank! Cring!

Fabric tore as Senna ripped part of her right shoulder sleeve and moved sharp steps forward. "I’m sorry, Lyra..."

Lyra’s huge breasts heaved against her chest as Senna applied the torn cloth to the wound and pressed hard. "It’s nothing... Senna."

Strands of Lyra’s silver hair dribbled over her face as she shifted a slow, blinking gaze to Senna. Hot gasps of air escaped her mouth when Senna increased the pressure on the wound. "AHH!"

Saliva snaked down Senna’s throat as she gulped and focused more on the dripping blood that wouldn’t stop. ’If I had just waited, this wouldn’t have happened.’

Chills ran down Senna’s body as sweat began beading her face. Heavy breaths leaked out of her mouth with every rise and fall of her chest as she walked Lyra back to the bathing chamber.

A wave of surprised heat radiated through Saintess Lilith’s skin as she followed Senna Drae and Lyra with raised shoulders. ’We are sorry, Lyra.’

The hems of her white prayer gown swept across the wet floor as she crouched down and placed her palms on her lap. "Senna, let me help."

Bristling air blew out of Lyra’s mouth when she shifted a hazy gaze to Saintess Lilith. "You don’t need to do all this."

The longsword slipped out of Lyra’s fingers and clattered on the ground when her face drained of color. "This is just a simple cut; it will heal."

Senna’s heart pounded hard against her ribcage when she saw the rate at which Lyra’s skin was paling out. "Stop saying this is a simple cut. A simple cut from my dagger is far more dangerous than a deep cut made by your longsword, Lyra."

Saintess Lilith’s watery ass wobbled as she shifted a sharp glance at Senna. "How is that possible?"

Sweat dripped from Senna’s chin, hitting the floor like heavy rain drops. "They are full of deadly poison."

The sound of Shallot gulping filled the chamber as every face, eye, and gesture paused.

A faint bone screeching sound echoed as Saintess Lilith closed her fingers into a fist. "WHAT!"

Just as she opened them, a wave of golden light burst out of her and engulfed Lyra. "I reserved this for Master, but..."

Sharp air rushed out of her lungs as she looked at the engulfing glow around Lyra with sharp eyes. "But since we are one, I can’t just watch you die, Lyra."

A wild wail tore out of Lyra as the golden light from Saintess Lilith began seeping deep into her skin. "It hurts!"

The hair on Lyra’s skin rose on end as thick veins began surging up on her skin. "Can’t you reduce the intensity, Lilith?"

A grinding sound lingered in the bathing chamber as Lyra clenched her teeth and grabbed the flowing strands of Saintess Lilith’s hair, pulling them.

Cloth flapped loudly as the hems of Saintess Lilith’s white prayer gown began to transform into gold. "It’s the only way, and the only power level that can cure you right now."

A golden glow surged out of Saintess Lilith’s amber eyes when Lyra’s pale skin began to turn back to its natural color.

Shallot’s eyebrows widened and hardened when she saw black glows moving out of Lyra’s body and entering into Saintess Lilith’s. "Are we safe?"

Heels clicked on the stone as she moved two steps back and leaned against the chamber’s wall with a buzzing mind. ’That’s the same poison that was used against the Duke fifteen years ago and has been killing him slowly.’

Her hands trembled as she moved her gaze slowly toward Senna’s wobbling ass. ’Could it be she’s the one who did that to him?’

A wet slap echoed through the chamber as Shallot slammed her own palm on her face once. ’What am I even thinking... One of Master’s wives is dying, and I’m thinking about a mere Duke who has done nothing better than always drinking?’

Strands of silver hair flared upward as the last glow of Saintess Lilith’s healing energy and the remains of the poison purged out of Lyra’s body.

Her azure eyes glowed as she cracked her eyes open and stood up like a newborn. "I feel transformed."

The wound on her shoulder began merging in on itself when Lyra took in a sharp breath. "Thank you, Lilith."

Cloth rustled heavily as Saintess Lilith stood there with faint black lines crawling up her body. "Don..."

A loud skin-clapping sound echoed as her huge watery ass slammed against each other while she stood there swaying sideways. "I... I..."

Saintess Lilith’s body listed to the side as her posture slanted and fell straight to the ground. Pam!

"Saintess Lilith!" Senna Drae dashed forward and grabbed Saintess Lilith by the shoulder before her body could slam on the ground a second time. "Don’t die on us for saving one person."

A warm, shallow gasp escaped Saintess Lilith’s mouth as she smiled. "I won’t die... I just need a little sleep."

When Saintess Lilith’s heart rate began to dull out, a loud wail tore through Central City’s night sky, followed by countless owls with amber eyes...
