Chapter 1929 - 1522: Excavation 3
A moment later, the massive Prayer was gently placed on the ground by Xiao Lan.
Su Mo couldn’t wait to control Mad Eye Rhenhok to reach the entrance near the bow and forcefully break it open!
He led the way forward, with Sun Duoxiang and others following closely behind him.
Though the Prayer has been buried by the Sand Sea for countless years, as they walked through it, the internal equipment, aside from being covered in dust, was neither decayed nor rusty. Wiping away the surface dust, it remained incredibly pristine.
"Wow, this is simply unbelievable. How long has this ship been silent, and yet its interior remains so new."
Sun Duoxiang couldn’t help but exclaim.
"The craftsmanship is extraordinary."
Qian Chengxue was deeply moved as well.
Su Mo carefully examined the ship’s interior, his expression increasingly excited; the style inside the ship was very similar to the images he had previously watched. If nothing else, this was the same ship.
He communicated with Creator·Swallower.
"Do you remember where the stone tablet was at the end of the footage?"
"Based on the footage, it should be in the command room."
Creator·Swallower replied in a low voice.
"Let’s head to the command room."
Su Mo immediately said to everyone.
"Alright!"
Everyone responded together.
Soon after, Su Mo and the group piloted their mechas to violently destroy the partition door, arriving at the doorway of the Prayer’s command room.
At this moment, the command room’s door was tightly closed, and Sun Duoxiang attempted to open it with his mecha.
He couldn’t open it after quite a while.
"What’s wrong?"
Su Mo asked with confusion.
"Boss, I can’t open it, and I’m afraid to use too much force!"
Sun Duoxiang hastily explained.
"No need to be so cautious."
Su Mo replied helplessly.
"You said it, boss!"
Sun Duoxiang then operated Divine’s Apostle to forcefully pry the door open.
Crack!
A massive influx of sand rushed out from the command room.
"What’s happening? Why is there so much sand?"
Sun Duoxiang was bewildered.
Su Mo opened the cockpit and jumped down, then walked into the command room to observe; he saw that the room was almost entirely covered in sand. However, as some sand had spilled out, it revealed exposed metal ceiling tiles on the floor.
Su Mo looked up at the ceiling and then said.
"No wonder there’s sand everywhere, there’s a hole up there!"
It was then that Sun Duoxiang and the others opened their cockpits, jumped down, and walked in.
"Boss, let’s clear out some of the sand here."
"Alright, let’s do it!"
Su Mo nodded in agreement.
Sun Duoxiang and the others found some handy tools and began working hard; soon, most of the sand in the command room had been cleared out.
At this moment, Su Mo located the large metal ceiling tile pressing down on the Priest based on his memory of the footage. They could see a luxurious robe pressed beneath the ceiling tile, but no bones; seemingly, if nothing else, they had turned to dust.
Su Mo examined it roughly; if he guessed correctly, when the ship crashed, the crown worn by the Priest should have been thrown through the hole at the top of the bow.
He was now a bit worried that the Divine Creation Tablet might have been thrown out, which would make it much harder to find.
So, he immediately issued orders to everyone.
"It’s right here, everyone lift these metal tiles and search carefully! Look for a special stone tablet!"
"Understood!"
Qian Chengxue and the others responded in agreement.
Everyone fully activated their mechanical armor and Bio Armor, and together, they moved the crumbled metal ceiling tiles.
Su Mo wasn’t idle either, personally preparing to move the metal tile pressing down on the Priest’s remains.
Unexpectedly, he couldn’t move it despite using all his strength. He activated the power amplification of the VI generation Bio Armor and increased his strength. The entire metal tile bent instantly, yet it remained immovable.
"It’s stuck, destroy it with force!"
Creator·Swallower advised.
"Alright!"
Su Mo no longer held back, raised his hands, ejected sharp claws, and then, with brute force, tore the metal tile open like ripping paper.
It was then that Su Mo keenly noticed a massive black mechanical box pressed beneath the metal ceiling tile.
His eyes lit up instantly; he hurriedly picked up the black mechanical box but unfortunately, it was locked and couldn’t be opened.
"It’s locked."
Creator·Swallower promptly remarked.
"Destroy it!"
Without hesitation, Su Mo immediately activated the power of the Bio Armor, raised his right hand with protruding sharp claws, and violently tore open the mechanical box.
Then, a stone tablet with special metallic luster and a heavy feel of history came into view.
Su Mo’s heart suddenly skipped a beat, exclaiming excitedly.
"Got it!"
Upon hearing this, Qian Chengxue and others gathered around.
"Boss, is this the thing you were looking for? Is this thing valuable?"
Sun Duoxiang asked curiously.
"You know nothing; this thing can’t be measured in money."
Su Mo replied in a very good mood.
Kendi and others congratulated Su Mo: "Congratulations, boss. This stone tablet can be exchanged for a generous reward in Star Ring City, the Icaroya City Lord has been collecting these tablets for long."
"Wow, boss, you’ve struck it rich."
Sun Duoxiang replied excitedly.
"Nonsense, only fools exchange this tablet for money. Anyway, don’t worry about this matter. Also, regarding the stone tablet, none of you are allowed to disclose it."
Su Mo gave simple instructions.
"Understood!"
Tilo and others responded in agreement.
Of course, Su Mo was not overly concerned about leaks, as everyone present was a close ally with absolute trust.
He then took a deep breath, slowly suppressing his excitement at finding the tablet.
Su Mo turned to look at the chaotic command room and said with some sentiment.
"Unexpectedly, even beings as powerful as the Divine Race are eventually buried in history."
"Rise and fall is an eternal truth."
Qian Chengxue replied with a smile.
"Indeed."
Su Mo responded with a smile.
"Boss, what should we do next? Should we search the ship? There might be other valuable things."
Sun Duoxiang asked, somewhat impatiently.
"Search it!"
Su Mo waved his hand in reply.
"Alright!"
Sun Duoxiang then led the group, eagerly going to search.
However, Kendi and others weren’t particularly interested and didn’t follow.
At this time, Creator·Swallower suddenly spoke to Su Mo.
"I have an idea."
"Oh? What’s your idea?"
Su Mo was slightly taken aback.
"Since this ship was used by the Divine Race in their escape, it might have a central control system storing special data. Try to find someone to repair it and see if you can restart the ship’s system; perhaps we can get some useful information."
Creator·Swallower said simply to Su Mo.
"Great, I am indeed curious why the Divine Race committed collective suicide back then; what did they discover that was so unspeakable?"
Upon hearing Creator·Swallower’s suggestion, Su Mo’s interest was instantly piqued.
Creator·Swallower didn’t answer Su Mo’s question but fell into deep thought.
