Disciple of Immortal

Lesson 38: To the city of Arloburg

It took me a day to accompany Rovis and the others, and I was finally able to get through the woods.

Apparently, there were a lot of demons around Level 200 around The Hole of Hell (Coquitos), but only Level 40 demons existed at best in shallow areas of the forest, and when they exited the plains through the forest, all demons inhabited Level 20 or so.

Rovis and the others said that unusually high levels of demons are only occurring around the heart of the forest.

"I finally see it… it's the city of Aroburg"

Rovis says in a tired voice.

Surrounded by demon-free city walls, you can see the big city.

This concludes Nojuku and allows him to live a cultural life for a long time.

Even though I've gotten used to living in a bad environment in my dungeon life, it's still a big difference that there's an inn where I can sleep in peace.

... but I don't have the currency of this world.

"If we sell The Adventure King's Golden Magnet, can we work on the money for now?

What I came up with leaked in my mouth.

Rovis was looking at me with dead eyes.

"Oh, no, I'm sorry! Speaking of which, I didn't have the money, so I was wondering what I'd do in the city..."

I scratch my head with a bitter laugh.

... Rovis handled The Golden Magnet of the Adventure King dearly.

Even if I try to give it back, it will be rushed back, so I keep getting it, but let's just take his thoughts and worry about using it as much as possible as it should.

"Ki, money!? Oh, you guys have the money!?

Rovis blued his face and looked back at two of his men.

"Yes, somewhat..."

"Neither do I, because I don't carry much unnecessarily, that's it, but for once,"

Damia took magic bags everywhere, and took out more bags of money from them.

Rovis looks at Damia's money bag and hoists his eyebrows.

Rovis approached Damia and slapped down the money bag in his hand.

Money dances all around us.

"Somewhat... for once!? You know what I mean? It means that you asked for money here at the breakup! Is that the price of your own lives?

Damia turned bright blue and shook up.

Yozakura also took the magic bag in her hand off the spot with a flashing face.

"Yes, no, because I didn't try to be tacky! Fine! Well, more like a way to make money in the city... and then I was wondering if you'd like to hear anything, like city rules..."

"How to make money, is that it? Uh... is that, by legitimate means, is it?

…………

As I watched Rovis silently, he blued his face and waved.

"Yes, no, you're not. Well, after all, if you don't have a guarantee of identity, it's hard to make money in this unfriendly neighborhood! The official part is that only people who really know exactly where they're coming from can take it! Then it's tax evasion, and there's only such a thing as good offices behind it, but I don't know, do you say it's something you can't help..."

"... I'm not sure what's going on around there, but if possible, I'd like that, somewhere clear"

"Uh-huh, right..."

Rovis held his head and thought about it.

They don't have a lot of work for the leftovers to put on.

"Isn't Adventurer Guild OK...?

When Yozakura pinched his mouth, Rovis looked up bulky.

"What are you thinking! There's no way Master Kanata would work in such a low-level place! Can you imagine? A monster like this bundles herbs and carries them to the Alliance!

"Shh, excuse me! Master Rovis is right!

Yozakura bows her head to Rovis.

... now I feel like I've been treated like a monster.

"Apologize to me and do it! You'll have to apologize differently! I'm sorry, Kanata, but Yozakura came from another country, and I don't know much about this country..."

"Um, that's fine... more like an Adventurer's Guild..."

It's a name I've heard several times in this hand novel.

If this is a world where the Nialotopes made reference to Japanese games and novel groups, it should be in a form close to the Adventurer Guild I know.

If that's the case, it'll also help me with my monetary work.

"The heads of cities and districts… the heads of lords and deputies are the institutions set up according to the instructions of the Kingdom. If you're not even registered as a criminal, you can take on requests ordered by lords, guilds, and the people… demons or escorts or something, and get a price. They also buy items and demonic parts, depending on what they are."

As far as I'm concerned, it seems right on top of this.

I don't know how much my powers work for the demon thingy, but I've had Renaele work out well for a month and a half, and I wonder if I can do that there.

At least, I could confirm it was above the Rovis and the others who called themselves mercenaries.

What is the problem?

"... you will be charged a considerable brokerage fee, and if you don't have the credibility inside, you will only be able to mediate a job to the extent of chores. What's more, Garland, the lord here, is famous for his incompetence, not very good reputation. With as much power as Kanata, entering this place is only a waste of time..."

"If that's about it, there's no problem. Which way, there doesn't seem to be many other clear means, and I'll try to join the Adventurer Alliance to find a job"

I was relieved to hear that there were also jobs to the extent of chores.

I don't think I'm going to have to fall into the wings of having no job to take on.

"What... at that level?

Rovis looked puzzled and wrinkled around his forehead.

You didn't look like you were checking my status, and you didn't see it in person, but you probably guessed my level more or less when you fought.

"Hih, is it low?

You couldn't do that?

It was a lot better than Rovis, and I was wondering if he might be in a pretty good position...

Rovis had a complicated look on his face, but smiled like a plump.

"No, you're fine! I just need a registration fee, so I'll give you my money bag. It's not a big deal, but the extra amount should make it a living fund for now."

Rovis gave me the money bag.

When Damia fears, she protrudes on Rovis' shoulder.

"... Dear Rovis, is this man making any mistake? Besides, when this guy comes in, the guild's gonna be a lot harder..."

"... I'm not in trouble, and I'm not lying. You shouldn't buy grudges. Anyway, let's break up as soon as possible. If we persevere, we're in danger."

They were whispering something.

"Mr. Rovis?

When I speak, Rovis trembles on his shoulder.

"Oops...... sorry! Oh, you know, Dear Kanata, we're not very fond of ourselves by our lords, so we can't even get close to the city gates in the light... Unfortunately, I missed it around here...... can't it be dissolved?

"Right. Thank you for everything, from what to what. I'm going to try my best from here on my own."

"No! Now if you'll excuse me! No, it was very nice to meet such a wonderful person as Master Canata. And sooner or later, if there's an edge."

Rovis walked away so backwards that he held two of his men back.

"I haven't served my purpose, but I have no choice. Let's get out of here! Like I'm never gonna see you again!

The three of them were close and ran away from me.

... they were in a rush to the end.
