Chapter 604: Divine Statue and Golem
Qingfeng Saint and the Flowing Water Saint emerged from the Space Rift. All the Saints present could sense that these two newcomers were also Saints.
They did not speak to Lin Yun, just as he had arranged with them beforehand. Lin Yun didn’t want to reveal his trump cards to Qing Zhu so quickly.
"Two Gold Orders from the Celestial Spirit Auction House. Good, now everyone is here," Qing Zhu said with a light chuckle, recognizing the identities of Qingfeng Saint and the Flowing Water Saint.
Hearing this, the crowd understood. These two were indeed Gold Orders from the Celestial Spirit Auction House.
"Alright, little girl, you said you have the key. Hurry up and open the ruins," the Saint from the Death Row Shelter said impatiently.
With a faint smile, Qing Zhu said no more. She walked slowly to the gate of the ruins and took out the fragment that Lin Yun had brought back from the Mysterious Forest.
The moment he saw the fragment, Lin Yun knew his guess had been correct. Qing Zhu looked back at him, a charming smile playing on her lips.
’This woman... she’s been using me from the very beginning.’ Lin Yun shook his head helplessly and muttered to himself.
As everyone watched, Qing Zhu pressed the fragment in her hand against the gate. In an instant, the seemingly ordinary fragment erupted with a blinding light.
The rust on its surface rapidly receded, revealing the fragment’s true form, which was as crystal clear and translucent as jade.
Bathed in the fragment’s light, the gate to the ruins slowly opened. As they watched it open, the Saints could clearly feel the force that had been drawing them in grow increasingly distinct.
Having successfully opened the gate, Qing Zhu turned to the crowd behind her and said, "After you."
Qing Zhu showed no intention of rushing into the ruins. Instead, she waited until the members of the various major powers had trickled inside, then glanced at Lin Yun before stepping into the ruins herself.
Lin Yun and his group were the last to enter. Before they went in, Lin Yun warned Li Tian, Qin Feng, the Monk, and the Daoist, "Be extremely careful inside. These ruins are not simple."
The four of them nodded obediently at his warning. Indeed, ruins like these were something they had never even heard of, let alone seen with their own eyes. They would certainly have to be cautious inside.
Passing through the gate, they entered the ruins. The first thing they saw was a massive hall, its area so frighteningly vast that they couldn’t see its edges from where they stood.
Walking through the hall, Lin Yun was not with Luo Feng and his people. The Monk and Daoist were also not with their respective masters.
Because everything about these ruins was unknown, Luo Feng’s group had already told Lin Yun and the others not to follow them. Luo Feng was afraid that if they encountered danger, he wouldn’t be able to protect them.
Therefore, it was safer for Lin Yun’s group to move on their own rather than risk following them.
Following the pillars that lined the great hall, Lin Yun’s party walked for a full hour before finally reaching the far end. There, they found three different Light Gates, each shimmering with a unique glow.
"This is..." Lin Yun’s gaze merely brushed past the three Light Gates before it was immediately captured by the two stone statues flanking them.
Outside the ruins stood two Divine Statues. Here, there were also two statues, but they weren’t Divine Statues—they were Golems.
Golems, to put it plainly, were statues from the Demon Realm. Before his rebirth, although Lin Yun had never seen a real Golem, he had seen illustrations of them in books from the Divine Realm.
The two Golems before him now looked exactly like the ones depicted in those books.
Having seen both Divine Statues and Golems, Lin Yun was deeply puzzled. ’Why would statues of both the divine and the demonic appear together in the same ruins?’
The divine and the demonic had been mortal enemies since ancient times, incompatible as fire and water. From his time in the Divine Realm, Lin Yun knew that the Divine Realm and the Demon Realm were archenemies whose battles had raged since the very creation of the two realms.
Yet here, in these ruins, statues from the Divine and Demon Realms appeared together. This was something that not even Lin Yun could comprehend.
"Are you very interested in these two statues?" At some point, Qing Zhu had appeared beside Lin Yun, her sweet voice asking him the question.
Hearing Qing Zhu’s question, Lin Yun gave a slight laugh and said, "So you were using me from the very beginning. That fragment you had me retrieve—you already knew it was the key to these ruins, didn’t you?"
"Yes, I knew all along." Lin Yun hadn’t answered her question, but Qing Zhu answered his without the slightest hesitation.
Staring at Qing Zhu’s stunning face, Lin Yun felt as if he’d been played like a fiddle in the palm of her hand. "Then do you know what these ruins are?" he asked again.
"I don’t know." Qing Zhu’s reply to this question was just as direct, though whether she was telling the truth was anyone’s guess.
Not naive enough to think he could get a straight answer from her, Lin Yun’s expression remained unchanged. In his mind, the matter of Qing Zhu could be set aside for now. What concerned him more was the nature of these ruins. Why would statues from the Divine and Demon Realms appear here together?
Unlike the two Divine Statues at the entrance, these two Golems, while equally imposing, exuded a bloodthirsty and evil aura.
’Statues of both gods and demons appearing together in the same ruin... What in the world is going on?’ Lin Yun wondered.
While Lin Yun’s eyes were fixed on the two Golems, everyone else was searching the rest of the great hall. In their view, whatever treasures the hall might hold were far more useful than these two statues.
Li Tian didn’t leave Lin Yun’s side. Seeing how intently Lin Yun was focused on the two statues, Li Tian knew there must be something special about them, so he began to study them as well.
Unlike Li Tian, the Monk and Daoist were naturally restless individuals. Furthermore, their masters were not with them at the moment, but with Luo Feng and the others.
The pair quickly set their sights on Qing Zhu. To say these two were audaciously lecherous would be an understatement.
Anyone could see that Qing Zhu was an extremely dangerous woman, but faced with her heavenly beauty, the Monk and Daoist had no resistance whatsoever.

The Monk and Daoist swaggered up to Qing Zhu, striking what they must have thought was a handsome pose, and began a very smug self-introduction.
"Miss Qing Zhu, the two of us admire you greatly..."
Looking at their lecherous expressions, a smile touched Qing Zhu’s face as she leaned in and whispered something in their ears.
No one knew what she said, but after hearing her words, the expressions on the Monk and Daoist’s faces changed dramatically. They didn’t bother Qing Zhu again; instead, they promptly fled from her side, keeping a wide berth.
