Chapter 1420 - 920: Date
As soon as these words were spoken, the dormitory members became enthusiastic. Having spent two years together, they were no longer as reserved as they were when they first arrived.
At first meeting, they were nerdy show-offs.
Now, they’re just a bunch of jokers.
No matter when, speaking of high school topics and bringing in the opposite sex, almost everyone would voluntarily join in.
"Indeed."
Brother Bao Song nodded, taking the opportunity to mock Da Chao, "Didn’t you chase after the senior every day at first?"
"Give up the dark path for the bright one earlier and shamelessly pursue Deng Yi. Maybe one day she’ll agree to you out of confusion."
"And now, we’re almost in our junior year."
Da Chao: "???
What’s with the ’out of confusion she might agree to me’?" he said speechlessly. "Besides, it’s not like I haven’t tried."
Yang Jingfan turned his head, looking shocked.
"You confessed?"
"No, how could I?" Da Chao said. "I was going to get her contact info and found she was adding Brother Nian."
"When?"
Jiang Nian couldn’t remember, "No, Deng Yi seemed to reach out to me online, probably through a temporary chat window or something."
Da Chao hesitated but eventually spoke up.
"At the time, she opened the verification message, writing and deleting. If you didn’t know, you’d think it was a mini-essay."
"Later, it was all deleted, and she clicked on the temporary chat."
"Oh, oh." Jiang Nian casually responded, not paying much attention, "I’m young and not interested in dating."
"Damn!"
The three dorm mates couldn’t hold it any longer and cursed out loud. How could there still be such shameless people in the world?
"So, do you think Brother Yi is pretty?" Da Chao asked slyly.
Hearing this, Jiang Nian glanced at this rascal. If he answered, Da Chao might just sell him out.
"Well."
"I’m kind of face-blind. People who are pretty just seem so-so to me; honestly, you shouldn’t look for pretty ones for relationships."
"If you really want a good find, it should be the dorm caretaker aunt. Date her, and you get a car and a house, plus a pension."
"Is this even human?"
"Damn, what a beast!"
"Disgusting!"
...
Jiang Nian walked away laughing, went to use the bathroom, and replied to Wang Yuhe, trying to trick her into coming out to play.
Wang Yuhe replied, "(middle finger) hmph!"
"Hehe."
He wasn’t bothered; Wang Yuhe was just an incidental. The focus was still on Chen Yunyun; as long as she agreed, it would work out.
In Wang Yuhe’s heart, Chen Yunyun certainly weighed more.
So, there weren’t high expectations.
"Then go to sleep." Jiang Nian replied, "I’m ready to go to bed, let’s arrange for Yunyun next time."
"You!!!"
"What’s wrong?" Jiang Nian replied with a playful emoji, put his phone in his pocket, and returned to the dormitory.
Just as he climbed onto his bed, his phone briefly lit up.
"Are you coming out tomorrow?" Wang Yuhe sent a message, accompanied by a smug yellow face emoji.
"Hmm?" Jiang Nian looked at the message content, slightly confused, unable to comprehend the elementary school-level thinking process.
No means no, and then it becomes yes?
Maybe.....
Chen Yunyun agreed, or there might be another reason. Most likely, it’s a not-so-bright mind’s scheme.
Trick him out, then call Chen Yunyun, right?
Yeah, seems reasonable.
He thought about it and simply agreed. Having more interactions with Chen Yunyun would be beneficial during the summer vacation.
The next day.
During the day, Jiang Nian attended classes at school, had a quick lunch, and then arrived early at the classroom to wait for class.
On non-weekends it’s like this, not torturous for the early morning class. The real torture is the first class at one in the afternoon.
Non-stop classes, it’s quite annoying.
After a while, people started arriving in the large classroom. Deng Yi walked in and handed Jiang Nian a cup of iced fruit tea.
"Got this for you."
Jiang Nian looked up, bewildered.
"What do you mean?"
"Da Chao said you think I’m pretty; you’ve got good taste." Deng Yi lifted her chin, speaking with great pride.
Jiang Nian couldn’t hold back anymore. When did he ever say that?
"He made that up."
Specifically, he couldn’t repeat it. He couldn’t possibly say he mentioned finding a girlfriend should be like a dorm caretaker aunt.
A woman is like fine wine, right?
"Anyway, I bought it." Deng Yi sat down in front, gnashing her teeth as soon as she sat. Da Chao was really asking for it!
Dare to lie about my drink, he’s ready to say goodbye to this world!
They attended classes all afternoon.
Once it ended, Jiang Nian left quickly. He drove to the meeting place, curious to see what tricks an elementary schooler could be up to.
Upon arrival, he saw Wang Yuhe sitting alone in the square. With a small backpack, her long legs drew circles on the ground.
Looking silly.
"Where’s Chen Yunyun?" Jiang Nian walked up to her, casually patting the elementary schooler’s head and looking around.
No one else, had she gone to buy something?
"She’s not coming."
Wang Yuhe looked a bit downcast, "Her department has an event she can’t miss, and I’ve already agreed with you."
Oh, the scheme failed.
But still, not asking in advance. Chen Yunyun probably thought it was just a casual outing and naturally postponed.
"If she’s not coming, she’s not coming. I’m still here."
Jiang Nian poked her face. From this angle, there was a vague sense of transparency.
Even though Wang Yuhe was dressed very modestly, once you’ve seen it, you can’t forget the imagery.
"Let’s go to the arcade."
"Really?" Wang Yuhe lifted her head, eyes sparkling. She knew Jiang Nian wasn’t interested in shopping.
When they were together, it was just bickering.
Actually, they rarely spent time alone together. Even if they did, it was only for very short periods.
Not to mention, going on a date alone.
"Yeah, I don’t like shopping." Jiang Nian decided firmly, pulling Wang Yuhe into the car.
He paused deliberately, taking on a supervisory pose.
"Buckle up."
"Oh, oh."
Click, the seatbelt pressed a deep, rounded mark at a forty-five-degree angle.
Suddenly, Wang Yuhe realized as well.
"What are you looking at?"
Looking down.
Then, she immediately hugged her chest. It wasn’t that Wang Yuhe suddenly understood, but Jiang Nian made no attempt to hide it.
No point in pretending, it had already been broken through.
Might as well look openly.
"The seatbelt, what else?" Jiang Nian withdrew his gaze, started the engine and said, "Buckle up."
The car slowly drove out of the parking spot and merged onto the main road.
At night, the traffic flowed like a river, the taillights connecting in a stream. Jiang Nian drove steadily, occasionally glancing at Wang Yuhe.
"Are you nervous?"
"No!" Wang Yuhe straightened her chest, yet the seatbelt deepened the marks, revealing curves under her clothes.
Jiang Nian’s sharp eyes caught a glimpse.
A little lower, where the curves gathered, then expanded again into a full, peach shape.
"Haha, you probably think I’m a pervert," he sighed deeply with a seemingly mournful tone.
Wang Yuhe felt a pang of compassion, stealing a glance at him.
"I never said that."
"Oh, but I definitely am," Jiang Nian was completely unconcerned, flooring the accelerator to reach the arcade.
Buying game tokens, then leading the way in.
The arcade wasn’t all that exciting, nothing special. But to distract Wang Yuhe, it was enough.
All the nervousness vanished.
"I want to play that!" Wang Yuhe eagerly pointed at the coin pusher, only to be immediately rejected by Jiang Nian.
"Gambling, can’t play."
"Fine." Wang Yuhe didn’t think much of it, turning to eye the claw machines, carefully spending tokens.
In fact, if Jiang Nian played the coin pusher, he might not need to spend any money, just a few tokens to start it.
But, it wasn’t necessary.
Even with the claw machines, Jiang Nian let Wang Yuhe play until she was frustrated before stepping in.
You don’t need to give too much excitement, just enough.
Otherwise, what’s left for next time?
They played in the arcade for more than an hour, and only when they were thirsty did they leave to find something to eat.
While settling the bill, Jiang Nian glanced at Wang Yuhe, who was holding a lemon tea, thinking the night was just beginning.
Alright, now it’s my turn to have some fun.
He walked over, patting Wang Yuhe’s head, "Let’s go, I’ll take you back to school. Did you tell Chen Yunyun?"
