Chapter 2777 - 250: Abraham Redington, Do You Know How Terrifying You Are?
Molly Wellington paused for a moment and shook her head, "No, it has nothing to do with him. Uncle Helmsley, don’t worry about Abraham Redington and me, just arrange Mr. Harrison’s job properly. He lost his job because of me, and I won’t feel at ease until he gets another one."
The breakup between her and Abraham Redington was never because of somebody else; even without Lincoln Harrison, there would be Matthew Collins, Seymour Holbrook.
She agreed to reconcile with Abraham Redington too impulsively, thinking that liking someone was enough to be together. She found an excuse to try again, but it was just fear.
If it weren’t for some so-called excuse to try or not try, Molly Wellington knew she might never dare try to love or date again.
Unfortunately, even after taking that step, reality remains harsh.
She and Abraham Redington were simply never meant to be.
...
Elsewhere, long after Molly Wellington had left, Abraham Redington stood behind the office desk with a somber expression, remaining motionless for a long time.
His narrow, deep blue eyes flickered with shadows, and his cold thin lips pressed into a hard line.
After a long time, the man suddenly stretched out his long hand to pick up the cell phone placed on the desk.
"Abraham Redington? Not keeping Molly company, why the sudden leisure to call me?"
From the other end of the phone, Yana Lucas’s cold, ethereal voice came through.
Abraham Redington sat behind the office desk, and upon hearing the word ’Molly,’ his lowered cold eyes flashed with a hint of pain: "Molly and I broke up."
"So quickly..." Yana Lucas’s voice sounded coolly knowing, as if unsurprised by this outcome, "Who brought it up, Molly?"
"Yes." Abraham Redington nodded slightly, "Yana, did you already guess it?"
His words were not a question but a confirmation.
Yana Lucas didn’t hold back, smirking: "Yes, when you asked me how to win Molly back, I already guessed it. To be honest, hearing this result didn’t surprise me at all. Abbie, you certainly have a way of disappointing a girl. Tell me, what was the reason this time?"
His sister’s words remained simple, direct, and ruthlessly cold.
Yet every time, Abraham Redington had no choice but to consult Yana Lucas for advice on emotional issues.
Because he was Abraham Redington, the second son of the Lucas family, heir to the Reddington family—nobody around him dared give him real advice.
If he asked Lulu, he might get answers even more ridiculous than his own thoughts.
Ask Jordan Lancaster?
Ha... his brother would probably make Molly hate him even more.
So the only person Abraham Redington could ask, the one who dared to tell him the truth, was Yana Lucas.
With a slight pause in his gaze, Abraham Redington truthfully recounted the reasons and process of his breakup with Molly Wellington to Yana Lucas.
As soon as he finished speaking, Yana Lucas on the other end of the phone coldly smirked, "Second brother, when it comes to self-destructing, there’s really no man in the world who can compete with you. You could even come up with doing something like this; no wonder Molly couldn’t bear it."
Abraham Redington frowned upon hearing his sister’s words: "What do you mean?"
Yana Lucas: "The literal meaning. Abraham Redington, if my boyfriend dared to do such a thing, I’d absolutely refuse to have anything to do with him ever again."
Ever refuse to have anything to do with him...
When these six words came out of Yana Lucas’s mouth, Abraham Redington finally felt a sense of crisis.
He instinctively said, "Molly isn’t necessarily as strong as you; a girl can be persuaded... she won’t have the heart to never have anything to do with me again."
"Ha, second brother... You really don’t understand Molly. Even if Molly is as cute as a doormat, she’s also proud to her core. Besides, have you ever considered how frightening everything you’ve done might be?"
Abraham Redington: "I... frightening..."
"Yes, very frightening." Yana Lucas showed no mercy to her brother, "You’re destroying Molly’s trust in the world..."
