Chapter 2690 - 163: I Want to Be with You
While Ray Mckinley was quietly explaining the situation to Dr. Cooper, Molly Wellington had already started using the hairdryer.
Abraham Redington’s black hair was damp at the tips, and if he weren’t a patient right now, Molly Wellington wouldn’t bother with this inexplicable man!
As Molly Wellington dried his hair, Abraham Redington let her fair and gentle hand weave through his dark hair.
He sat at the head of the bed, his chin lowered, his ice-blue eyes mixed with indistinct emotions.
From beginning to end, he didn’t speak with the usual sharp tongue that left others speechless, nor did he resist in any way. He just sat there with deep eyes.
A moment later, Molly Wellington turned off the hairdryer. "All done. Change into your pajamas quickly. I’ll go get Dr. Cooper up here."
The mysterious repeated fevers needed to be reported to the doctor to see if medication was necessary.
Molly Wellington placed the new change of clothes at Abraham Redington’s side and prepared to go downstairs.
Unexpectedly, as she turned her head, she caught sight of two heads sneaking out from behind the wall cabinet.
Ray Mckinley and Dr. Cooper: "..."
Oops, didn’t expect to get caught red-handed watching the show.
Although Molly Wellington noticed their surprise, she wasn’t angry. She waved them over, "Dr. Cooper, could you please come over... Redington Young Master’s illness hasn’t improved because the bathwater was too cold. What do you suggest we do?"
In front of outsiders, Molly Wellington instinctively saved face for Abraham Redington.
She didn’t expose that the reason for his repeated colds was his childish, idle habit of taking cold baths!
Thankfully, Dr. Cooper had already learned the inside story from Ray Mckinley early in the morning.
"Alright, I’ll examine Redington Young Master right away." Dr. Cooper pretended to be completely unaware and carefully examined Abraham Redington.
He then gave detailed instructions to Molly Wellington on how to observe, medicate, and care for him.
After staying up there for about twenty minutes, Ray Mckinley swiftly closed the door and slipped away with Dr. Cooper.
They couldn’t quite sense if Miss Wellington was angry.
But it was clear that their Redington Young Master didn’t enjoy them staying in the room.
After the two left, Molly Wellington sat on the bed’s edge and began unwrapping the medicine Dr. Cooper had prescribed.
As she unwrapped the medication, she glanced at Abraham Redington and asked irritably, "Tell me... what on earth is the esteemed Redington Young Master thinking? Why the cold baths? How long did you stay in them? Was it always like this? And where is your common sense, Abraham?"
Molly Wellington didn’t know why she was so angry.
It was just that when she discovered Abraham taking a cold bath, she felt a strange yet familiar emotion bubbling up inside her.
At that moment, she was focused on dragging him out of the bathtub, with no time to ponder the explosive feeling in her heart.
There was a tinge of regret and self-blame, thinking that if she had been by his side, this wouldn’t have happened.
But more so, she felt an inexplicable rage.
Yes, rage.
Angry that he didn’t cherish his health.
Angry that he’s not a three-year-old child and should know how detrimental repeated fevers are to the body.
"I want to be with you..."
Under Molly Wellington’s unfounded anger, as she stared with her wide almond-shaped eyes, Abraham Redington slightly parted his thin lips and spoke softly.
Molly Wellington: "You..."
With deep, bright blue eyes, Abraham Redington glanced at the slightly stunned woman.
He looked at her, speaking each word clearly, "It’s precisely because of my rationality that I chose this foolish way. Otherwise, Molly... from the day you fainted, I would’ve taken you by then."
