Chapter 390 - 335: This Boyfriend (3)
The red palm print on her face was exceptionally clear.
"You... you actually hit me? You hit me for that dead woman?"
’I’m sorry, I was wrong! This isn’t just shallow water; she’s clearly jumped into a whole river!’
"Yurinoko, my patience is limited. Understand? Do you need me to do this myself?"
Cang Yuan walked toward Yurinoko with a sinister air, snatching the mask of skin from her hands and cradling it lovingly in his palm.
However, he showed no such patience or tenderness toward Yurinoko.
"Doctor Wen, I was wrong! I’m begging you, save me! I don’t want to die! I want to trade for a different prize! I want to trade it for my safety!"
Yurinoko screamed.
"Hasn’t your prize been used already? The code to open the cabinet—that was your prize."
"You bitch! How dare you conspire with an outsider to harm my Cai Zi!"
SLAP!
Another vicious slap!
After slapping her, Cang Yuan lifted Yurinoko with one hand, his strength terrifying.
He bound Yurinoko, and Cang Yuan sealed her mouth with duct tape.
His movements were fluid and practiced, as if he didn’t care that people on the livestream were watching.
Dragging Yurinoko to the living room, he threw her on the floor. Then, Cang Yuan began his preparations.
After about ten minutes, Cang Yuan said with some regret, "Today wasn’t supposed to be the best day for this, but you insisted on seeking death, unwilling to live even two more days. What else could I do?"
Yurinoko’s eyes pleaded for mercy, but unfortunately for her, Cang Yuan was utterly disgusted by this woman. Why would he ever pity her?
"Cai Zi, Brother Yuan is so sorry. I couldn’t give you the most perfect body, but I will use the rest of my life to make it up to you and be with you."
She heard the familiar words spoken by the familiar man, but this time, they were for another woman.
All hope in Yurinoko’s heart died.
As the ritual began, Cang Yuan suddenly looked toward the livestream. "Doctor Wen, I’ll remember you. I hear you’re in a mental hospital. Perhaps we’ll be meeting very soon."
Cang Yuan was smiling, but it was a bizarre, unsettling smile.
The moment he finished speaking, the livestream abruptly cut out.
’What’s this guy’s deal? It’s one thing to cut the stream, but to provoke Doctor Wen on top of it?’
’Why won’t he let us watch the ritual?’
’Is Yurinoko going to survive this?’
’Judging by what that guy said, he’s going into the mist too? What does that even mean?’
Wen Ying was left wanting more. "He means that we’ll meet in the mist. As for which mist, or when, that’s still uncertain. But he’s clearly confident, which means his identity isn’t as simple as just some guy from the Neon Country. As for Yurinoko’s fate... all I can say is, it’s in the hands of heaven."
This was perhaps the first time during a livestream that Doctor Wen hadn’t intervened to help a human in crisis.
But no one complained.
The woman had brought this entirely upon herself.
But this man, Cang Yuan, was still shrouded in mystery.
For three hours after the livestream ended, Cang Yuan stared, unblinking, at the woman in front of him—Yurinoko.
Or, one could now call her Cai Zi.
His ritual this time had been a great success.
But due to a mistake in the timing, Cai Zi would need to slumber for two more days before she would awaken.
Cang Yuan placed Cai Zi on his own bed and washed her body. Staring at that familiar face, his heart thrummed with a mixture of nervousness and excitement.
His Cai Zi could finally be with him again.
He threw everything Yurinoko had ever used into the trash.
He bought new supplies and three days’ worth of groceries, planning not to leave the house.
But on the evening of the second day, the computer began to beep. Cang Yuan turned it on and frowned at the new task displayed on the screen.
How could he possibly accept a task at a time like this?
Cai Zi was about to wake up. He had to be with her, to ensure her safety.
If she couldn’t see him when she woke up, she would surely be worried and afraid.
At that thought, Cang Yuan shut down the computer without a second thought.
But on the morning of the third day, the computer turned on by itself. A line of blood-red text suddenly appeared on the screen, describing his next mission. If he failed, not only would he be punished, but the newly resurrected Cai Zi would fall back into her endless slumber.
He smashed a newly bought porcelain vase with a single punch. Then, Cang Yuan sat down at his computer and clicked to accept the mission.
Before leaving, he wrote a note and placed it beside Cai Zi. He filled the refrigerator with food, and only then did he head out.

"Cleaner, your task today is to act as an orderly on the third floor. If any patient is not Satisfied, you will die a miserable death."
