Chapter 424 - 347: Ultimate Killing Move
The Head Nurse suppressed her indignation and fury. No matter how much she wanted to lash out, she didn’t dare say a word.
Even if she had such thoughts, even if she was willing to sacrifice her own life to achieve her goal, she would never dare to question the Dean.
’I just want this woman from Flower Country to die!’
’If she dies, no one will be able to take my position!’
[Damn, so this is a Domain? It feels more real than sci-fi movies!]
[Forget that, what I want to know is what kind of tech Doctor Wen is using for her stream. How can she broadcast freely from inside a Domain created by a monster like this? Totally unaffected?]
[Looks like the monster hasn’t noticed yet, has he? Honestly, I used to be a big fan of handsome Foreign guys like him, but now I can barely even look at them.]
[You guys, look at the Head Nurse. With that look in her eyes, doesn’t it seem like she wants to eat Doctor Wen alive?]
...
"You want me to be your assistant?" Wen Ying smiled. "Sure. But I don’t like sharing a position. How about you kill the Head Nurse first, Dean?"
The Head Nurse stared at the woman from Flower Country in disbelief.
’She hadn’t even settled the score with this human, and now the human was already coming for her life?’
"Dean! Don’t believe a word this human says! Humans are full of deceit!"
And yet, the Dean was actually... considering it?
"Dean, I’ve followed you for so many years. Even if I have no merits, I have my loyal service! How can you think of casting me aside for a vicious human like her?"
"Human! In your dreams! Do you really think the Dean will fall for your tricks?"
Wen Ying adopted a nonchalant expression. "That’s my condition. If you can’t meet it, we can just forget the whole thing."
"You!"
"Fine. I can kill her. But you must become my assistant. Otherwise, I will make you stay trapped here for eternity."
The Dean didn’t hesitate long before giving his answer.
Hearing the Dean’s words, the Head Nurse staggered and nearly fell.
Why, why, why?
By what right? By what right! BY WHAT RIGHT!
’It’s all this human’s fault!’
"If you dare trick me, I will grind your bones to ash, leaving you unable to reincarnate."
The moment the Dean finished speaking, the Head Nurse was lifted into the air and then slammed heavily onto the floor.
This was apparently just the appetizer.
The Head Nurse tried to resist but couldn’t even lift a finger.
Her mouth was sealed shut. Aside from her eyes, her entire body was paralyzed.
Cracks began to spiderweb across her body, mirroring the fracturing of the Dean’s Domain.
But just before she shattered completely, she was dropped from the air, crashing onto the floor once more.
This gave the Head Nurse a chance to gasp for breath. "Dean, this human is deceiving you! She doesn’t actually want to stay here! She’s been trying to leave the Fog! She was asking about the last will!"
The Dean, who had been silent, heard this and repeated, "Last will?"
Those golden eyes, like a frozen river, held an azure tint. A power within them seemed to grow so palpable it was on the verge of taking physical form.
"You want to know about the last will?" The Dean’s voice was devoid of emotion, robotic, yet it felt as if some terrifying force was stirring back to life.
"Human, you haven’t been behaving."
Hearing the two words "last will," Wen Ying noticed a drastic shift in the Dean’s mood.
The pressure he exuded was stronger than ever before.
"Does this last will have something to do with you, Dean?" Wen Ying retorted, acting as if she hadn’t noticed his fury or the crushing change in atmosphere.
The Dean turned his gaze toward the Head Nurse. Forgetting her pain, she immediately shook her head. "I didn’t say anything, Dean, believe me! Even after this human killed my child, I didn’t say a word!"
A look of pure hatred contorted the Head Nurse’s face. Tears welled in her eyes but refused to fall, slowly turning from clear to blood-red.
"You want to know about the last will?" The Dean extended a hand, and Wen Ying once again felt a suffocating pressure begin to slowly build.
But they weren’t inside the Dean’s Domain right now. With a flash of movement, Wen Ying dodged aside, causing the Dean’s attack to hit nothing but air.
"It seems you’re no different from the other humans. Do you know what I do to them?"
Wen Ying watched him without saying a word.
"For prey that won’t obey, I break every single one of their bones and let them suffer, day after day, year after year."
"You won’t do that, Dean," Wen Ying said suddenly.
"Oh? I won’t?"
"This place operates on rules. Even though you’re the Dean, you still have to obey them, don’t you? If you were to break the rules, I imagine you’d be annihilated by them, just like the rest of us."
