Dream Life

Episode 40: The Ball: The Later

I took Liddy in a pure white dress and headed to the table where Beatrice waited.

But that's all there is. The atmosphere is strange. As we approached, Dan was desperately trying to stop the young aristocratic opponent.

The young nobleman is an honorable man with a flashy fine sword Rapier hanging on his waist in lavish clothing made of a lot of gold and silver thread, and he looks a little older than me, but he has a glimpse of arrogance. And you were pretty drunk, bright red to the neck as well as the face.

"Is something wrong?

When I said that, Dan had a slightly appeased look.

"This is better for Mr. Beatrice...... uh, he came by to tell me. That too..."

The man interrupted the conversation so as to block Dan's words.

"Ko, give this beast man to me! Oh, I heard you were a mistress..."

From the words that Lu Laws would not turn, it was found that this young man was Jonas, the son of the Marquis of Seawell.

Beatrice had the look of confusion because of her opponent's high status. If this is an adventurer or mercenary opponent, it must have been resolved with a fist, but I think the Lockhart family (us) will be annoyed and I don't know what to do. For that reason, or as soon as I saw my face, I had a heartfelt look on my face.

(You're a bad drunk. But no matter what happens to me, I can't hear you insulting Beatrice...)

"She's my fiancée. I can't condone any more insults."

I let Jonas go with a low voice. But totally drunk, he didn't seem to feel my killer. I started mocking my words.

"If I can't forgive you... Kiki, what can you do to the knight's second son style (what can you do)... come on"

He's drunk, but he looks like a convicted criminal.

Certainly nothing can be done in the knighthood class against the Marquis' man if it is normal.

Imperial law allows you to apply for a duel against senior aristocrats, even before the building, if they are described to knights. But this has the Emperor's permission. I mean, it's the same thing the Emperor can't do without his permission.

The Emperor probably won't give such permission because he needs the support of senior aristocrats in order to remain in power. Of course, if you are the opponent of a power struggle, you may use it, but nevertheless risk being backfired if your opponent is a powerful nobleman. So, anyway, if you're going to use it as a threat, you can't actually give permission.

I don't know if that's why, but there are rumors in the Imperial capital that senior nobles are behaving tyrannically against the cavalier class and the civilian population. I don't know how true it is, but he says he can do whatever he wants to force his knight's wife to be his mistress, or the daughters of knights and civilians who work in the Imperial Palace. It would not be irrelevant that Harrison Gannell, who had merit as a knight, was betrayed by a senior nobleman, or that Desmond Gateskel, who had excelled at the Academy of Higher Studies, did not obtain an official position in the Imperial capital.

This time I'm dealing with a second son who's neither a knight nor his best man. From their point of view, they think it's not enough to take the second son of a knight's house.

I just didn't think "Yamato" was such a mess with the guests invited by Uncle Borderline, but it still seems that some people are poisoned.

But a normal knight's second son doesn't have to have hands or feet, and I don't have the means to retaliate. Of course, I don't intend to actively use the Blacksmith Guild, but if the opponent wears power to Kasas, this one has to take countermeasures as well.

"Fiancé? Take the beast man to his wife... down, take the lowlife beast man to his wife... fools..."

Still, ignore Jonas, who is saying Gdagda, and ask Dan to "find me a servant of the Seawell family". He nodded quickly, shouting, "The Seawell family squire!..." he began to circle the venue screaming.

The musicians didn't know what to do with this commotion either, and the performance was stopped. For this reason, many of the invitees, unable to dance and being shown unpleasant disturbances, were frowning.

There was a chunk of grump beside me.

Liddy whispered, "Shall I blow it up? Then I'll be clean," he said, hoisting a beautiful shaped brow, creating an atmosphere that still seems to cast an air hammer (air hammer) spell.

I burst gently with my elbow and said, "No. Weight yourself up," he tells her in a whisper. She snorts grumpy but never cast a spell.

"Come on. I think you're getting drunk. Why don't you go back to your room early?"

When I say that, they say something more, but I can't hear what they're saying anymore because Lu Rhythm hasn't turned around. I guess I'm glad I didn't hear you. Because you're probably saying something that makes you want to hit me.

Beatrice looks sorry beside Jonas, who summons.

"I'm sorry. I ruined the ball."

Reinforce your voice with the words "Beatrice is not bad". I was a little drunk, too, and I remembered my unspeakable anger at Jonas for ruining this moment.

I approached to grab the chest barn and say, "This drunk..."

That's when Dan came running at a good time.

"Oh, finally, I found the Seawell family... My Lord, I'm sorry to hear about your son"

Behind him was the Marquis Seawell himself. When I was in my mid-thirties, I greeted him during a feast, but he also responded normally to us, and he didn't have a bad impression.

I bowed my head on one knee, and Liddy was gracefully lifting her skirt, pulling one leg, and bowing.

"Lord Zacharias, my son annoyed me. Forgive me."

When the Marquis says so, he bows his head greatly. I was surprised by the behavior of the senior aristocrats and could only rush to say, "Keep your head up."

"I'll make this fool go apologize to your lord and fiancée even tomorrow. Make sure to apologize in the name of the Marquis Seawell. Can you forgive me for that?"

I caught a glimpse of Beatrice. She was also surprised that the Marquis bowed her head, but when I sent her a signal with my eyes, she responded with her eyes saying that was enough.

"I guess you're not really used to drinking. If Master Jonas doesn't have a hand in my fiancée in the future, I'll forget about it as a booze seat."

The Marquis gave a slight expression of relief and nodded small.

"It would help if you could say that. But even if you drink too much, there are good and bad things to do. If my son ever bothers you again, I will abolish this man. I don't deserve to be named a fool who endangers my Marquis family."

I was stuck with that word again. Speaking of the Marquis Seawell family, it is a prestigious family that is now related to the Emperor. Abolishing that Marquis man is a very heavy story politically as well. That's not what could have happened because of the drunken momentum that led to the knight's second son's fiancée.

The Marquis began to speak with a serious look as to whether the question was on his face.

"Don't take your value too lightly. If your lord is really angry and moves the Blacksmith Guild... yes, if you let all the Dwarves of Imperial Primes pull up..."

I didn't think, "I won't do that," I pinched my mouth. But the Marquis nods small, without offending the mood, and continues his words.

"Your Lordship wouldn't be able to do that. But if such rumors spread... they could only spread, and my Seawell family could be crushed. My political enemies will be happy to move."

The Marquis turned to Beatrice,

"It seems that my son has said something, but I do not consider you a mistress, nor do I regard the Beast tribe as such. In fact, I hold many beasts to the minister and take them as knights. If you would pledge your allegiance to our home (...), you would take it as a knight. That's all you deserve."

To avoid being misunderstood, the Marquis emphasised the term "home”. As the head of the Marquis family, I seem to want to say that you may hold Beatrice as a samurai. Beatrice opened her eyes to the words and was surprised. But the Marquis, regardless, looked down at Jonas, held by his squire, and went on to talk further.

"My son (this fool) doesn't know what your true worth is, but I'm pretty sure you're an attractive woman. My son must have been intoxicated by your charm and unfamiliar liquor. I know you're impatient, but forgive me."

Beatrice just said, "No, no, I don't care......" It was the best I could do.

When the Marquis ordered the obedient man to "take Jonas to his room," he apologized to everyone in the venue.

"My son annoyed me! But the night is still long! I want you to change your mind and have fun. Later, I'll have our secret wine delivered! Not to Sir Zacharias' namesake, but I want you to taste it to the fullest! Musicians, start playing!

The applause boiled from the venue to the words of the Marquis, and the musicians began playing a bright song.

I was impressed with Marquis Seawell's speech and manipulation.

First of all, I have the empathy of those who feel uncomfortable by declaring that I will dispose of my son. And not only did he apologize without hesitation to me and Beatrice, who were less than identical, but he also apologized to the annoyed invitees and showed the utmost sincerity. For this reason, Beatrice, as well as those around her, will only have a strong memory of someone like the Marquis apologizing to them in good faith. In fact, his words had greatly weakened his son's impression of lethargy.

The appearance of the Marquis somehow drained the poison, and there was subtle air between us. Especially me and Liddy. My anger has been subtly left earlier, but there's never been any more anger coming in, and that's not why I ended it completely. Such subtle emotions were drifting between us.

Beatrice tore me through such air.

"You guys haven't danced yet, have you? Just go."

I was hesitant to leave her to go dancing.

"No one gets involved any more thanks to the Marquis. Plus, the Seawell family's secret wine arrives. I'd rather be that way than dancing."

Me and Liddy face each other at the same time for that word. And erupted at the same time.

"Oh, well, I'm going to dance a song. But leave us alone."

That's what I said, I invited Liddy, and she went into the dance ring.

Afterwards, I danced with Liddy a few songs and my bitter thoughts earlier had disappeared.

I relieve myself that the intensely familiar Liddy enjoys it without worrying about his gaze in so many people and is glad he was forced to lure them out.

I asked her why she was wearing a pure white dress and had just a few thoughts. She chose a pure white dress because she taught me that in the original world it was a classic dress worn by the bride.

We don't give each other the keyword "marriage”. Because as far as I'm concerned, I don't know how to cut it out, but maybe it's time to take it seriously.

I asked her as she danced about it and she said, "Nothing's fine, I can't believe we're getting married. Because it's not going to change my life anyway," she replied with an unsatisfactory answer.

I don't know if it's true, but I'm going to officially propose to Liddy and Beatrice soon. Until now, I've postponed the mission I was given, but I want to get it right.

With that in mind, I was looking at Liddy's face.

"Is there something on my face?

That's what I've been asking naughty.

"No, I just wanted to watch. It's polite to look them in the eye at a dance like this."

I was talking about no other love.

The wine from the Marquis Seawell family then arrived and was to be behaved in the courtyard. We can also have two bottles - not made of glass, but like ceramic jars - but it can still be mid-summer, and the temperature is high to drink. The magic of the pseudo-perche effect makes it moderate - about twelve degrees slightly lower - and pours it into a glass removed from the storage magic (inventory). Of course, I can't get it out in public, so I'm doing the kind of work Dan went to pick it up in his room.

I just asked because there was Barbara Harding, head of the samurai, who said that the Seawell family's red wine seems famous in the Imperial capital, something that nobles can't even speak of inside.

The color is a bright red with slightly darker eyes. When exposed to the light of the magic props of the lights, they appear slightly purple.

And when I carry it to my mouth, it hasn't deteriorated for what it has carried the streets of mid-summer, and the balance between the sweetness and acidity of the black grapes is very good even though it is young. It felt close to the medium type of red wine around Italy and Spain.

"That's good inside. Pack it in a bottle and put it to sleep for about two years and it's going to be better."

Liddy and Beatrice empty the glass the same way when I'm tongue-in-cheek with satisfaction.

"That's really good. But I need something to pick."

I agreed with Liddy's words.

"How about this or something?

There a young woman in a yellow dress stood with a grin, and what seemed like a knob - cheese, a bite of quiche, bread coated with liet, etc. - has gracefully offered a dish served nicely.

The woman was Aina Rushton, one of the samurai who was serving.

"I thought Master Zacharias would always ask for you... but that's just what Barbara said."

That's what I say, I laugh at it like it's corny.

Sure, she must have been fourteen, a year younger than me or Sharon, but her smile looked grown up.

(I looked younger when I was breaking the glass and crying... is this something that changes in the atmosphere, including what I wear...)

Liddy glanced at Aina and said, "Why don't you dance her a song? Thank you for the knob," he said.

Beatrice also says, "Me and Lydiane are having a glass of delicious wine and this knob." What a masculine dialogue, but I find myself confused when a luscious dress is different than usual.

I said to Liddy, "Go quickly. Of course, you dance with the chief samurai," she waves sissy as she drives the dog.

I looked back in awe of the trick and asked Aina, "Can you dance a song?"

She said, "Yes! Happy," he took my hand with a full smile.

I danced one song and saw it, but there was just one thing going up to the castle with an apprenticeship of demeanor, and it was a brilliant step.

Aina said she danced another song, but broke up with her to dance with Samurai Chief Barbara Harding.

Barbara, dressed in a moss green dress, stood lonely on the wall and watched as the dance circle unraveled. There were no people around her, and the next person seemed undecided.

"Dear Barbara. Could you dance with me for a song?"

At that time, she was looking the other way from me and didn't seem to notice me. As a result, he gave me a very surprising look and forgot to respond to my invitation.

I made the softer smile I could and asked her out again.

"How about a song with me?

Barbara responded with a crimson face and disappearing "joyfully," almost embarrassing my hand.

It was surprising.

These opportunities should be plentiful because we have spent many years in this Wellburn Castle, arguably the court of a small country. Of course, if you were a samurai chief, you wouldn't be able to attend all that often, and the Raswells might not have had enough gorgeous garden games and balls because of the continuing misfortune, but you still must have more experience than earlier Eina.

But the woman in front of me, Barbara Harding, had a slighter feeling than a fourteen-year-old girl.

A relatively adult song plays and dances in slow steps. I was just better led in a sophisticated move.

At the end of the song, I gracefully thank you and leave.

He looked somewhat lonely to me and accidentally spoke up.

"How about a little alcohol?

That's what I say. I get the goblet from the service that goes through the vicinity.

Her expression gradually brightens as she begins to sit and talk in a nearby chair. We talked enough, danced another song and broke up with her.

Returning to the Liddy's, Liddy has asked me intriguingly about Barbara's impression.

I didn't know what she meant, and I answered as I wanted.

"... I knew the head samurai would be a tough job... but it was a surprise. I didn't know Chief Samurai and Beatrice were the same age. They both look young, but the chief samurai only looked in her twenties..."

Liddy whispers in her ear as she talks about that.

"So, what do you think? Is she coming to the village?

I said, "Huh?" I raised my voice unexpectedly.

"It won't be possible. Whatever chief samurai here is coming to our village?

"You're blunt. Well, fine. I don't care if there are any more..."

Apparently, you think Barbara might fall in love with me and come to the village. But I don't think so. I've talked to her and I know, but she's a very responsible woman. I would never leave the Raswell family in the present situation.

■ ■ ■

I, Barbara Harding, have not attended a ball in ten years.

We tried to avoid being in such a place, with the title of head samurai and the presence of many young samurai. If my boss, I joined them, they wouldn't be able to stretch their feathers, I thought so.

But only today have I let you through. Because today will probably be the last ball for me.

I finished giving instructions for cleaning up the feast and in a big hurry pulled out the dress I wore a long time ago. I tried going through the sleeves, but although the size was the only one that didn't have a problem with it, it's a slightly older design and still floats from around.

It was still good. Because I didn't want to dance or talk about love.

Yes, I just wanted to see Dear Zacharias Lockhart......

But I regretted coming here.

That's not because I'm floating around or because the samurai seem annoyed, but because I saw that person's happy face.

I didn't see it when you and Mr. Beatrice came in, but I saw where you were going to be admitted with Mr. Lydiane.

Lydiane is as beautiful as a goddess (Wita) in a pure white dress. Of course, I didn't even think of it as dew compared to myself or anything, but I couldn't stop the ugly emotion of jealousy from awakening in its beauty.

And I really regretted seeing Master Zacharias smiling happily next door. I could have dreamed if I hadn't come here.

You can't even imagine looking at that face and smiling at me. So I regretted it.

Master Zacharias went straight to Mr. Beatrice. That's when I didn't realize there was rubbing going on.

I should have handled it, but I didn't realize it until Zacharias got close.

It was Jonas, the son of the Marquis Seawell family, who was implicated in Mr. Beatrice. I'm usually a boy who feels like a lot of people, but alcohol must have taken the hoop off him. I regretted that I had made Master Zacharias feel uncomfortable. If you had noticed earlier, you could have found the Seawell family and taken Master Jonas to your room.

But I still think I'll make it, and I found the Seawell family squire and gave them instructions.

"I call on His Excellency the Marquis to come here now. It's urgent."

The squire said, "Are you calling His Excellency!" And I'm surprised, and I won't try to move.

"I'm Barbara Harding, chief samurai here. Please tell me that the chief samurai wishes to come as soon as possible because an important matter of the Marquis family is happening. Come on!"

The squire heard of my position and rushed to call the Marquis.

This will probably solve it. But then, Master Zacharias will remain unpleasant. I decided to wait at the entrance where the Marquis would be able to come.

By my message, the Marquis was rushed to run.

"What happened! I heard it was important for my Seawell family."

I briefly explained the situation.

After the Marquis was held in his head, he said, "A fool of Jonas!" and was made to expose his anger.

I told the Marquis what I thought.

"To calm Sir Zacharias's anger, I suggest you use alcohol…"

At first the Marquis didn't seem to know very well either, but he quickly understood my thoughts. This person is enough to get a glimpse of the hall, so even my awkward thoughts and even tips are enough.

After that, I got nothing thanks to the Marquis.

Master Zacharias seems to have been interested in the wines of the Seawell family, so I shared my knowledge with you. "I don't know what's going to fit," he muttered at that time. I immediately asked the chef to arrange a knob.

After that I stood on the wall to be as discreet as I could, and I was looking at Master Zacharias. When the wine came out, I asked Aina to take a tray with knobs on it. If it was meant to be, it's where the payroll should carry it, but Eina also talked to Master Zacharias. I thought it would be a good idea to trigger it because she was doing so.

My thoughts seemed successful.

Master Zacharias danced with Aina, but for some reason he came to me. And they invited me to dance.

I don't really remember what happened after that.

I talked to him for a drink after dancing a song, but I'm not sure what I told him...

I had eyes with Mr. Lydiane at the end, but that one was looking at me with tender eyes for some reason.

I'm not sure why.

But for some reason, I was only certain that I felt like I could be friends with Mr. Lydiane. Even if you will not be blessed with the opportunity.
