Dream Life

Episode 57: To Investigate Candidate Places

Tria Calendar September 24, 2017.

After the workshop of Ulrich Drexler, who will strike the sword, and Georg Stoke, who will be in charge of the protective equipment, he arrived at the Blacksmith Guild headquarters, the meeting place, after 11 a.m.

Rathmore village distillation chief Scott Wishkey and Welburn blacksmith guild employee Johnny Water are mapping locations for an afternoon brewery (...) survey. Will Keegan, a squire who had already completed a meeting with the blacksmith, had also joined them.

I was tired of dealing with two blacksmiths, and I headed to the reception room where I was waiting. There's only Sharon there, and the other four still seem to be making adjustments with the blacksmiths.

She is sitting in a chair on top of each other and doesn't look like she noticed me coming in.

"The Liddies aren't there yet... they seem tired, are they okay?

He gave my voice a happy face and a smile, but not a soft smile as usual, but a slightly stiff smile.

"Excuse me. I didn't realize... yet, it seems like it's just me. I'm a little tired, but I'm fine."

And look at my face,

"Looks kind of tired though? Even Master Zach is tired of being a blacksmith."

That's what I say and laugh small. I get a grin to get caught, too.

"I'm definitely tired. You didn't think it was that hard. Beltram asks about the details, but not so much..."

After smudging and saying, "That's really right,"

"By the way, what are you going to do with Master Zach's protective equipment?

Sharon rejoices when she says I'm going to be new in dragon leather. He was heartily pleased that my protective gear would perform better. I've had major injuries before without my protective gear on, but I guess I still remember that time.

"How was Sharon?

"Looks like I'll make a new one too...... I'm a little pissed off by that. Equip yourself with something better..."

Her current gear wears the same material helmet on common leather armor that is hard processed cowhide leather, and a cape of skin that imparts magic to it. By the way, Sharon is a magician, which means he has never fought with a demon and a sword for anything other than training purposes before. Leather armor was only equipped as “insurance”.

When I hear more about it, it seems to be pretty handy.

"... you said you would stick a plate of misrills on the skin of Snake Dragon Serpent. Looks like a new helmet too. Even the rear guard said there was no point in not being able to protect against arrows and magic..."

You are indeed right in what you are saying.

When I was hunting demons in Doctus, few demons carried out long-range attacks. But things are a little different with the humans.

For his brother's wedding, on his way to Welburn, he was attacked by a mercenary dressed as a bandit, but Sharon was also under attack with a bow at that time.

I don't know how much interpersonal combat will take place, but given what lies ahead, there is no denying the possibility that Sharon or Liddy will be exposed to attacks.

(Going forward, Sharon should also be involved in the battle against what God calls “enemies”. I don't know who the enemy is, but at least it will be intelligent... if I'm the enemy, I'll go first and defeat Sharon and Liddy. Without backup fire from the two magicians, the battle would be exceptionally advantageous...)

Talking about that, Dan and Liddy came back together. The two should have had separate meetings in order to get the same craftsman to make both swords and protective equipment, but I guess they ended up coincidentally at the same time. They both look as tired as we do.

When Liddy sat beside me, he said, "I'm tired."

"I know you say thank you... I don't know what to say, but it was a real disaster. Hey, Dan. You'd think so, too."

Dan nodded loudly, "I guess I shouldn't say it," and then prefaced,

"Mr. Johann makes me try and kill him many times, and Mr. Wood tells me to climb the wall... that's all I need to know,“ How about this place? "or“ Maybe this way. "You said... it was working as I was told, but there was no sign that it would end at all..."

Johann Vilt is a blacksmith who is good at making one-handed swords. I specialize in lightweight single-handed swords, especially such as sabels.

Wood Ravengart is said to be a masterpiece of reinforcement and parts making. Both Liddy and Dan often move as scouts, so I guess the first priority is not to inhibit that move.

"I've been advised of the magic sword of Mithril. Anyway, Dan, I'm a magic archer, so I don't think I have a body..."

Originally, a bow with attributes is ideal for Liddy, but since bows are made of wood and other materials, the Dwarves of Ars hardly make them.

Most Liddy is not a bad swordsman, he is also a level swordsman who is almost as bad as Dan. So it's not in vain to have a good sword.

Johann said he was recommending the magic sword to Dan as well as Liddy, and Dan talks a little excitedly fast about whether that story will bring back inspiration.

"I was really surprised. I once let you hold Master Rod's sword, because today I let you hold the magic sword of the finished product. But it's so easy to use..."

Looks like Dan activated the magic sword in one shot.

Exactly. He didn't try and kill with a magic sword, but when he actually held the blazing sword, he felt like he was the protagonist of the story.

And even more exhausted Beatrice came in.

You don't even have the energy to talk, you stick your hips down and you stick them at the table.

I said, "So, how'd it go?," he asks, "Oh, I think I can handle it," he only answers. I guess the Dwarves were in such a mood that Beatrice lost her temper to talk.

I thought you couldn't ask me any more, and Mel came in.

The last time I came back, Mel, but only she was fine and I started talking about the workshop with pleasure.

"Both Mr. Ulrich and Mr. Gaelnote are really good people. They ask me anything. And even that..."

Apparently, they made me do a trial slaughter with the magic sword I let them use.

"The two-handed sword is really amazing! Like Master Zach's slashed armor, it didn't make a clean cut, but it cuts really well with the blue light! ……

She also activated it in one shot and seemed to rip the metal armor even more brilliantly.

Listening to Mel's excitement, I was thinking about Dan and Mel's easy use of the magic sword.

(Since I was a little girl, I've been watching Liddy teach magic. Normally you don't get to see magic training, and so what... nevertheless, it's the same two-handed sword as me, but why the color... no, I'm not saying anything anymore...)

I sighed small in my heart and listened to Mel still talking excitedly.

The Scots also finished checking the map and came to the reception room. Beatrice still stuck around, but he told me about his gear, whether he recovered a little.

"Chainmail is a misrill. I had to change my chest to something normal, so I gave him the guy I'm wearing now..."

The leather armor and chainmail I'm wearing now are also quite special shapes - the chest area is made large - so they also had trouble with the gauge notes just like that.

"... the spear is going to be a divine spear. I'm the one with the godspear... I don't know..."

Beatrice also appears to be a spear that confers fire attributes.

A divine spear is a magic spear made by the famous Oigen Hauser, which is an admirable dish for spear users. Is it still hard to believe that it's going to be your own thing, I'm still whining about bumps.

I guess even a veteran like her had never seen the actual magic sword or magic spear up close, and had never thought she would have that precious weapon or anything other than yotai tales in a liquor store.

(The more I become a veteran, I guess I care. Just because the material is a misrill or an adamantite, it's a matter of whether or not to have it once in a lifetime. If that's by the hands of a superior blacksmith, it's not strange to think you're dreaming... and yet, now everyone but Sharon will have a weapon that confers attribute magic...)

While we have lunch, we will confirm our plans for the afternoon. The short time today means I seem to have decided to go to a nearby village.

Get a description of the place from Jack Harper, an Alliance official.

"Of all the places where Master Scott and the others were listed as candidates, I wonder if a village called Tanak would be a good idea. It's about five kilometers south of the South Gate, so even if you look at the brewery, you'll be back long enough by sunset."

Tanak is a relatively small village with a population of about five hundred people at the hem of the Kelsas Mountains - the mountains on the eastern side of the Kingdom of Kaum - but it is a rich rural area that has long fed the king capital Ars. In particular, barley production flourishes, and many of the dwarves' ales and beers are produced here.

Ask Scott why he chose it.

"They're drawing water directly from Zelig, so it won't be a problem for both water quality and quantity. They can take coal nearby, so you don't have to worry about fuel. As far as I can tell, it feels climatically close to the village of Rasmore, and there seems to be no problem with aging… I didn't actually drink barley, so I can't say much, because it's quite advantageous to be close to Ars (here)"

Conditionally impeccable, such as good security due to its proximity to the Wang capital and the maintenance of streets for carrying coal and ore.

As the Scots suggested, we were to head to the village of Tanak first thing in the afternoon.

Three people, Scott, Johnny and Jack, travel by carriage, and we, Zack Sextet and Will, escort the carriage on board.

I meant to, but when I went to the courtyard at Alliance headquarters, Russell Holt and four mercenaries from the distilled liquor escort Scotch Guardians were waiting along with the carriage.

"I have a direct request from the chief craftsman. They say it's Lord Scott's (...) escort. Please say hello after tomorrow."

Ulrich showed Scott himself and asked the reputable Scotch Guardians to escort him even in Ars.

I said, "I'm sorry I'm on vacation,"

"I think we're good enough. Plus, Scott can use a sword or so. First of all, I'm only going to get to a distance where I can take a day trip, so there shouldn't be any danger..."

Scott was also trained by the vigilante when he was younger, so there's nothing he can't fight. Of course, since training has been exempt for about a decade - artisans are exempt from vigilante training - arms will be rusty, but they should still be more usable than runaway adventurers.

First of all, the area around Ars is very secure, and if we don't come off the streets big enough, we're not going to meet any big demons, and there's not going to be enough bandits out of our hands.

"Never mind. It's not your fault. Besides, I'm training till my next job anyway. It's like that bone break."

Including the Scotch Guardians, the brilliant mercenary corps always lacks training to maintain their strength. They're not as harsh as training in the village of Rasmore, but they still train pretty hard to protect the sign of a first-rate mercenary regiment. They say the period from transport to transport is only the first two days and the last day are full rest days, otherwise they are training.

Non-Russell members are scheduled to change every day, and they are laughing that this one is easier too.

"Besides, this time they're playing me a hand. There's no way we're gonna get on with such a good story."

Russell laughs when he says so. I haven't been told exactly, but they say it's more than double the daily allowance for distilled liquor scheduled flights (Scotch liners).

I have no problems at all because they are people with a known heart. Instead of having no problems, having more arms than Beatrice and being accompanied by Russell, who is also familiar with the circumstances around Ars, is of great benefit.

We had a brief meeting with Russell and the others to confirm where we were going, and there was a problem at the departure point.

Count Edgecombe, a Kaum nobleman who spoke at Alliance headquarters, showed up before us the other day.
