Dream Life

Episode 61: Determination

The night of the 30th of October, 318, Tria history.

I concluded my meeting with Katrina Brentwood, Queen of the Kingdom of Kaum. The queen strongly advised me to announce that I will marry Liddy and Beatrice at tomorrow's celebration and that I am further engaged to Mel and Sharon.

In the sense of preventing interference from imperial nobility, the Queen's proposal is satisfactory to her head. But I was worried if I could decide on the most important matter of my life: marriage for that reason.

I would have to get ready for tomorrow's celebration, but I can't concentrate on getting ready unless I get this story cleaned up for now. I decided to tell this story to Liddy and Beatrice, and I'm going back away.

I call the two of you into my room, but I can't really cut the story out. You thought it was strange that Liddy said, "What's wrong? Is there anything wrong with tomorrow's prep? I've heard."

Beatrice also says, "Say whatever we can," and comes forward.

"No, Johnny is doing his best to prepare for the celebration. It could be all night, but we'll figure it out..."

So I regain my temper.

"Your Highness, no, I received a suggestion from Mr. Kati. Me and Liddy, I'm talking about Beatrice's marriage..."

I will speak of the proposal received from the Queen. The look on their faces turns to surprise as the story progresses.

"... I'm asking you to propose to Liddy and Beatrice at the celebration tomorrow, not only that, but Mel and Sharon as well. It's too sudden to organize my mind. Besides, can I apply to Mel and the others for marriage for this reason..."

No one opened their mouth after the conversation.

The silence lasted for about a minute, but it was Liddy who broke it.

"Even if you say you're worried, you've already come to a conclusion."

I'll keep talking before I open my mouth.

"I told this story to us because my heart has already decided. Right?"

Strong shock at the words, but at the same time I knew what she was trying to say.

"If you're really lost, you're not supposed to talk to us. So be honest."

I couldn't find any words to answer.

"I don't care how it starts. Your feelings are the problem. You know how Mel and Sharon feel. Then you'll never get lost."

Liddy is staring me in the eye.

"You know how much those kids think of you."

Of course I know.

"Mel went single-handedly to that undead king. I never hated throwing my life away for me."

"That's not all. If it's for you, I'm doing you a lot of favors with some cranky blacksmiths like Ulrich and Gaelnote. Ordinary fifteen or six daughters wouldn't even like to stand in front of Dwarf's parents..."

I didn't know what it was about.

"You didn't seem to notice. Yeah, is he pretending not to notice?

"What are you talking about?" And I shrugged, "You realize about Sharon, don't you?" When I shake my head to the side, I exhale a loud sigh.

"Sharon has devised and implemented measures to protect the village for you. Call the Dwarves to this village for a festival, so that the Knights of the Kingdom can rush to the village... you realize that."

I couldn't answer that word.

Sharon was moving Johnny to work for the Blacksmith Guild. That good memory Sharon often forgot to mention it unnaturally. You thought you'd disagree if you told me.

"Those kids moved the Blacksmith Guild and the Kaum Kingdom on their own so that you wouldn't get slated so you wouldn't be sad. You'll see how hard it is."

Calling the chief craftsman to the village, who usually never leaves Ars. And the holding of big festivals, the opening of training institutes, the establishment of a rescue system… Common sense would not even think that none of that would be feasible. We have accomplished that in just six months. It is easy to see that I was not prepared to be half-baked.

Liddy pointed to Beatrice,

So is Beatrice.

"I'm nothing..." Beatrice says,

"This kid was hearing the grievances of the vigilante kids on behalf of the Lockhart family. I was subtly telling Govi and Walt that..."

I knew Beatrice had participated in the vigilante launch every now and then. Beautiful with her sister's skin, she is popular from young vigilantes to veterans.

In fact, even in this defensive battle, the troops she leads are more active than any other. I guess that's because I was intoxicated by her, the commander.

"The Lockhart family is amazing, with Govi at the head. But, you know, few people get along well with people in the village. About Hector, what the villagers can say without fear. That Hector's been going to the woods a lot. They were all dissatisfied..."

In addition to six Rockhart family squires, Walt Vassel, Nicholas Garland, Hector Marron, Guy Jakes, Byron Seedorf and Will Keegan, the Rockhart family will be made up of three gorgeous men: Enos Vassel, Sim Marron and Dan Jakes.

Of these, Walt, Byron, and Guy don't have an atmosphere of cheerful voice on the strong side, and Nicholas is serious in character and hard to say stupid. Enos and Sim are each deputy to their father and brother, and Dan has less contact with the villagers because he's often with us. Will is from a vigilante, and there's something hard to say.

Hector has long served as a compiler of vigilantes to absorb grievances and grievances, but he hasn't been able to attend much of the vigilante's drinks because of more reconnaissance in the eastern woods.

The older age of the other predominantly squire members and the fact that they became the parent generation of the vigilantes would also be a factor in their inability to communicate.

With such a Lockhart family, Beatrice is in a relatively free position. He came to the village with a flurry of my fiancée, but sometimes he has a long adventurer life and is good at communicating with the young guys. I guess the vigilante also thinks Beatrice, who has no back cover and a lavish personality, would laugh at me for saying some dissatisfaction.

"I know Beatrice is suggesting a lot to my uncles..."

"All three of you are working hard to help you. Do we still have to get lost?"

"Oh, it's such a waste to me..."

My heart is set.

"You're right about Liddy. Thanks."

Having said that, I reconsider whether I can proceed with my marriage in the present situation, where I have not even gone to greet the families of Liddy and Beatrice.

"Mel and Sharon have family nearby, but what if they don't say anything to Liddy's family?

Liddy has changed by hitting him from a serious look, waving his hands flat in the usual condition, and saying he has no problem.

"I don't care about that. I'm sure you'll bless me, even after you can afford it one of these days. Because elves are long minded about things like that. Same thing with Beatrice, right?

"Oh, I've been running away from the village, too. I don't have a father or mother anymore, and now I'm not talking to my brother. But it's too sudden to follow my head."

"It's definitely too steep. I know that...... you two are fine. To marry me."

That's what I said and got up. And kneel before Liddy.

"I want you to marry me. Give me a piece of your life."

Liddy, who spoke so eloquently until earlier, the answer was hard to come back to. The scene and the quiet living room echo the trembling voice of Liddy.

"Thanks...... I used to get the same thing said over a decade ago...... I'm really happy. I'll give you everything in my life."

After that, he hugged me. After hugging her for a while, she looks like a crying laugh.

"I'm sorry if I'm all monopolized. Beatrice's turn next."

After mouthing Liddy, stand in front of Beatrice with her eyes round. kneel just like earlier after letting her stand,

"I want you to marry me. Will you stay next to me?"

Taking Beatrice's hand, the hand was shaking slightly. When I look up slowly, there is a glimmer of tears coming out of the long cut eyes.

"I'll be fine, won't I? Really such a ratty woman... next to you... happy..."

He growls cuttingly loving, gets up and hugs him.

"Keep up the good work"

When I said that, he buried his face on my shoulder and started crying.

"Beatrice cries like that, too," Liddy teases, "but she says," From now on, we're family, so we can show our weaknesses, "and hugs her from behind.

Beatrice also regains her composure after staying put for a while.

"You've made me look silly," he laughs, but quickly squeezes his expression.

"You talk to Mel and Sharon. Then you shouldn't talk about it now. I feel sorry for you if it doesn't mean you made your own decision."

"Oh, of course, I'm going to. I was just gonna talk to the two of you."

Then he went to the living room and called Mel and Sharon, and Dan.

First, tell her I'm marrying Liddy and the others at tomorrow's celebration. The three said, "Congratulations!" He blessed me with a voice.

After receiving three blessings, let Mel and Sharon sit in the front.

"We both need to talk," he cuts out, but that next word is hard to come up with. I manage to squeeze out words with Liddy sitting next to me poking me with her elbow.

"Mel, Sharon. I want you to marry me."

After I say that and bow my head, I stare at them both.

Mel can't believe my words, he originally opened his big eyes all over the place and lost his words. Though Sharon on the other side has an incredible look on her face, she has something to say.

Ignore Sharon's expression and move on.

"Even so, I'm not talking about right away. I'd like to report to the Ulrich that we're both engaged at tomorrow's celebration. Of course, this is such a sudden thing. If you can't sort out how you two feel, you can put it off first."

Mel has a bright red face, shaking her neck wide left and right. If you snort, including what you mean by knowing, you keep talking.

"Besides, I haven't even told my father or Hector yet. I don't expect them to disagree, but they might say it's too steep"

As soon as I finished talking, Mel stood up. You're just speechless. I was just moving my mouth painfully. Sharon opened his mouth instead. She also dyed her face red and began to talk as she searched for words.

"Hey, I don't know what to say...... but I'm happy! I think Mel's with you. Yeah, I'm with you!

Sharon's words finally made Mel's mouth profitable, too.

"Ho, are you sure! Really..."

I'll get up and go beside the two of you. And first I held Mel tight.

"I think I made you wait a long time...... let me say it again. Be my wife."

Mel clung to my chest and started crying woefully. I have said "yes" many times while crying. Seeing you like this really made me think of you all the way through, makes me cry zero. I finally regained my composure when I held him tight for a few minutes.

"Because Sharon's still here," he nods in his ear, "Yes," and apologizes to Sharon, "I'm sorry.

After leaving Mel, Sharon next door held him in the same tight,

"Thank you always for me. From now on, I want you to support me as my wife."

Sharon turned bright red and couldn't say anything. She's still only a sixteen-year-old girl, even though she seems to be an adult.

"Thank you…" he replied in a mosquito-like voice, and now he has finished proposing to both of us.

But there's still something left to do. Yes, it's about Dan.

Dan watched Mel sob gently, but he still had a lonely look on his face from time to time as to whether he had any remnants of heart.

I should have proposed without him, but I thought I needed a bully against Dan, who had been watching over her for over a decade, and I proposed in front of him.

"I think I've done something cruel. But I don't apologize."

Dan says "yes... no..." and is desperately shaking his head to the side. I don't care.

"Mel will always be happy. So make yourself happy, too. I don't think I can change my mind right away... I don't know what to say..."

Dan stood up and took my hand and said, "I'll ask you about Mel. I also said about my sister..." I lowered my head a lot.

And with a crying smile on his face,

"I'll look for someone nice, too. I don't think the four of us can do it, like Master Zach."

When I said that, I said to Mel, "Congratulations. You finally have a dream come true," I congratulate you.

When Mel returned "Thank you," he said, "I'm going to hit the outside wind a little bit," and left the living room.

"Dan's a good guy, too," Beatrice said, and Liddy said, "Oh, it's been a long time. Better than Zach," he laughs.

"Sure," he replied, thinking about Dan.

(I've scattered my first love for such an honest and good guy... I feel bad, but I can't give this all away... Now if you peel me off, I'll be a really good man. Not Liddy, but to a guy who can't compare me to anything...)

After dropping off Dan, we'll talk about the future where Mel and Sharon settle down.

"I'm going to go talk to Father, Hector and Guys now. But before I do, I want you to hear my thoughts."

Not only the two of us, but the Liddies, correct their residence.

"Liddy and Beatrice and I are getting married tomorrow. I officially asked a cleric from the temple of God of Man (Wita) to come, but I think the essence is tomorrow, when I proclaim it before the Ulrich..."

The four are nodding the same way.

"... Mel and Sharon are just engaged for now. Sometimes all of a sudden, because as far as I'm concerned, I think it's better when I'm a little older..."

When Liddy said, "Are you still going to make me wait? How long are you going to keep me waiting," he says.

"About a year and a half. I'd really like to wait until the two of you are twenty, but that would make them wait too long."

Beatrice said, "Why are you holding me to twenty? ♪ 'Cause I've heard ♪

"It's a risk when you have kids. Pregnancy in teens is risky. Well, with me and Liddy, I think we can work this out..."

Mel and Sharon turn red again on the word pregnancy.

"Oh, isn't it normal for the seventeen or eight daughters Ko to have children? If she's an early child, she'll have about fifteen. There are a lot of people in this village, but I don't think there's any particular problem?

Beatrice is also nodding at Liddy's words. By the way, Mel and Sharon remain leaning over with a bright red face.

"Sure, you're right, but that's what the world I was in should have talked about. He said it was risky to give birth by the time the body was fully capable of doing so. I can't remember much either, but I want to reduce the risk a little bit. Plus, it's got to be a bummer the last year or so."

"Really? I thought this fight would calm me down."

Liddy is nodding at Beatrice's words.

"Probably, but we have to go to the Imperial City once. If that happens, it will be about a year in no time. Then next spring, when the season improves, I wonder if we can celebrate it with a grand..."

It's not the Queen's point, but Lockhart's name was too much in this battle. And my name, of course.

The Empire is more than a thousand kilometers away from here. If I were to go, it would take two months just one way. You won't be able to go home soon after you've done your errands.

If you behave badly, you'll get your hands on both the Crown Prince and the Leopold Prince. A month or two goes by quickly if we try to act cautiously. Plus I could go to the Marquis of Seawell's territory or stop by Borderline Uncle. I think it would be reasonable to look at it for about a year.

"What's that kid, Luna, going to do? You can't just leave me here."

"I'm going to take you. It's safer to act with us than to be here. Plus, it makes me feel better. I think I'd rather show them somewhere else than stay in this village where the fighting took place."

There is no doubt that my father will go to the Imperial Capital, but I also believe that the squire who was the Lord needs to go. If the Rockhart family becomes the Viscount's, as the Queen says, it is likely that the squire will also be assigned to the Knight. In that case, it will be necessary for the principals or the men to go, and the power of the village of Rasmore will be greatly reduced.

My grandfather and Walt would stay if it was about the normal demon, and if I commanded the vigilante, it wouldn't be a problem, but it would be too dangerous in case a force came after Luna like this one. This means for Luna and for the village.

"Back to the story, I want the wedding to wait until next spring again. Mel, Sharon, I'm sorry to keep you waiting, but please."

"I'm fine. Because you don't have to do it anymore."

When Mel answered that, Sharon nodded, too,

"Me too. Besides, if it's next spring, I'm eighteen, too. It should be a little bigger..."

That's what I was saying. I was looking right at my chest. He's sixteen, but he feels in the complex that he still leaves a strong shadow of the girl.

When we finished the conversation, the five of us headed to the mansion.

Reporting to my father and mother, they both blessed me, although I was surprised by the sudden story.

My mother says "Congratulations, Zach" and hugs me. My father rests his hand on my shoulder, held tight, and congratulations,

"And can all four have stepdaughters? That's older too......" he muttered.

The words went into Liddy's ear and said, "Oh, I wonder if I'm dissatisfied." My father-in-law, "he said.

Liddy laughed and we laughed the same way as my father was getting all twisted up.

He was then reported and blessed to his grandfathers and brothers.

He went to greet Mel's parents, Hector and Polly, and Sharon's parents, Guy and Claire.

"I'll ask for my daughter," Hector said with a full grin after bowing his head to me. "Good for you. Dreams come true," he said, stroking Mel's head.

When I greeted the Guys, after they bowed their heads in the same way, Guy said, "Keep a good grip on this kid's reins".

"No, it would normally be the other way around. Wouldn't my wife hold my husband's reins?

Saying so, Guy shakes his head "Wearing" with a serious look.

"This kid, when it comes to Master Zach, doesn't know what he's going to do. I was always worried that I wouldn't bother you..."

Guy seemed too good to be critical of his daughter's behavior.

"I'm fine. Sharon is well distinguished. I'll never do anything you shouldn't do."

I push my heartbeat like that, but I'm not too convinced.

"Okay. I'll take care of Sharon. Never let something unscrupulous happen. I swear."

When I finished greeting both my parents, it was already late at night. But now my heart is somewhat lighter when I think I can finally calm down.

Still, I'm ready for tomorrow, and I still have the help of Sir Elwes and Johnny, but I'll still be able to make some time to slow down.

That's what I thought, but my mother called me in before I went to get ready for the celebration. Not only me, but Liddy and the others.

As soon as we got together, my mother stood up.

"Are you ready to wear clothes tomorrow? Both Lydia and Beatrice have the dress they wore at Rod's reception. I know yours is fine, but Mel, Sharon, your dresses must have a rework. Bring it right away. And call Polly and Claire. We have to fix it by tomorrow morning."

Everyone solidifies into that momentum.

"What are you doing! We don't have time for this!... I don't have time to relax!

All ran out in unison to my mother's sword screen. I laugh face-to-face as I run.

I thought once again that the battle to prepare for death was really over.
