Dream Life

Lesson 70: The Senate

Tria history around 1: 00 pm on November 5, 2018.

A single horseman arrived in Plymouth, the imperial capital of the Caerm Empire.

The Chancellor, the Duke of Irving Feelobisher, decided to receive a report directly from the decree after hearing the outline from the secretary.

The decree is a young knight, and I am nervous that I will report directly to the Prime Minister.

"So, in the northeastern Empire, Lo, and Lord Lockhart's territory, the demonic armies, predominantly undead, did, and invaded. That number is over 10,000. The Royal Kaum Army, one thousand and five hundred, has followed the agreement and set out."

"Thank you. How reliable is that information?

There was no rush to the Chancellor at all, and he questioned the decree with a calm voice. The decree was an assumed question, but stared into the gray sharp eye and had no words.

"Who reported the information. I'm asking you that."

The decree said, "And I beg your pardon," and I bowed my head greatly,

"(b) We have obtained at Ars the information communicated by the servants of the Lockhart family to the generals of the Knights of Black Steel of the Kingdom of Kaum. It also adds information by the Adventurer Guild. It will be the official announcement of the government of the Kingdom of Kaum."

"This will be the official document," the secretary hands over a sealed seal with wax.

The Prime Minister will check the document.

(He said he went out to defend the Blacksmith Guild facility. But if the undead is more than 10,000... it won't last half a day in a border village. For example, the Ars Street will be overflowing with undead. This is a wild thing...)

Furthermore, in addition to the first report communicated by Sim Marron, a servant of the Lockhart family, to the Black Steel Knights of Barbezy, the second report, confirmed by the Adventurer Guild of Kilnarek, was also attached to the document, which appeared to have a very high degree of certainty of information.

"Thank you for your hard work," the Chancellor said, leaving the decree. Immediately thereafter, give instructions to the young civilian.

"Convene the Senate immediately. The agenda is a discussion on how to respond to the demonic invasion and punish Luke."

When the clerk left in a gracious manner, he told the secretary "to give his report to His Majesty" and made his way to the rear palace early enough.

Emperor Siegfried XXI had deposited himself in the side chamber of a relaxed sofa and abundant limbs in the rear palace, tilting a glass of red wine.

The prime minister came in there, so he blushes.

"Today would be a day when there is no government. Don't interrupt the rest of the little pleasures."

The Chancellor bows his head to the words, "I'm sorry,"

"It's an emergency. Demonic armies have emerged near the northern border of the Kaum Kingdom."

Still, the emperor says, "The people of Kaum will do something about it" and puts his mouth on the glass.

"This time it is an invasion of our national territory. In addition, the enemy is more than 10,000 large armies dominated by the undead, which could cause havoc on the streets of Ars."

The emperor said annoyingly, "I'll leave it to that one. Measure well," he said, waving to get rid of the dog.

The prime minister left the rear palace saying, "A small job will handle it responsibly".

(His Majesty's words were taken. This is not a matter of contending for a moment. not to be used as an instrument of political strife)

The Chancellor turned to the Senate, whining so in his heart.

3pm.

The Senate had already gathered the heavy towns of the Empire known as the Elders. That number is twelve. I sat at the round table and waited chatting about the arrival of the Chancellor.

The key members are Grand Duke Tristram Langton, brother of the former Emperor; Duke Charles Ingolslop, real brother of the current Empress; Duke Edmond Gabiston, father of the righteous queen of Crown Prince Gigismund; Duke Lawrence Kendrew, head of the Fifth Legion; and Duke Alexis Ezarrington, head of the Fourth Legion.

When the Chancellor got to his seat, the Grand Duke of Langton cut the fire. He was called up where he was about to have a rotten moment with his favorite young secretary - a beautiful man in his mid-twenties - and he's not even trying to hide his grump.

"I heard it was an urgent matter, but not to the extent that the Demons invaded Kaum."

"If it's a normal invasion, we don't call small jobs in this way."

The Chancellor began to speak the spirit of the convocation with a cold voice.

"The spearhead of this invasion is not Fort Toa. It was done against the territory of the Empire, albeit on the border. The name of the land is the village of Rasmore, knight of Lockhart. More than 10,000 undead attacked the village of Rasmore…"

Few were able to react to the unique nomenclature of the village of Rasmore, Lockhart territory, but the elders are stunned by the scale of more than 10,000 undead.

"He said it was over 10,000! Isn't that a false alarm?"

Lord Kendrew pinched his mouth at the Chancellor's explanation. The Chancellor, who was to be stopped from speaking, answers that without worrying.

"The official announcement of the Kingdom of Kaum and the information on the Adventurer's Guild are aligned. In fact, Kaum is sending out a rescue force with that information. I am convinced that the small job is not a false alarm"

Everyone silenced on the words.

"Then let me continue. The Kingdom of Kaum is advancing the Black Steel Knights' One Thousand and Five Hundred for the Rockhart family rescue under an agreement it concluded in July. Oh, by the way, some of you may have forgotten, so let me explain the Lockhart family and the village of Rasmore..."

The Chancellor tells him that the Lockhart family is the producer of the scotch distilled liquor and that the village of Rasmore is the only distilled liquor producer in the world, plus a training institute for the Blacksmith Guild.

"As you know about Scotch, it's a booze that the Dwarves change the color of their eyes. Liquor that caused Santini, the former Archbishop of Light Divinity, to lose his legs. Perhaps all the Dwarves who have heard this information will be headed for the village of Rasmore."

Scotch's story reminded everyone of the Lockhart family and the village of Rasmore.

I hear the Duke of Ezarrington talking to himself, "Wasn't it where the Dwarves had the big banquet?

"Exactly. It took place in the spring and they call it the" Dwarf Festival ”. The blacksmiths of Teito are also participating."

"Okay, but what about the other agenda, the punitive march to Luke?"

Lord Ingolslop tells him he looks grumpy. He was only interested in that agenda because his commercial guild had requested an early withdrawal from Lukes.

"That also has something to do with this story. I'd like you to talk a little bit about your little job now."

The Chancellor said yes, we started talking again.

"The undead is more than 10,000. The power of the Lockhart family is about two hundred people, even if they let villagers in. Probably will be flooded with Als streets in a matter of hours...... and the important thing is that they have crossed Aquila. I mean, I have to say it has something to do with the Demons. Perhaps you will receive a rescue request from Kaum sooner or later…"

The Chancellor explained to over 10,000 undead that he could not fathom in the Lockhart family with only a few squires, and that the Ars streets would overflow with undead, creating havoc. That being the case, he affirmed that under the agreement against the Demons, requests for rescue would be made not only to the Empire, but also to Periclitle and Fortis, the United Kingdom of Lax Sartous and the Holy King of Lukes.

"You can't keep marching to Lukes in this situation. It's a small job proposition that we should look at retreating."

Heard of a retreat from Lukes, Grand Duke Langton and Lord Kendrew, hard-liners and Leopold princes against Lukes, spoke out against him.

"Luke has conspired against our empire. If we stop it to this extent, they'll go up even further."

"If it's about 10,000 undead, you can send an army. To that extent, I don't feel the need to withdraw them."

Lord Kendrew's analysis of his power is not out of focus. One legion of the Imperial Army is a powerful force of 20,000 professional soldiers. Because the cavalry is the main force, I don't like siege battles, but I am told that they are doomed to the field, and that if the Royal Lax Army is equal in number with their opponents, they can fight more than one another against double their power.

This time the opponent is undead, which naturally makes it a field fight. It's no surprise they say it's excessive power to hit an army against an undead of about 10,000.

But that's only a purely military view.

"The agreement against the Demons is that the western countries of Aquila will unite to hit the Demons. Among them is the text of an immediate ceasefire, even in a state of war. You can't just ignore that."

Lord Ingolslop agrees with the Prime Minister's words.

"You did have a text like that. You should withdraw from Luke immediately."

The grump from earlier has disappeared beautifully.

"But. There will be no proof that the undead are demons. I don't remember the demons using the undead. There's no need for a truce without a request from Kaum."

Lord Gabiston disagrees with that word.

"There's no proof that I'm not a demon. Besides, the destination of this invasion is imperial territory. Wouldn't the Kaum kingdom be able to make a rescue request?"

Lord Ingolslop synchronizes with the word.

"But it's imperial territory, even though it's a periphery. If our country doesn't take the initiative, it will be a pot for the demons."

Lord Gabiston and Lord Ingolslop are two of the heaviest towns of the Crown Prince and fear that Prince Leopold, who is marching to Lukes, will raise his hand. As things stand, we have not raised any major handles, and we wanted to have them withdrawn as soon as possible.

They also have a strong relationship with commercial guilds together.

Commercial guilds believe that the country itself will collapse if the Holy King Luke takes decisive damage, and then they have a sense of crisis that it's their turn. This time, however, we have to condemn Luke, who has only been able to provide minimal support informally. The Alliance was grasping the information that Lukes was the limit and didn't want any more fighting to continue.

Meanwhile, Grand Duke Langton and Lord Kendrew were Leopold princesses and were looking to abolish the Crown Prince, who had no reputation for this expedition. But Luke's resistance was stronger than I thought, and I was in a hurry for Prince Leopold to be struggling. Withdrawal in the present state would be tantamount to defeat and would give the Crown Prince a gap to enter.

The Chancellor, Lord Feelobisher, did not belong to any faction, but he understood exactly what the two factions thought. But he didn't think he could leave the demonic invasion unattended.

(Undead is bad in the end. We don't need food, and killing our residents will increase our power...)

And I see it as a certainty that the undead will cross the village of Rasmore and move on to Als Street. On top of that, he thought it was dangerous in either direction.

If you head north, if Periclitle and surrounding towns and villages are ravaged, the undead's power of war will be superior to 100,000. There are numerous adventurers in PericLittle, but his ability as a One Warrior questioned his ability as an army of things to evaluate.

(A well-armed adventurer can not always be a good soldier. First, we don't have a commander to lead. There is no way that such an army could contain the army of the undead without fear of death. Non is a civilian, but I know the extent of it. Probably swallowed by the waves of the undead, that neighborhood would turn into a land of death...... you can head north, but if you head west, northern Empire. It's no surprise that the northern part of the Empire would be destroyed if they crossed the Fatas River in a situation where most of the northern governor's office armies are not...)

I was also thinking about the further south.

(It would be nice if Kaum buried the undead in the first war, but even the Wang Du would be in danger if Tatsuko folded. Blocking the streets somewhere will buy you time, but abandoning a friendly country is too diplomatically bad to listen......)

Lord Feelobisher remained silent while the Crown Prince and the Crown Prince exchanged fierce arguments. Because I didn't get my thoughts together and I wanted to take it to a constructive discussion after both gas drains.

Lord Ezarrington, who had been silent until now, asked to speak. The Prime Minister nods at it and allows himself to speak.

"There's too little information right now. I ask His Royal Highness Leopold to proceed with preparations for his withdrawal from Luke, and here we proceed in parallel with preparations for his troop deployment to Kaum. Why don't we wait for the rest of the story?"

In contrast, opposite voices rose from both factions.

Since the Crown Prince is unlikely that the Kingdom of Kaum will stop the Demons alone, it is hoped that they should withdraw immediately rather than prep, and the Crown Prince disagrees that the possibility of withdrawing, albeit prep, involves morale when it is passed on to soldiers.

Lord Ezarrington said against the Crown Prince,

"Luke's withdrawal will not affect the Demons if they prepare in the Imperial Capital. Even when it comes to immediate withdrawal, it takes ten days for that many troops to move. In the meantime, new information should come in."

and said, to the princely,

"There's nothing wrong with telling the soldiers it's preparation for a massive invasion operation. You just need to be thorough with Your Highness to that effect.

I argue with you.

The Chancellor thought this neighborhood would be about to drop,

"Lord Ezarrington's idea would be the most realistic. As for the Senate, we shall follow this policy."

"We should adopt a majority vote," Grand Duke Langton pressed.

"I have already prayed for my life that I would be entrusted to a small position by His Majesty. Furthermore, Lord Etherlington is right, I was wondering if there is too little information now. I don't think we have to vote on this level of policy."

The Grand Duke also had to back off because it was not an immediate withdrawal.

When the meeting ended and he left the Senate, Lord Etherlington was waiting.

"May I join you?"

"Sure, I don't mind."

That's what I say and get in the carriage.

As he enters the carriage, the Chancellor gently bows his head to Lord Ezarrington, "I was helped earlier".

In contrast, Lord Ezzarington smiles "in no big deal". They were both called neutrals and comrades who were serious about the end of the empire.

"A commercial guild might work on this one. Let Clement keep an eye on you, but I want Lord Alexis to keep the army in check. Grand Duke Langton doesn't mean Lord Kendrew can't go wild."

Lord Ezarrington replies, "I accept," but questions the Marquis Clement Seawell's surveillance of the commercial guild.

"Didn't the Seawell Marquis have much contact with the commercial guild?

"You don't even know the early-eared Lord Alexis," the Chancellor smiles.

"Clement seems to invest in selling Seawell wines. I told you I'd negotiate with a glassmaker."

Lord Ezarrington raised his voice as if he was impressed with the "ho,"

"Give me that wine. With that said, I heard rumors that Radford was having some kind of exchange of information with the Lockhart family, is that part of it?

"That's just great. Did you already know that," the Chancellor laughed,

"I wonder if you know of any dishes that have been popular lately. It's a cold treat called" gelato. "I bought that from the Lockhart family, too. Well, that would be like a pastime. They say that fate is to improve the quality of wine. I would have drunk that too. Give me that special wine. That was a hand in the village of Rasmore."

"On such a periphery......" he exclaims.

"That was a great wine. But it's called distilled liquor, it's called wine, and there's a lot of mystery in Lockhart."

"Don't you remember that your second son of the Lockhart family graduated at the head of the School of Magic? I think he did say Zacharias or something, but do you know what his people are called by the Dwarves?"

"No. In an oligarchy," he shook his head sideways.

They call him "the son of a liquor god." Fifteen or six children still have a glimpse at those dwarves with booze. You're a terrible genius. "

Lord Ezarrington once again exclaims, "Dwarves glance at it with booze…" but his expression soon sinks.

"You're going to lose that genius. You're going to hear the Dwarves cry."

"Ri. Lockhart is heard to be a martial artist. If he is the second son, he will never abandon the Territory and flee. It's a shame."

The two perceptions were unanimous in that the village of Rasmore could not possibly hold up.
