Dream Life

Episode XXIV: To Seawell

January 25th.

Last night's banquet with the Blacksmith Guild was over safely and we always had the morning as usual.

There was some alcohol left in the young squire and vigilantes, but sweating in the morning training has brought everyone back to normal.

(If you let Dwarf and I drink, the Lockhart family might be the best in the world. If it was normal, it wouldn't be weird for a dead person to come out, and at least half of them should be unable to move with a terrible hangover...)

Sometimes I'm most used to banqueting with the Dwarves, but I also think that the detoxification magic between me and Liddy works more than that.

Leaving Ezarrington today, it will be more than double the size of the Lockhart family alone, as it will be accompanied from here by Marquis Seawell and Lawrencia and Primrose, the Duke of Ezarrington warrant lady.

The Ezarrington family is accompanied by ten samurai as caregivers of the ladies and divided into three carriages. In addition, two platoons of forty knights have hit the escort from the Knights of Ezarrington, a private soldier of the Duke of Ezarrington family.

The Knights of Ezarrington are a relatively large knighthood of a total of two thousand, hitting the maintenance of law and order in the Duke's territory. It is not to be taken as a public or private confusion that we do not escort from the Fourth Legion.

The Seawell family also has as many as twenty knights of escort in the carriage, and when the Lockhart family is combined, it becomes a large group of more than a hundred.

There will be more than eighty escorts alone, but Langton Avenue from Ezarrington to Seawell is an important street that runs through the eastern side of the Wale Peninsula in the southern part of the Empire and is safe. A lot of escorts simply fit the format and you don't actually need that much.

There is a carriage available for the Ezzarington family, but the Lawrencians were supposed to take the Lockhart family carriage. Sometimes this is to appeal to the friendliness of me and the ladies, but more than that, it's a big deal that the two of us liked our carriage.

Yesterday, as I headed to the Ezarrington branch of the Blacksmith Guild, I was in the Rockhart family carriage and was thrilled with the low vibrations and transparent windows.

"It's a great carriage! This will not tire you from your journey, and you can enjoy the scenery outside. I've never even seen it in Imperial City, but where can I get it?

"I have not sold this carriage anywhere because it was modified by me"

Look me straight in the eye after being disappointed when I say so.

"Then you should ask Sir Zacharias."

They say it with the eyesight of a raptor after his prey, but no one's carriage is willing to modify it. I'm the only one who doesn't modify other carriages, because I thought I could make senior nobles modify carriages in the capital.

Suspension and windows by plate springs may be good, but the production method of tyres using demonic leather is my original and I am likely to be persistently asked about the manufacturing method.

"I don't have all the ingredients and it's all my manual, so it takes a while to remodel. I'm very sorry, but it doesn't accompany your request."

Laurencia is depressed again, but she immediately returns, "Well, if you want to join me, you'll have no problem giving me a ride."

I can't decide on my own, so I talk to my father, and he says, "You have no choice. Let's get you two on board," I had to admit.

The problem here is Luna's presence.

The carriage has a capacity of six, mother and youngest sister Sofia, and even with Luna on board, there are three vacancies. For that reason, I don't have a quorum problem with the two ladies aboard, but I don't want to put Luna in much contact with anyone other than the Lockhart family officials.

I accompany you as a samurai for once, but my mother's response is not to the samurai. For this reason, it is possible to be prudent about identity, but naturally it cannot be true, and since she is not a formal adopted daughter, it is a subtle explanation.

I had no choice, so I decided to put it on Mel or Sharon's horse.

Mid-winter means the wind is cold, but it is not unbearable because it is the southern part of the temperate climate, and the weather has been stable in the last few days, he said.

You won't be used to riding horses for long, but you'll be just fine for a distraction.

Not as a substitute, but I'm supposed to be in the carriage, troublesome, but I'm supposed to keep dealing with Laurencia.

Dropped off by Lord Etherlington and leaving the castle. A knight flying the flag of the Duke of Ezarrington family leads the way through the city.

Many people stand and speak along the road because they already know the Laurentians will accompany them.

Not only is the city of Ezarrington penetrated by central streets to the north and south, but it is also the cornerstone of Langton Avenue heading southeast. For this reason, a bridge for Langton Street is crossed on the south side of the city in addition to the bridge for Central Street. In other words, there are two giant bridges hanging on the south side.

This is to make it easier to accept reinforcements from the southern imperial capital while assuming attacks from the north and evacuating the citizens of Ezarrington.

We cross the bridge for Langton Avenue.

The examination is on both banks of the Fannell River, but none of it stops, and proceeds as it were. Because the Duke of Etherlington family is talking ahead of time.

There was a beautiful countryside stretching across the river. Fields of winter sown wheat and root vegetables, pastures where cattle and sheep eat grass continue, midwinter yet lush in greenery. I think I got a glimpse of why the Caerm Empire is said to be the largest nation in the world.

"It's a really rich land," I tell the Lawrencians, but the two of them are slightly inclined.

"Really? That nothing else is the same?

Because of the incongruity of the conversation, if you ask me in detail, the two are boxed daughters, and I've hardly been anywhere else besides Ezarrington and Imperial Primes. That's why they were looking forward to this trip to the Marquis of Seawell.

"Does Master Zacharias tour many different lands?

Primrose has asked,

"Not so much. Except for this trip to the imperial capital, it's about Welburn in the northern part of the empire and the academic city of Doctus, the city of Adventurers, Periclitle, and Ars, the king capital of the Kingdom of Kaum. We want to see a lot more land."

"That's all I envy. I'd love to hear a lot about you on this trip."

"Whatever you want with my story. But I'd like to hear about Imperial Capital, too. I'm particularly interested in talking about academia."

When I talk, Laurencia laughs nicely, "Of course I do," she said. I don't know why, but the provocative feeling when we first met is gone.

Langton Avenue leads through the countryside and into the hills. From what I hear, the altitude rises slightly while similar hilly areas continue up to the Marquis of Seawell.

We took a few breaks along the way and each time we checked on Luna, but there were no particular problems. Even if we talk to Mel riding horses together,

"I was trying to have fun. He was mumbling a song I didn't know about."

I also ask Luna, "Isn't it cold," but she answers clearly, "I'm fine". It's not even hose therapy, but horseback riding seems like a good distraction.

Behave the Laurentians and the Seawell Marquis during the break with cookies and other baked treats brought from the village with the magic of the pseudo-perche effect.

"This is good! Ignacious said I would not feel tired traveling with you, but it's true."

Marquis Seawell was laughing contentedly with a warm herbal tea.

"I really am. I can't believe we're getting all this stuff ready in no time. It's like you're enjoying your tea at the salon."

Stopping by for a break, the town also has a place like a dining room, but it doesn't have the kind of fancy drinks that the Duke's Ladies drink.

Because of this, they usually say the samurai prepare them, but they often put up with the cold tea in the water bottle because they need to start where they boil the water if they want to have tea.

By the way, we start where the water boils because we're wary of poisoning. Am I trusted or not poisoned?

(With that said, was the Alliance banquet okay yesterday?

I was curious to hear about it.

"I, Me, asked you to add me. You can't be rude like that."

I was just a little surprised that the common sense answer came back more than I thought, but my impression of her improved.

The first day proceeded for about forty kilometers and we were to stay in the lodging town on the Duke of Ezarrington territory. When you arrive in town, a knight is already waiting for you like a deputy, and you will be greeted.

I would stay at the best inn in town, but it was so sweet at night that Liddy said she didn't have time to talk during the day, especially after everything.

The next day is also blessed with sunny weather, taking the streets east at a slow pace.

Talk about elevation going up, but so little felt in appearance that there was no significant change in the landscape.

If you insist, there will be more vineyards. However, it is not known whether it is a white grape for white wine or a black grape for red wine because it is not only fruitless but also has no leaves.

I asked Laurencia because I don't think she's in Marquis Seawell territory yet, but I don't know the exact geography.

"Is this area also Duke of Ezarrington territory?

"It's your father's property until today."

He taught me that in a smile. To hear more, they have a hundred kilometers east and west and about fifty kilometers north and south. However, not all of them are Duke lands, as some of them are Viscount and Baron territories under Lord Ezarrington's command.

I asked Lord Seawell about the vineyards during the break.

"Is this area a white grape?

"You're right. The Duke of Ezarrington makes a lot of white wine for the Imperial City. Vineyards are spreading north of here."

The territory of the Duke of Ezarrington faces the sea and is famous for its seafood cuisine. There are other dishes made with pigs, but the proximity of Imperial Primus to the sea also means that there is a lot of demand for white wine, and the Duke of Ezarrington's territory has long seen the brewing of white wine flourish.

"My Seawell wine rivalry is low and helpful. I think I can make some red wine around here."

I meditate on one eye with Patchouli where I said that.

"I ask Lord Alexis to keep this a secret. My income will be reduced by half if the man, Lord Alexis, starts making even red wine."

I made a serious look, and I said, "I can't promise you that,"

"I made a promise to His Excellency the Duke. to help improve the quality of liquor in the territory of Ezarrington."

"This is fucked! I said unwanted things to the son of the god of alcohol!

Marquis Seawell mourns with great admiration, but me and the Marquis are just playing.

"Jokes aside, we should aim to improve the quality of white wine in Ezarrington territory"

"Why? If Seawell wines succeed, I think it would be more profitable to make red wines even in Etherlington, where the territory is adjacent?

"That's right. Clement, I'm sorry for my little father, but I think I should make red wine too."

Even though I was talking about booze, I even joined the story to Laurencia.

That's when Sharon was just there, so I said, "What do you think of Sharon?" I tried to shake the story.

"Yes, I agree with you, Zach."

"Why? ♪ And when I hear more ♪

"White vine trees have already been planted in places suitable for growing grapes in Ezarrington territory. It should take years from now to plant black grape trees but be able to harvest them. So why not improve the quality of white wine and establish the brand image of Ezarrington as white wine?"

complimented Sharon on's opinion by saying "You're full,"

"As she said, Ezarrington has the image of white wine, so you should take advantage of this.“ Ezarrington is white, and Seawell is red, which should be more beneficial in future sales strategies. "

"But the appreciation of Seawell wines has grown tremendously thanks to Sir. I heard that other territories, for example the Grand Duke of Langton, have plans to produce red wine. I guess there's a lot of places to switch to red if you miss the ride."

Marquis Seawell also appears to be collecting information and appears to be alert to the emergence of rivals.

"You're right, it's the first time I've been able to say it's been a success since I kept making things that outweigh the quality of Seawell wines. I haven't seen the fields of Seawell, so it's just an imagination, but I think it needs to be made from soil to go beyond the red wines from Seawell. Then I think it would be better to further improve the quality of the white wines we have today and create whites that line Seawell's red."

Marquis Seawell nods contentedly and laughs, "I'm relieved to have Sir say so".

"Will you be able to make something tastier than your current wine? I think the wine is delicious enough for me..."

I've even joined the story to Primrose.

"I think it's okay, but you can't help it. If Master Ignacious cooperates, we'll be sure, but I'm not here for long."

"That's a shame. Master Zacharias is your second son, so you don't have to go back to your territory. That way you can make a lot of delicious things..."

Apparently he has a strong image of a gastronomer.

"I will try to do something about the delicious during this journey. There seems to be a lot going on in the Imperial capital, and the Marquis will have Ignacious attached to it, so I thought there might be a lot going on in the castle..."

Talking about that, I headed to Seawell territory.
