Dream Life

Episode 46: Agent Sharon: Medium

Around noon on February 4th.

My sister Sharon was out in the morning with a note that she was going to see Willis Spencer, the Commercial Guild's Plymouth Branch Manager.

The note said I was going to the blacksmith's guild in the afternoon, and I had to wait very long for the hangover.

A little after the noon bell, my sister came back.

"Is the hangover okay?

"Yeah, the pills made it a lot easier. More importantly, you must have met with Mr. Spencer. It's too late to say, but are you okay?

All we've been asked to do is gather information from your palace and Zach. Especially when Zach said, "Don't push it."

"Yeah, I'm fine. Or maybe the commercial guild is okay with this. Later, I mean the Sorcerer's Guild, we need to do something about the Leopold Prince."

I had no idea what it was about. [M]

After talking to Mr. Burt from the Robbins Chamber of Commerce, I went to the Blacksmith Guild, and then I got drunk, so I haven't heard what information my sister got in the Mage Guild.

"I'm sorry, can you tell me what the situation is? I have no idea."

"You have no choice about that. I'm so drunk."

That's what my sister says and glances at me, but I immediately loosen my expression,

"I'm going to the Blacksmith Guild now, so I'll talk to you on foot. You can walk, can't you?

I still have a little nausea, but not enough to walk because I slept half a day.

The blacksmith's guild is about 6 km (Kimmel) away, so it takes more than an hour. In the meantime, you'll be able to listen.

It also rains up to yesterday and I see a little sunshine today.

As I walked and listened, my sister was doing amazing things this past day.

The Under-Secretary of the Plymouth Branch of the Mage Guild (Number Two) was drawn to his side and succeeded in getting Isherwood Branch Manager to work together to buy time.

Furthermore, against the commercial guild, after spreading false information and confusing Mr. Spencer, the branch manager, that the neutrals had turned to Prince Leopold's support, he forced Mr. Clark, who was after the next branch manager's seat, to use the name of the blacksmith guild to become a collaborator.

I can't keep up with my understanding on my head, but as far as my sister's explanation is concerned, the Crown Prince will no longer be in a situation involving the Lockhart family, and even if Mr. Spencer tries to do something against the Lockhart family, Mr. Clark will get in the way.

Somehow I get it, but I still doubt if I'm really glad I did it this far.

"Master Zach tells me not to. Are you okay with this?

"Yeah, that's why I'm only doing what I can," he replied sayingly.

I feel indescribable, but now I can't take it back.

Then you should help your sister do what she does. If my sister makes me do something like this, I can do it right next to Master Zach.

"Okay. Then tell me what to do after this."

"Your brother is well informed and helpful," my sister said after a smile, beginning to explain after this.

"In the Blacksmith's Guild, I'll do you a favor for restraint on the Leopold Prince. The Sorcerer Guild's Isherwood Branch Manager should go see Grand Duke Langton and teach him how to draw the Lockhart family in. It's the way to do it, but the Crown Prince takes advantage of his bad behavior. Mr. Brennan was talked about getting into the Royalists to protect the Lockhart family, but I don't think so."

"No? How is it different?

"If I'm the Isherwood Branch Manager, I'll let the Crown Prince talk about Mr. Lydia and us and get his hands on it. Then, of course, Master Zach will be angry, and the Dwarf blacksmiths will rise. When that happens, the Imperial City will be in havoc, so the Crown Prince will be taken responsibility and scrapped. So Grand Duke Langton might get on with that story..."

My sister's story was horrible.

Isherwood is trying to sell favors to the next emperor in order to restore himself.

"... If the next emperor's faction and thick pipes can be done, Speaker Worgman's tenure won't be that long, and Isherwood Branch Manager should return to Alliance headquarters. It's a less risky way for him, so he thinks it's not a bad hand."

"I get that far, but what are you going to do to the Blacksmith Guild? Mr. Gunter, but I don't think there's anything we can do about this."

Answer my question, "Yeah."

"If things start, you can't stop them, but before they do, there's something you can do."

"What are we talking about?

"I'll find out later."

My sister didn't tell me just to say that and laugh.

We had lunch on the way and were almost back to normal. But it's not very clear if you're anxious and feeling about what's ahead.

Going to the Blacksmith Guild, Alan showed up yesterday, who responded.

"Are you all right?" He asked with a worried look on his face. Again, it looks like yesterday was in pretty bad shape.

"Yeah, I'm fine somehow. Thank you for yesterday."

I don't know who carried me, but I'll thank you. Mr. Alan soon becomes a serious face.

"The Branch Manager is waiting for you. A little bit, but now that we've gathered the information, I'll explain later."

Even though it's only been about half a day, they're already getting information. That strikes me as an employee of the Blacksmith Guild.

When I enter the branch manager's office, Mr. Gunter will greet me.

"You look good!," he said, slapping the bassin and the arm as usual.

Sharon also says hello and gets right to the point.

"Let's start with the information from here. Alan, I need you to explain."

"Then let me explain from me. Information obtained in our branch is that the magician guild's Isherwood branch manager is offering to visit the Grand Duke of Langton. I heard this from a merchant delivering weapons to Imperial Army headquarters, so I think it's highly probable information..."

Alan's explanation is that Isherwood will send a messenger to the Imperial Army's heavy town of Grand Duke Langton to meet him in a few days.

I have a few questions. [M]

That's how the Grand Duke's visitors, whose merchants are in and out of the blacksmith's guild, can tell. If you ask me about that,

"I was also wondering that the very rarity of magician guild officials visiting Imperial Army headquarters and the fact that their officials spoke out to various officials in the Imperial Army made it a huge rumor," he said.

I don't know why, but it looks like the Mage Guild made a mistake.

My impression was that the Mage Guild had a lot of smart people and I didn't think I'd fail for saying that.

When I turned sideways to tell my sister about it, I felt my sister's expression smile slightly.

I pinned there. [M] My sister hit me in the hand yesterday.

"Other information, but not particularly about commercial guilds. However, we have been able to pick up a lot of information about the Lockhart family, so as you may know, we will tell you…"

Alan's information was that he was enjoying himself in Ezarrington with the Lawrencians, and that the Duke of Ezarrington had implicitly acknowledged it.

"… it has become a great rumor all over the Empire that the Lockhart family was saved free of charge by defeating five thousand goblins. Combined with the defeat of tens of thousands of undead, the Lockhart family was admired as the Empire's best martial arts. We also hear that the bard has already made it into a poem."

"Five thousand! We took down five hundred! And the undead is thirteen thousand."

In contrast, Mr. Gunter said, "Really? I've heard of thousands of goblins, too," he tilts his neck.

"Rumors come with tails. Especially for the most popular people."

Alan laughed and said so, but something really didn't fall on me.

The Lockhart family is only well known in the Kaum kingdom, but unfortunately not so well known in the Empire.

Even if this undead disturbance makes it a rumor, I find it hard to say that it is popular because I have never been to Imperial Capital. When I asked him about it, he returned an answer as to whether he had already looked into it.

"It feels like your name has been known all at once in the last month or so. I remember the eastern merchants used to talk about it..."

Apparently, a lot of forces are moving in places we don't know.

"I've been talking about the last two days or so, and there was talk going up that the Lockhart family is going to help brew liquor, not only in Seawell, but also in Ezarrington. This seems to be being flushed by the merchants of Ezarrington and Seawell."

This would be a rumor Lord Ezzarington let it circulate. I have no problem with this because it is true.

"The merchants who deal in arms seem to be aware that the Lockhart family will definitely be joining His Excellency the Chancellor's neutralists. The primary reason was the relationship with the Marquis Seawell family, but I think a lot of people said they were convinced by the story of Lord Ezzarington's maiden..."

I don't know if it's okay for me to go into neutrality because of the collapse, but there's nothing I can do.

"Okay. Mostly as I expected," my sister thanked. And I say, "I have a favor for Mr. Gunter," and I bow my head.

"What? I'll do whatever I can."

With that word, my sister looks up.

"I want to be the first to talk to you. This is what I thought and I haven't been able to see if it's true. Ask on that premise."

Yeah, I prefaced it and then I started talking.

"To the extent I looked into it, the reason the Sorcerer's Guild's Isherwood Branch Manager offered to see Grand Duke Langton was to sell favors to the Lockhart family and tell them how to draw them into the Prince Leopold sect. However, we believe that there is probably some other intention…"

My sister gave a pale account of what she had told me.

What is that tone? Mr. Gunter's face slowly distorts into anger on his back. When I finished explaining my sister, I checked with a squeezing voice.

"I mean, bye. The Crown Prince hands on Zach's daughter-in-law, and Non and others run wild at it, confusing the Empire. When Prince Leopold becomes Crown Prince by abolishing him for that reason..."

Spooky tranquillity like a volcano on the verge of an eruption dominated the branch manager's office. My sister should be feeling that too, but not at all intentional. I think my sister is really bold at times like this.

"Yes, but this is what I thought. We don't have any proof."

"Even so, do you still think it's possible?

My sister nodded loudly.

"So what do you want Nong to do? I'm not gonna look at your fingers till the Crown Prince gets his hands on you."

"Is it possible to see it to the Chancellor?

Was it an unexpected word, Mr. Gunter's expression changed from anger to surprise.

"Have you seen the Chancellor? Nothing I can't do, but what are we gonna do when we meet?

"I would ask the Chancellor to say this. I heard His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was trying to get his hands on Dwarf's friend, so he came to warn me. If that happens, the Dwarves in the Empire will pull up to Ars."

"If you do lay your hands on the friends of Nong, then Nong will turn away from the Empire. Just say that to the Chancellor."

"Yes. The Chancellor should soon understand what it means. And then the Chancellor should do something about the Sorcerer's Guild and the Leopold Prince. I'd like to finish it before Zach and the others enter the Empire, so it would be helpful if you could take a look at it as soon as possible."

My sister is going to move His Excellency the Chancellor to get things sorted out.

I was concerned about my sister's actions. [M]

His Excellency the Chancellor is so fearful of Master Zach. Does such a person move according to this convenience? Is it okay to entrust the safety of the Lockhart family to someone more troublesome than the Crown Prince or the Crown Prince?

Mr. Gunter also does not immediately answer whether the other party is lost because of His Excellency the Chancellor.

"I am gravely aware that the Chancellor is a terrible man. If the Lockhart family is to blame for the confusion, it could be eliminated."

"Bye. That man has nothing to hate for an empire. If they threaten you, they may crush every lockhart."

"Yes," my sister answers instantly and complains with an even more serious look.

"But I also hear that the Chancellor is the one who thinks best of the peace of the empire. Fortunately, the Duke of Ezarrington will be on our side. I don't know what information the Duke is passing on, but at least it should be telling us that we are not going to confuse the Empire with the Lockhart family, but on the contrary we are trying not to create confusion. Then I wonder if the Chancellor will do the best he can for the Empire."

Surely the Duke of Ezarrington was a good man. Master Zach also said he could be trusted with that guy.

Thinking about it like that, it's hard to imagine suddenly sacrificing the Lockhart family. But I'm anxious to see if I can make such a dangerous bet.

I asked my sister thoughtfully.

"What kind of hand does the Chancellor think he's going to strike? Wouldn't you be expecting it?"

Answer my question, "For once," and start explaining it to the Gunters.

"Perhaps His Majesty the Emperor will be advised to keep His Royal Highness the Crown Prince away. I would advise you to take turns with His Highness Leopold, who is fighting in Lukes. For the sake of achieving a worthy feat as a crown prince. Because the Crown Prince can't oppose this either. Of course, it will be conditional on giving more troops than it is now, so I think we will be leading other regiments as well."

"That's not possible. The Second Corps, originally led by the Crown Prince, was not an outpost. It wasn't the Third Corps, it was the Second Corps that was supposed to go to Luke's because Prince Leopold marched against Grand Duke Langton and the others."

"If His Royal Highness is just going to march out, there's no inconvenience in the Lockhart family, but I don't think that's all we can do."

Answer my question, "Yeah."

"I think there will be a condition for the Lockhart family to join the Neutralists. Maybe we'll talk about leaving Master Zach in the capital."

"Isn't that great? We need Zach to stay in the village..."

So he realizes that he cannot give any further reason. Explain why my sister can wear my butt blush words. [M]

"Yeah, because we can't just throw out a distillery in the village of Rasmore. And there's the training institute."

"Mm-hmm. Sure you do. If that's all you know, you're thinking of a way to deal with it, right?

"If that happens, I think we're going to ask the Gunters again. If you tell them that if Zach leaves the village, it will hinder the improvement of the quality of Scotch, so the Dwarves will oppose this… In fact, they will finally settle down in the village and work on the sake"

"Mm-hmm. I'd be happier if Zach was in Imperial City, but I can't say no if it's for the taste of Scotch. Fine. Meet the Chancellor and get your hands on the Lockhart family, and Dwarf will threaten to keep his mouth shut. Alan, I'm sorry, but I need you to go through the process. Tell him I want to see the Chancellor as the representative of all the Dwarves in the Empire."

Mr. Alan said "I did," and tried to leave, but his sister stops it and gives him a single seal.

"Could you deliver this to the Duke of Etherlington's mansion?"

Mr. Alan said, "I'll take care of it" and left the room early.

I haven't even heard about this, and I remain anxious that it is not the same as the instructions given by Master Zach.

But the race has already been waved. I braced my belly that all I had to do was hope it went well.
