Dream Life

Episode Seventy: Plans for the Construction of a Duke of Phyllobisher Distillery

February 18th.

Towards the ceremony of the Duke, the Father and Mother are busy preparing.

I go to the Imperial Palace every day to offer alcohol and glasses to the Imperial Palace or to rehearse with a clerk from the Ritual Service.

When I took the offering, my father was very pleased, apparently, with the words of praise received directly from the emperor for the beauty of the glass.

Applications have also been made for the reclassification of key squires to the Knights.

This application is very cumbersome and must not only be applied to the Human Resources Bureau of the Prime Minister's Office, but also to the Ritual Service for a family name and crest.

It is not only that, it is necessary to obtain the approval of the Treasurer and the Secretary of the Interior for the treatment of the territory and others, with the hands of Viscount Radford's father and brother completing the proceedings in three days.

By the way, they had the most trouble verifying the family name and crest.

"I didn't think I could do as much research as I did with my family name. How about spelling, is Vassel's last el one or two, or does E stick or not at the end of Marlon... because you check that from the old list of people for a long time to make sure it's okay. I'm really here..."

My brother, who usually rarely leaks discontent, was rarely zero in stupidity.

It seems that a detailed examination of the spelling is to prevent it from becoming an inheritance issue. He named the aristocrats who had fallen in the past and claimed title to the territory because of it, and he said he was going to check all the names of dozens of people.

The family crest also seemed to be a hassle.

They don't have a problem with the same crest, but if they have a similar crest, they have prior approval depending on the title.

As far as the image is concerned, it is easy to understand given that knights use the Duke's family crest.

The crest of the Duke of Ezarrington's house is eagle and flying dragon on white ground, but the emerging nobility cannot first use the same design on its own. Of course, it is possible to divert some of the knights who have ties to the Ezzarington family, and that is what I need to check.

By the way, the Rockhart family crest, "The Risen Lion with the Sword," gets the sword part of the Raswell family crest, "The Flying Dragon with the Sword.”

This time, the Vassels, Garland, Marlon, Jakes and Seedorf families, described by knights, each have a lion with a spear, a lion with a sword and a shield, a lion with a bow, a lion with a bow and a sword, a lion with a two-handed sword stabbed in the ground, and all an array of Lockhart family crests.

If there is no problem with the master's crest, it is assumed that there is no problem in giving that crest, but they still scrupulously check for problems with similar designs.

It was also worth the effort, and I had managed to obtain permission for my reign, and my fathers were relieved that one shoulder load had come down.

Regarding the distillery construction of the Fielovisher family, however, the proposed plan was almost complete with Steven Ezarrington vigorously working out the plan, in addition to three: Leonard Muirhead, Umberto Renfield and Montague Underwood.

Among its plans was a bill that referred to the law on the quality of distilled liquor in force in the Kingdom of Kaum. I am impressed that the Dwarves think very carefully of it as a way to get them to recognize it.

I've been consulted on the bill, too, and I'm only giving a little advice.

The basic part is the same, but we decided to change the long-term aging part depending on the type and grade of the liquor, so that we could also ship distilled liquor without aging.

Conversely, however, the details of the long-running part have been changed, such as being very strict and being able to name it “Scotch", “Brandy", “Calvato" - the Apple Brandy that took the name of distiller Calvert - "for the first time after more than three years of aging, and how to count the number of years when blending multiple barrels of liquor - making it the shortest maturation period - etc.

After raising this bill with the Chancellor, Lord Firobischer, and obtaining his inner consent, he proposed to the Senate, after deliberation, that he be subject to the Emperor's leave, but that his appeal and inner consent to the Chancellor was left to them.

This was a suggestion from them.

"This is something we should do. The dwarves won't admit it if I leave it up to Sir. Besides, future operations will be carried out by officials of the Chancellery. Before that, we were made a bureaucrat of Kaum, and we couldn't do it, because it involves being a civilian of the Empire."

So much so that Steven, who at first thought the line was thin, said so forcefully that he accidentally opened his eyes.

This bill, however, is to be proposed jointly by the seniors, the Phyllobishers and the Ezarringtons.

The Ezzarington family has been confirmed by Steven and has the understanding of the Lord Alexis Ezzarington, but the Phyllobisher family has not been able to confirm that the Lord is the Chancellor.

For this reason, it is to be explained to Jeremiah, the son of the Phyllobisher family, and approved.

I'll accompany you to this story.

Jeremiah Feelobisher is thirty-eight this year and is now involved in the empire's finances as Undersecretary of the Treasury.

Neither the Lord nor the Son may be at the heart of the Imperial Government, but Lord Ezarrington's assessment also indicated that Jeremiah seemed to be an excellent financial bureaucrat, so much so that his absence would have an impact on the Empire's finances.

Around 10 a.m., we head to his office in the Chancellery.

The three members of the Phyllobisher family rendezvous before entering the Chancellery, and Steven and I rendezvous in front of the office.

Jeremiah's clerk's office was as much a decorative, efficiency-focused room as his father's.

As the five of us went in, Jeremiah, who was looking at the paperwork at the desk, stood up.

"You've come a lot," he welcomed me brightly.

I am perplexed for a moment by a completely different reaction than my father, the Chancellor, but I reconsider that father and son will not necessarily be of the same character.

Say hello because you already know someone other than me.

"My name is Zacharias, the second son of Masaias Lockhart"

In accordance with the courtroom liturgy, bow your head deeply on one knee.

"It's Jeremiah Feelobisher. I have heard rumors about Sir from many places. Especially from Lord Alexis. I hate being tough, too. Speak as easily as you would to Lord Alexis."

As far as I'm concerned, I'm not going to be speaking freely to Lord Etherlington, but you can't speak of it. "Sounds like you want to say no," Jeremiah chuckles as she bows her head small.

I can only give the vague answer of "no, yes..."

"I have an opinion on that Lord Alexis about booze. Don't you? It's been a long time since I've seen him talk so much fun."

"I didn't mean to be disrespectful to His Excellency, but I will try to change my attitude in the future"

So Jeremiah broke his face big,

"No, when you can change your attitude because of me, I don't know what Lord Alexis will tell you. Lord Steven, please tell your father very well. He said he didn't want Zacharias."

"Yes, that's how I tell my father"

Is Steven nervous, even his father's friend, with a slightly stiff expression?

(You don't usually see him much? I'm talking about being kind to my father, and I think the Chancellor's secretary would have a lot of opportunities to talk to the Undersecretary of the Treasury? Maybe the atmosphere today is different than usual? The Chancellor's son would probably do that degree of ventriloquism...)

This person named Jeremiah, although he collected information beforehand, gathered very little useful information.

If you hear rumors at the Duke of Ezarrington's house, all you hear is talk about is the Duke and a good politician of goodwill, and if you ask Viscount Radford, he's not as ruthless as the Chancellor, but he only hears about someone who has to be in the imperial government. When I asked about being alone, I could only ask, "You're always calm and you don't put your emotions outside."

I have also asked the three members of the Phyllobisher family, but it meant that they had barely returned to the territory and had never spoken about it. It also meant that in their position they never met a superior named Undersecretary of the Treasury and were not sure what was going on.

Only one thing I found out is that the policy is highly capable of implementation and I have never made a big mistake.

"My father also tells me. So you have a plan to build a distillery on Phyllobisher territory. So, what's it like to talk to me? If it's in the realm, I should talk to my father, the Lord."

Leonardo, a leader, answers Jeremiah's words.

"If it's just about building a distillery in Fielovisher territory, you're right. However, this time in the Senate, we are thinking of enacting legislation on distilled liquor in the form of a joint proposal with the Duke of Ezarrington family. For this reason, we would first like to ask your successor, Jeremiah, to make sure that this policy is not a problem, and on top of that, we intend to escalate it to you."

Speak exactly what you were thinking.

Further explain the distillery construction and bill and await Jeremiah's reaction.

"Construction of a distillery, but I think this plan would have no impact on our finances and would be a good plan to generate constant profits. It's the bill that bothers me. Is this really what you need? I don't think it's a matter of going up to the Senate."

Umberto answers.

"It will be enacting and enforcing new laws, which will require Your Majesty the Emperor's permission. Therefore, we considered it desirable for you to deliberate in the Senate and take the form of playing."

"That's true... but I don't think there's a problem with the bill itself. It's just, what do you do with the rooting? The Ezarrington and Phyllobisher families jointly propose a bill of interest to the Blacksmith Guild. Then it looks like the Neutralists are moving for the benefit of the Blacksmith Alliance... but I don't think my father would approve of that."

I have just been inside the regime, and I have pointed out the need for prior coordination, more than formal procedures.

In contrast, Steven takes a step forward and explains.

"As for rooting, I'm going to do it. Both His Eminence the Grand Duke of Langton and His Eminence the Duke of Ingolslop will have to get the help of the blacksmiths in the forthcoming distillery construction, so I'm going to ask you to highlight that point and explain it and help me."

"If Lord Steven... this is a good point"

After you say that, turn your gaze on me.

"I'd like to make one more point, but will the Blacksmith Guild help the Fierobisher family? Lord Alexis won't tell me what kind of hand he used, but he's attached to the cooperation of the Ezarrington branch. Lord Clement went to the Imperial Branch the other day and asked for help himself. Furthermore, I also heard that Lord Hubert was willing on the banquet table at the Ladswell Border House. Wouldn't it be necessary for my family to go directly to the Blacksmith Guild and ask for help?"

He's already got the information, and he seems to think he needs to talk directly to convince the blacksmiths.

You're gazing at me, but I'm the only star of the day.

"We'll take care of that. It can be a bad habit to have to look at Dwarf's complexion to build a distillery."

Leonardo declares forcefully.

What he's saying is right.

It's a strange story that if you want to build a distillery, even dukes and governors have to go directly to a blacksmith's guild and pump booze.

It's not a mistake for an exchanger to have respect for an artisan, and it should be, but it's a different story in dimension than that.

If you want to build a distillery, you have to bow your head directly to Dwarf, whoever it is, there is a public fear. Of course, it's unlikely that the Dwarves would want that, but the problem is that it would look that way.

Lord Feelobisher, in particular, says the Dwarves have been threatening themselves, the prime minister. You don't really think so, but you should try to avoid the seemingly growing behavior.

"But still, I remain anxious..."

That's where I joined the conversation.

"If the Muirheads are explained in good faith, they will always understand. Don't worry, Dwarf is that kind of race."

"I'm sure if Sir says so," he nodded, appeased to my words.

"Then I admit that I have no problem with the earlier plans. Provided, however, that adequate rooting and preparation is carried out. I'll tell my father about the plan."

Leonardo and the others give a joyous look before lowering their heads aloud.

I tried to leave because I was done with my business, but I was stopped.

"I'd like to give Lord Steven and Zacharias some time now."

I don't have any plans in particular.

"I need to talk to you about my father. This is a matter of utmost secrecy that I have not even told Lord Alexis."

I had a bad feeling about it somehow.

"I don't think it's a good story for someone in my position to hear," he said, trying to resign.

"No, I would love for Sir to hear it. It has more to do with Sir."

I had no choice but to take a seat, but a hell of a story popped up.
