Dream Life

Episode 71: The Prime Minister's Return

The morning of February 18th.

He explained to Jeremiah, the son of the Phyllobisher family, the plans for the construction of distilleries in Phyllobisher territory and the enactment of legislation on the quality of distilled liquor.

I had a few questions, but eventually they were to be admitted as originally drafted and explained to Lord Irving Feelobisher, who is the main one.

Up to this point, I was on schedule, but I was just about to go home, and I was told I had a consultation with Steven Ezzarington, and I'm staying in the office.

"My father told me that he wants to cede the office of Chancellor to Lord Alexis soon. If that's all, it's the usual thing, but this time it was revealed until a specific time..."

The departure of the Imperial Chancellor is confidential. I would ask you not to make such a story the second son of a knight at a time, but you can't pinch your mouth because you are a duke's son and a senior government official.

"My father wants to take over from Lord Alexis by the end of the year. Naturally, it will be after the Fourth Army triumph..."

Talk like squeezing out.

"... it is not a problem for Lord Alexis to be Prime Minister. No, I agree with you a lot as far as I'm concerned, but that time of year is the problem. I thought you'd be okay in such a hurry..."

The Fourth Regiment, led by Lord Ezarrington, will head to Lark Hill, the front line of the game against the Lukes, before entering March. By mid-April, he will join the Second Regiment led by the Crown Prince, and even more so will attack Lukes with the Northern Governor's Office Army, which is still on the front line.

With more than 50,000 troops dominated by the elite Fourth Corps, we plan to end the battle and triumph by the summer.

It is the war that does not go as planned, but this time it is thought to extend to about the autumn entrance, because the strategic purpose is clear.

So Lord Feelobisher's idea that by the end of the year is not impossible if we look only at time.

The problem is the fact that Lord Ezzarington triumphs with an effect.

The Chancellor is at the head of the civil service.

If that prime minister candidate has a strong relationship with the military, he may have unnecessary suspicions. Even if you don't go as far as to doubt it, you will definitely be alerted by both the Crown Prince and the Leopold Prince.

Naturally, rooting is necessary, and Lord Feelobisher's idea of taking over the Chancellor in the course of the year seems too acute given that.

"My father told me to think of a way to do something about this problem as my next master. This also has a lot to do with Lord Steven. So I want you to think about it together."

It does have a huge impact on the man in the Duke of Ezarrington family. Steven is currently the prime minister's secretary, but naturally he needs to resign from that position if his real father is to be prime minister. It is not only that, but the management of the territory must be carried out on behalf of the Lord.

Of course, the Duke of Etherlington family has a distinguished ministerial corps headed by Uncle Rednap, the housekeeper, but the decision-maker really needs it. As prime minister, the only person who can be a busy substitute for the Lord is his successor, a man of honor.

This has a lot to do with Steven, but I don't think it has anything to do with me.

Although the Lockhart family will support them from behind as a subordinate to the northern governor's office, they are to distance themselves from the neutrals. In addition, Lord Ezzarington's becoming Chancellor is in itself a prescribed route, and to the extent that that time will be slightly earlier than expected, it is not a situation that we do not envisage.

"You seem to think Sir has nothing to do with it," Jeremiah has said.

"It's an important story, but I don't think it has anything to do with people like me."

"Indeed, the retirement of my father and the inauguration of the Chancellor of Lord Alexis are the established routes. But what happens when it's covered? If, for example, around Lord Ingolslop were to become Chancellor, wouldn't that have a major impact on Sir?

Lord Ingolslop is a heavy town of the Crown Prince and is called the spokesperson for the Commercial Guild.

(If the commercial guild does have power, it can interfere with us...... no, think carefully. Commercial guilds are in distress after being threatened by northern governor Raswell's border uncle. But if Lord Ingolslop becomes Chancellor, the commercial guild can breathe back. If that happens, it will definitely interfere with the Borderline House......)

Think about how Aurelia's commercial guild will behave.

Large numbers of mercenaries are currently being hired by the Raswell Border Bob to push the demand for mercenaries all the more. The streets are completely paralyzed because the safety of the Aurelia streets is not taken into account further.

Those things overlap, and the Aurelia merchants are taking a lot of damage.

Even in maritime transport, Aurelia merchant ships are forbidden to use the port of Luke, which is unable to replenish or evacuate and has lost profitability. Pushing through that gap, rival ocean state Periples was making a leap to gain maritime hegemony and was succeeding.

Commercial guilds thus have a strong willingness to change the status quo.

Obstacles for the commercial guild are the northern governor and the neutrals.

If Lord Ingolslop becomes Chancellor, through him, he will silence the war against Lukes and stop the maritime blockade. It is fully conceivable, moreover, to order the Governor of the North to eliminate the bandits spreading on the streets of Aurelia.

The Lockhart family returning to the northern governor's command sold their names as martial arts. It is abundantly possible that Lord Ingolslop, with the intention of a commercial guild, would order the Lockhart family to crusade the bandits.

Even more problematic is Danny Clark, the candidate for the next Reichstag Branch of the Commercial Alliance. He was threatened by Sharon and forced to act unwillingly.

I don't know if you're thinking about giving Sharon back his interest, but if you're thinking about it, there's plenty you can do to harass him using the Chancellor.

The future of Lord Ezarrington's inability to be prime minister, given that, has enormous repercussions for the Lockhart family and myself personally.

"You're right," he said, bowing his head.

Jeremiah nodded small,

"If Lord Alexis is going to wield extraction, I think victory is definite, but I would like to hear Sir and others' views on this point"

Steven replies, "I have the same idea, but when the military asks me if I'm certain because I'm oblivious..."

Jeremiah turns her gaze to me after something like "I'm the same".

"Lord Alexis also praised Sir's high opinion of the military. I'd like to hear from that lord."

"I have difficulty answering because I have not asked for more information from His Excellency the Duke, but this time I have heard that the strategic objectives are clear. Perhaps the goal is to inflict a certain amount of damage on enemy forces. If so, I consider it highly unlikely that the Imperial Army will be defeated. The only concern is that His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the General, will pinch his mouth. Just be careful with that, even the Fourth Regiment and the Northern Governor's Office Army alone will be able to kick the 50,000 or so enemies they are currently deploying without a problem."

Luke's Holy King's Army is lined up about a hundred kilometers south of Lark Hill. That number is about 50,000, mainly peasant militias.

The Imperial Army, on the other hand, with the exception of the Crown Prince's Second Regiment, is about 35,000 large troops in the Fourth Regiment and the Northern Governor's Office Army. Combat power in the field greatly outweighs Luke, who predominates in peasant militias, and can fight more than each other, even with twice as many troops.

Also, the quality of Luke's commanders is poor, and it is fully conceivable to embezzle soldiers' food and other supplies. In that case, there would be no adequate supply and the soldiers' abilities would be less than normal. The impact cannot be ignored, however warm the area may be, especially since this is the middle of winter and we continue to camp.

If he were an archdeacon and the famous Lord Ezarrington, an enemy of about 50,000 would spare him and kick him off without a problem, even if it was 100,000.

"Your Highness will speak... you won't have to think about that. Without the eyes of His Excellency the Grand Duke of Langton or His Excellency the Duke of Kendrew, we would simply let the beautiful princess serve in a safe place without going out to battlefield. Besides, I don't think Lord Alexis is going to hit anything."

Surely if you were Lord Ezarrington, the cutter, you would strike your hand not to let your mouth pinch your own extraction.

"I was wondering if it would then be a problem to think that we would win during May and be triumphant by July. The Chancellor will also give support to the Commercial Alliance, so the journey should be smooth."

"Then let's think about measures for Lord Alexis' prime minister's inauguration on the condition of triumph in the summer. Listen to my thoughts first..."

Jeremiah's idea was to closely root against the Crown Prince.

Specifically, it will work with Lord Ingolslop and Lord Gabiston to allow Lord Ezarrington's prime minister to take office instead of conceding in the interests of a commercial guild.

"The limits that can be conceded are toleration of stopovers to Luke's harbor and the dispatch of troops to normalize Aurelia Street. Depending on the negotiations with the Prince Leopold, I think we can draw on this degree of concession"

I heard the story and questioned it.

This march in the first place is a punishment for Luke's Holy Kingdom. If that punishment is complete, it is not surprising that it should be taken for granted to return it to its original state.

The limits of such concessions by Jeremiah, from the commercial alliance side, are nothing more than restitution in kind.

"Aren't you also not convinced of the commercial guild then?" Explain your thoughts.

"... it may be true, but any further concessions are likely not to be acknowledged by the Grand Duke of Langton. In that case, the opposite will also be heard from the Prince Leopold"

Somehow I could see the fundamentals he was worried about.

The victory in this war will be settled in the form of the hands of both the Crown Prince and Prince Leopold. For this reason, the leaders of the factions that push them will use it as a shield to expand their forces more than they do now, trying to seat those they push on the throne of the emperor.

On the other hand, the candidate for next prime minister, Lord Ezarrington, is a samurai, and it is likely that the Crown Prince faction, whose subject is a civilian, will not support the Duke.

We need the support of the Crown Prince in order for Lord Ezarrington to be prime minister, but we need to promise him a great deal in return.

That is why we cannot ignore the treatment of Prince Leopold, who is citing the Medal of War in this battle.

Because if you treat them coldly, you won't get the support of the princess.

In other words, it would be difficult for Lord Ezarrington to succeed the Chancellor unless both the Crown Prince and the Crown Prince were able to offer convincing treatment.

We all think and be silent.

(It helps to have Sharon at times like this. It's easy to put together ideas on how to approach the information because it's well organized. Well, I just have to think for myself because I can't help thinking about those who aren't there...)

That's on my mind, but I'm going to shake it off and sort out the information.

The Crown Prince represents the interests of the commercial guild. Commercial guilds want to carry out their economic activities in Aurelia as always. To this end, the safety of the streets and routes and the safety of the Union of Urban States, including the city of Aurelia, will be paramount.

(You can't do this. I need to be a little more specific......)

So I'll replace the organization with a person and think about it.

Lord Ingolslop and Lord Gabiston are both supported by a commercial guild, but not necessarily a single rock.

Lord Ingolslop is susceptible to Aurelia, the headquarters, of the commercial guild, and Lord Gabiston gives priority to protecting the interests of merchants within the Empire.

Isn't there a gap here?

Separate Lord Ingolthrop and Lord Gabiston. There is no need to know completely, but can we at least make Lord Ezzarington's prime minister admit to office if he succeeds in creating a gap?

That's all I've been thinking about, one proposal comes to mind.

But I can't decide if I can talk to the two of you in front of me.

I am certain that he is the son of Lord Feelobisher and Lord Ezarrington and not a force hostile to us. That's a good point, but I can't decide whether I'll continue to be on my side or whether I can keep trusting you.

The story changes slightly, but the successor to a good mentor is prone to force him to do more than that.

Jeremiah will be the head of the Phyllobisher family, an elder. Irving Feelobisher's assessment as the Lord is uncertain, but the shadow of a great father always accompanies him.

From what I've heard so far, with a careful and rational personality, the ability to carry out defined plans seems high. But I can't be relieved by that alone.

Steven is even more serious.

A 20-year-old who has done nothing to take over the trail from his father, who already has a reputation as a famous general and will be prime minister even more.

In fact, Lord Ezarrington will control it, but Steven's heavy pressure won't be Jeremiah's ratio, which has a proven track record as Undersecretary of the Treasury.

What worries me more than that is that you told me such a serious story not long after you met me.

It is true that Lord Ezzarington has given me enough credit to be exaggerated, but I doubt that he will tell me a mildly serious story, a total outsider. I think it's a business where I can't afford it, but it would still be a matter to consult with my own stomach.

Either way, there's no guarantee that the two of them won't be impotent.

The anxiety of telling such a person a ploy that does not determine the future of the most powerful nation in the world attaches to it.

"Don't you need to draw conclusions here? ♪ And when I say, they both look up slowly,

"Right. At least we have about half a month before Lord Alexis leaves. We'll gather information by then, and then we'll discuss it again."

Me and Steven snort, but I just want to make sure of one thing, and I open my mouth.

"May I speak to His Excellency the Duke of Etherlington about this?

I asked the question because I thought Jeremiah was cordial with Lord Ezarrington and had already consulted him, but just saying "um" doesn't give me a clear answer.

"I don't mind talking to Lord Alexis. I'm going to talk to you after this. However, you should avoid talking to my father. 'Cause you probably haven't even told him."

I followed Jeremiah's office.

Think about future policies as you walk.

■ ■ ■

After Lord Steven and Zacharias left, I exhaled in relief.

My father asked me to cede the prime minister's position to Lord Alexis and to me the housekeeper of the Phyllobisher family, and I was anxious to see what I should do.

I am nothing but a mediocre man, unlike my father and Lord Alexis.

As a financial bureaucrat, I can do some things if I go according to plan. But that's all.

So even if I think about it, there can't be a big idea.

Then I came up with the idea that I should let those who are called geniuses think.

Just when we talked about creating a distillery in Firobisher territory, we heard that Zacharias was coming to see us and decided to make him think.

It's bad for Lord Steven, but he's more like an aside. Zacharias, it's too unnatural to leave one person behind, so I just asked the Duke of Ezarrington's man to stay.

This measure was a success.

Imagine, but at the end of the day he was coming up with something. I am so sure. I just can't trust me and Lord Steven, and I suppose you suggested that time should pass.

I confirm that I may consult with Lord Alexis on the evidence. It's about him with care, he's going to tell Lord Alexis about his abdominal proposal and get confirmation.

And then you should go under my father.

I stabbed him in the nail for once, but I hear he was given homework about the end of the game against Lukes, so why don't you hang on to it and see what my father thinks and show off your own thoughts?

I can't imagine at all what he came up with for an ordinary man like me. An extremely evil outrageous, malicious hand, or an elaborate hand that pokes at the other person's psyche... in any case, it would definitely be a hand without any strange thumping.

I don't know if I'll adopt his idea, but at least my father and Lord Alexis should strike their best hand at it.

I just have to watch it.

My father may be stunned, but it turns out to be far better than I think of him as an ordinary man.

But even if it succeeds, it makes no difference that next year I will have to take over the Duke and move the politics of the Empire as an elder.

It depresses me to think about it.

I know it's time to brace my belly, but I don't even have that much guts to just be mediocre.

Thinking about it, I guess Zacharias is just a genius.

The audacity with which even my father could have an opinion, the insight to look ahead, the charm of captivating the unfortunate dwarves… From what I can tell, even Lord Alexis, who is at a far height, has said that he has taken his hat off.

If possible, I thought about taking him into the distribution, but soon found out that was not possible.

Because you don't have the ability to just use him against me. Even assuming you served in the Phyllobisher family, it would just be a treasure possession.

If it just comes true, I want you to make friendships with my man. If you're still a young son, maybe you can get something out of him. As Lord Steven got something.

I haven't spoken to Lord Steven in a long time and I felt he peeled off.

One of the reasons I've talked to Muirhead and others who burn into a new job is because of Zacharias' influence.

He also has a good influence on Lord Alexis and Lord Clement. What's more, to my father.

That much thought and I began to wonder if I would get something too. I don't know what that is.
