Dream Life

Episode 74: Behind the Ceremony and Supper of the Duke

February 20th.

Today is the day of the ceremony of the Duke of the Father Masaias Lockhart.

The ceremony itself starts at 10 a.m., but my father can't afford a morning workout and can't afford to prepare.

After breakfast, when dressed in formal attire, he followed his mother Tanya, his brother Rodrick, his brother-in-law Rosalind, to the palace. The three of them can see my father's sunny stage in person as a participant in the ceremony, but no other family members, including me, are allowed to attend.

Today's ceremony, by the way, is not just for the Lockhart family.

It is a ceremony for the award of titles to those who succeed knights and governors who raised martial arts medals in the War against Luke's Holy Kingdom, and more than ten are to attend.

However, the fact that the Rockhart family is the most accomplished of these attendees, noted by both the Crown Prince and the Leopold Prince, makes no difference that Lord Rockhart is the highlight of the ceremony.

For that reason, my father remained nervous since last night, enough to leak, "It's a hundred times easier to be fighting demons".

Still, the figure dressed in blue based formal attire is magnificent and definitely visible at the ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony at the Imperial Palace, the afternoon will be a garden tour hosted by the Imperial Palace.

Neither does this park tournament come to us alone with our fathers. I feel very comfortable with this point.

Just because I'm free doesn't mean I'm free.

To have to rent the Marquis Seawell mansion this evening for a dinner party hosted by the Lockhart family.

Its attendees, but in addition to almost all the prime ministers, there are ten marquises and fifty or more nobles below the count. As a result, the number of attendees exceeds one hundred and fifty and cannot be accommodated even in the Great Hall of the Marquis of Seawell.

Marquis Seawell, I consulted with Viscount Radford and tried to limit attendance, but the blemishes were too strong to reduce.

It would otherwise be dispersed in the dinner party of nobles who succeeded the governor and knights who cited martial arts medals, but only today is almost all of the senior nobles gathered at the Rockhart family dinner party.

This is a strong aspect of considering the importance of the Lockhart family, but there was another major reason.

That means a lot of people are looking to cook and drink for dinner tonight.

Originally, the Seawell family was famous for its fine wines, and Viscount Radford, the housekeeper, has no strangers as the best gastronomer in the empire.

As a result, the Seawell family dinner party was originally popular, but the sparkling (sparkling) wines and distilled liquors I made, as well as the newly noticed long-running wines, appeared to be ringing on it.

"I've never had a dinner party with so much trouble adjusting," Viscount Radford, a spicy arm, said.

I got the adjustment, but it's only hosted by the Lockhart family. As a result, I am renting cooks and servants from the Seawell family, but I have to take command and get ready.

Though I do something similar at my brother's wedding ceremony, this time I care more than last time because a large number of big men attend.

Of course, I have already completed my education on my salary, and I have decided on a menu of dishes, etc., but I have a lot to do on the day.

"Is this going to be okay to season this dish?," or "Is the temperature of the wine this good?" and so on.

I didn't even have time for lunch because I was checking cutlery such as glasses and knives forks.

I get even busier this afternoon.

Liddy and the others helped, so we managed to get ready around 4: 00 p.m.

"Good luck," Luna says, offering me some citrus juice. She seems to be where it's not booze. If this was Liddy or Beatrice, they would definitely have served booze.

"Thank you," he said, receiving it, moisturizing his throat, exhaling.

"That's amazing," he says, looking around the hall. I was watching it with him, and he said, "That's amazing."

The large hall is lined with long tables and hung with bright white crosses. A round of flowers and candlestick-shaped lighting magic props are placed in small glass vessels, as well as polished crystal wine glasses and silver cutlery.

The columns supporting the arched ceilings were equipped with magic props of lights combined with crystal glass, which were brilliant and created a fantastic atmosphere in the light of the day when they entered from the outside.

"Thanks to everyone, I managed to get ready. Speaking of which, I wonder if the fathers are coming back."

"Yes. I saw you and your wife earlier. I haven't seen Lord Rod or Mr. Rosalee."

Looks like he managed to come back safely after the ceremony and the horticulture.

Still, there's still a dinner party left, and it's not like I'm resting.

After I was ready, I went to see how my fathers were doing with my report.

My father took off his coat of courtesy and laid down on the couch, bringing it to my elbow (armrest) without my mother's help.

"Looks like you're tired," he calls out, but only returns the "oh" answer.

I thought you were drunk, "Do you need the magic of detoxification? I hear,"

"I don't think I'm that drunk... no, just in case, can you hang up"

Unusual for my father, he returns a crucified answer.

Hanging the magic of detoxification made it just a little easier, sitting on the couch.

Remove the carbonated water from the storage magic (inventory) and squeeze the lemon to pass.

My father and mother drank it all at once.

When I put the glass down saying "I will come back to life......" I will look tired again.

"I didn't expect to be surrounded by so many people..."

My father tells me that the ceremony of the Duke was fine, and that he was safe, but the gardening was difficult afterwards.

He said he was led by the elders and talked to the Marquis and the Earl Class in a hiatus.

"... so much so that I don't know how many people I've talked to in about two hours. Perhaps a hundred will come down..."

Recently I have had many opportunities to talk to senior nobles, but I was originally born a civilian and didn't date nobles, etc. Besides, if you're in the village of Rasmore, you don't have to behave as a nobleman, even if you're a knight, and you're never more concerned.

"I even came to Her Royal Highness. Rosalie was there, so I could handle it, but if I were alone... I'd really dust it off..."

My mother was also knocked in by the Marquis Seawell and Viscount Radford for her behavior as your lady, but in just about ten days she was nothing more than a burning blade, and she panicked by the fact that a real princess came out.

I think it's a bad idea to remind you, change the subject.

"I can't seem to see your older brothers?

"The rods are at the ball after the park. I had a voice, too, but that's just the limit. I've been running out on excuses to get ready for the night."

Apparently my brothers are hanging in there on behalf of my tired father and mother. Regardless of Rosalie, my brother won't be good at places like that either, so I hope he's not tired.

Report to my father that the dinner party is ready and tell him he needs to welcome visitors in about an hour.

My father leaks a big sigh of hum.

"Okay, let me slow you down for an hour or so. With that said, are you ready for the second venue?"

Attendees below the Viscount House who cannot enter the Great Hall will have a standing party in the garden. Though a warm imperial capital, outdoor events are insane in February, which is winter, but I had no choice.

As a result, windscreens have been built in tents borrowed from the military and a number of large bonfires have been installed for heating. Furthermore, as a rest room, we rent a number of rooms facing the ground floor, and we have already put a fire in the fireplace there.

"I'm ready, but I'm curious if it's going to be a problem later"

Under-Viscount outdoor groups are ministers such as the Duke's house, but being allowed to accompany them is a very high ranking group. Because seats are usually set up close to the main guest seats, I am concerned that they can be rubbed if they are seen lightly due to outdoor standing meals.

We are discussing this point with Marquis Seawell and Viscount Radford, and I have explained in advance that many people in the privileged class of nobility do not mind such a thing.

I just don't really care about Viscount Radford that much.

"I guess I'd be happier if it wasn't a big hall for this hobby. I want to choose the outdoors."

He told me not to worry.

"Well, I can't help it now. The countrymen came out to Empire City. Whatever you say, you just have to be sweet."

That's what my father said and I lay down on the couch again.

Tonight's dinner party, by the way, but I'm not attending.

Only parents and brothers entertain guests as organizers.

Sometimes this is a matter of numbers, but it's a big deal that I have to set up dinner parties as head of the Lockhart family.

In these cases, Shim and Dan are the only ministers, and naturally we can't divide all this dinner for the two of us.

That's why I'm going to be in charge of the back, and I can't attend anymore.

The Liddies also had the advantage of not having to leave, and Liddie and Beatrice were very happy to hear the decision.

After 5 p.m., visitors begin to arrive.

Parents and the Marquis Seawell greet each other in the entrance hall and the ministers of the Seawell family below Viscount Radford will guide you to the venue.

My brother and his wife just got back around 5: 00 and are just getting dressed now. They should both be picked up, but they were known to have been at the ball, and it was never particularly problematic.

At 6 p.m., the dinner party began.

I was busy raising the cooking temperature with Sharon.

This time the food is changing the big hall and the outdoor serving. Sometimes I can't serve course dishes in an outdoor standing format, but sometimes I try to get people to taste hot dishes under the cold skies.

It's an outdoor way of serving dishes, but it's a stall style close to the buffet style, and each booth distributes large pot dishes, fried food, etc.

Though noble below the Viscount family, this is the first such format, with ten servants of the Seawell family and officials of the Lockhart family making it a style of carrying food and liquor to the nobles with a total of twenty.

Fifty attendees will not be made to wait so long because they are twenty.

In order to serve dishes to the other fifty, some of them are set aside for making, but other than keeping them warm in a pan, they get really cold. For that reason, Sharon and I will continue to warm up with the magic of the pseudo-perche effect.

It doesn't mean it's just me and Sharon working.

Liddy continues to use magic to make ice, and is active in the washroom.

Mel and Dan work walking around the venue as a service, and Beatrice continues to open bottles of wine as the back.

Behind the dinner party was busy like a battlefield.

One hundred and fifty attendees must be served the best possible dishes. Not only that, but care must also be taken not to dissatisfy venues with the bad conditions: outdoors.

He asks the servants of the Seawell family not only to serve the Lockhart family, beginning with Mel, but also to provide a brief description of the dishes.

Even narrower seats than usual in the larger hall meant that I was trying to avoid accumulating plates. One is to reduce the size of one dish to improve rotation, and the other is to explain that it is better to eat in warm conditions than to think about compatibility with wine.

As a result, there was no accumulation of plates, and the dishes moved smoothly to the next dish.

However, the number of dishes increases in order to make one dish smaller, and the number of dishes increases for that matter. That's not exactly how many dishes I have, I needed to use them around.

I washed everything by hand because I don't have a dishwasher or anything, but this was hard.

First of all, the washroom itself is not enough. I was allowed to create a temporary washing area in the mansion's backyard with earthly attribute magic.

Manpower, but not enough servants of the Ezarrington family, employees of the Robbins Chamber of Commerce, and even three of Theo, Serra, and Luna, and finally, employees of the Blacksmith Guild who came to help me with my supply.

The washer was able to handle it, but it takes time to dry. That's why Liddy went to support him and forced him to dry with the magic of the breeze and managed to make it.

The dinner party was very popular.

Even the Crown Prince and Prince Leopold, who usually hang out with each other, became obsessed with cooking and booze and had no problems at all.

If there was only one problem, many nobles would have pressed at Marquis Seawell's to give way to the Mulan Village wine.

Exactly. I seem to have promised the Duke class a certain number of concessions, but now I have a little problem with the fact that I can't concede fewer copies.

With a bottle, a thousand bottles or two can age quickly, but there are too few bottles. So far, there are about 200 bottles of fifteen years old and about 500 bottles of five-year old stock, but if I leave the capital, I'll be gone at once.

By the way, that number is the number the Seawell family holds, and it doesn't count for what I own. Even so, there are about thirty fifteen year-olds, followed by fifty mature additions or subtractions ranging from five to ten years. However, the inventory has about sixty litres of unaged wine secured in a stainless steel tank, and it is not difficult to age bottles if they can be recovered.

This is what Beatrice asked Viscount Radford to do. The Viscount accepted with pleasure the request of Beatrice, this meritorious man.

"Now you've got your share of time to go home. If we go back to the village, there's a barrel, so we'll be fine for the time being."

The barrels used in Seawell are nearly five hundred litres in bat barrels.

I wanted to go in and tell you how much to drink.
