Dream Life

First story: "To Fortis"

Tria history April 24, 319.

Everything that needs to be done within the Empire is over about the story of the Viscount of the Lockhart family and the associated political relationship, plus the case of the blacksmith guild entanglement.

It will not be detrimental to the Lockhart family, and I can tell you that we have done it safely. Well, somehow, I feel there are a lot of blacksmith guild entanglement cases.

He left the northern major city of Welburn four days ago and arrived in the central region's main city of Netherton.

Bandit and demon sweep operations in the northern region had not yet begun, and the northern streets connecting Welburn and Netherton remained idle.

According to what I heard from the northern governor, Uncle Raswell Border, the start of the sweep operation was set for May 1st and we are now in the process of sending knights and mercenaries everywhere.

As a result, the raids of demons and bandits were of concern, but there was no major trouble.

My brother Rodrick, who participates in the sweep operation, is on his way to Viscount Tysburn territory in the east, where he was originally insecure. Tiesburn was not only close to the Porta Mountains, but also because of information that there were many bandits lurking across the Fatas River and close to the Free Border Zone.

Uncle Borderline hated sending her beloved daughter Rosalind to dangerous land, and she suggested to her brother to take charge of another area, but she was opposed not only by her brother, but also by Rosalind, who allowed her without stopping.

Unlike the northern region, which had a murderous atmosphere, the central region was as peaceful as ever. Netherton in particular has no festival hustle and bustle like the last one, and peace itself.

As usual, head to the Blacksmith Guild and attend the banquet. In that seat, he was introduced by Carl Krutz, branch manager, to the craftsmen who were going to train in the village of Rasmore.

"Not the craftsmen these guys go with."

Behind him were ten young men who looked like liquor makers and five dwarves who went to learn how to build distillers. Dwarves are all single in the relatively young generations of the thirties and forties. Niyaniya laughter doesn't go away because you can go to the Holy Land of Rasmore Village.

And one young man, who seems to be the representative of this one, steps forward.

"The person in charge of this one, Bertram. Not the most motivated man in our young staff..."

Bertram is a human man, as tall as his father, characterised by a gusty figure and a dark mustache. If you ask later, they say it's twenty-six, but it's so piercing that it can be called a veteran mercenary in his late thirties.

"It's Bertram. My people call me Bert."

I don't know if I'm just nervous, or if Carl's expectations are too high, but my voice is shaking slightly.

"Burt doesn't look like this, but he's strong on numbers. My birthplace is also a thriving brewery, and I know how to make liquor to some extent. Well, I don't know anything about distilled liquor, so I hope you beat me in from scratch."

That's what I say, slap Bart's ass in the van.

So Carl's expression changed slightly. It doesn't feel like confusion, but it conveys an atmosphere that is cruising around for a luxurious dwarf.

"There's something I didn't tell you..."

"What I didn't say? Trouble?

I shook my neck sideways at my words, but the look didn't really feel like I was denying it.

"I want to ask you about these people's families too..."

It seems that many human craftsmen, including Bart, are married this time, and their families were to be accompanied. Children are small because many young couples say they are married.

Eight wives, twelve children headed by about ten years old. The youngest child is about five years old. Exactly. A craftsman with a toddler would have been removed from the candidacy if a child younger than that could not stand the long journey.

Even though it is a journey by carriage, it is a long journey that spans two months and worries if the child can stand it.

When I tell Carl about it,

"It would be better if parents and children were separated. Besides, families don't often live apart around here... and I don't think bandits and demons will kill you if you're with them. I know it's a hassle, but thank you."

That's what I say and I bow my head big. The craftsmen behind him bow their heads the same way, and I'm puzzled by the way they look.

The central region incorporates a lot of nomadic customs. Because nomads act as clans, they have a strong idea that it would be convenient for them to work and that it is normal for families to be together.

"That being said. What are we gonna do when the kid gets sick? You can't just leave me."

"You just have to leave me then. There is no need to keep pace with these people. Because I don't mean to bother Lockhart. Even so, I am gravely aware that I am annoyed at the point of depositing this many people. Can you still do something about it?"

That said, I bowed my head big again. I had no choice but to consult my father and mother.

"It's not a quick journey, but we get into a dangerous area ahead of us. I think we can protect it... and I hear the mountain road to Fortis is tough. Not a bad season, but still..."

My father, who usually makes instant calls, seems to be worried and lost about the artisans' family.

"By the way, is the quarters okay?

"It's okay. If you live tentatively in a training institute and build a house in the meantime, you won't have a problem."

That's where my mother joined the story.

"I think it's a good thing we have a family together. For three years, I feel sorry for a child growing up apart from his father."

My father had no objection to the idea either, so I said "okay" and admitted it.

The guild carriage is five kilometers long, and the Lockhart family carriage is divided into carriages. Although there is no suspension, it is because there is less vibration for some tires made of demonic skin.

Twenty escorts against the carriage of Nine Hundreds, including my father and Theo, Selah and Elena. Until now, your servants and vigilantes have gone, but other than the carriage my mother rides, she has increased the number of escorts by getting them out of the blacksmith's guild side.

At first, the blacksmith guild told me that they would hire mercenaries, but mercenaries around here have problems with strength. To be honest about it, I might say, "Then I will speak to the Centaur tribe," so I say no, saying that we should be the only ones who can work together.

In fact, although it is the small number of people, it would be strong enough.

The Lockhart family alone can handle five or sixty bandits, plus five Dwarves. They only have not received combat training, but as far as the Dwarves are concerned in the village of Rasmore, they can be said to have sufficient fighting power.

The next day, April 25th, I leave Netherton.

Before leaving, my father gave his rhetoric with a serious look, as usual.

"From here, the gap increases as the number of carriages also increases. Fortis streets are less well maintained than ever before. If you put it in the mountains, the prospects will be less favourable, and I hear there are many demons out there, especially near the border..."

See the artisan family there.

"You'd think the numbers would have increased and the danger would have increased. That's true. But they are our friends and companions. Naturally, it should be protected. I don't think there are any people here who would be dissatisfied with this extent, but I want you to remember this time."

The servants snort loudly at the words of their father.

I know exactly why my father gave the lesson. Fortis streets are less well maintained than the main streets of the Empire, and the distance to proceed in a day is short. Caution is required, especially in the Porta Mountains because of the high altitude and the heavy burden on horses.

Also, as you pass through the meadow zone, you enter the free border zone and security deteriorates at once.

There is always a danger of bandit and demonic raids, but there are also nine carriages, making it a long line of more than fifty meters. Not much of a problem if it's a promising place, but the burden of escorts is huge in the woods.

Upon finishing his training, Carl, Branch Manager of the Blacksmith Guild, bowed his head in regret.

I'm sorry.

In contrast, my father said, "You don't have to worry about it. It's my decision," he says, pounding Carl's shoulder.

On my father's signal, the escorts rode and left.

Fortis Street leads from Netherton to the meadow zone and beyond the Porta Mountains into Fortis, further leading to the main city of the eastern Empire, Ealdred.

Although it is one of the same major streets as the streets of Aurelia and Ars, since the Caerm Empire is not involved in construction, no pavement or anything else has been carried out, to the extent that the carriage shows that there are streets.

Meadow areas have few accomodation towns, as do central streets.

There was about one lodging town every hundred kilometers on the central street, but there were even fewer Fortis streets and only one town by the border with Fortis.

As a result, we'll be camping as well as last time, but it's tough when we add twelve kids.

Parents shy away from the Lockhart family and scold the shaggy children, but it's a noise like lunch time for an excursion because my mother stopped by saying, "I can't help but shaggy children".

The nomads and merchants in the camp are also far-sighted to see if they are rare, but they can't seem to complain to the Rockhart family, the Viscount family.

I just didn't think it tasted good, but I talked to my mother because I don't like the person my child is dealing with.

"It's good for the kids to shake, but it's not good to annoy the surroundings. I think we should do something about it."

"Right. You shouldn't bother other travelers," he said, talking to the children.

My mother slapped her hands on bread and said, "Listen up, everyone! I said."

The children see their mother in unison in the words.

"There are others here. Try not to talk too loud. Older kids look at their little ones. Now start preparing your meal!

Once grown up in Mother's words, the kids start to get excited again when they campfire and start cooking in a big pot.

I saw Liddy say, "Can we all help?," the children said cheerfully, "Yes!" Reply.

"Well, you and you, come wash your vegetables. You know how to wash... you prepare your plate. I know where it is when I ask my sister..."

Assign work to the children and make them grow up.

I treat my children well because I teach them to study in village schools.

"You're really good with kids," he praised.

"Oh, are you trying to say that because my mental age is near?," he said. I've said that a long time ago, and it seems to have it at its root.

As soon as I tried to make an excuse, it erupted,

"Just kidding. I don't know if I'm good or not, but I like my kids a lot."

When I started eating, the kids grew up too. Even fuller, the journey tires and begins to gloat. As I told my parents to sleep in the carriage, I quickly fell asleep.

We welcome the morning in the camp, but there is no relief for the sick, including the children.

Neither the craftsmen nor their families had ever been on a journey before, and they were worried that they would not get sick in an even more unfamiliar wilderness.

After the second day things went well and on May 5th we arrived at the entrance to Oak Hope, the border with Fortis.

Oak Hope is situated between the Porta Mountains to the north and the Testa Mountains to the south, with a path stretching along the source of the Nether River. As a result, you will pass under a chopped cliff, and the road is worse than ever.

"Riders be careful at the foot of the horse and be vigilant around them! Be especially careful with your de-wheeling! The speed is fine. Just think of making sure it gets through! Then we leave!

When my father's orders are communicated, he begins to move slowly. Luna and Sofia, who could ride this far, also get in the carriage.

From time to time, small stones fell from the cut cliffs. I thought it was a sign of a rockfall, and for a moment I get a hiatus.

That's why you can't just watch out for cliffs. On the other side of the cliff is the Nether River, but because it is sometimes wooded. We need to be careful if there are any demons or bandits lurking there.

Concerns became real. There was a swordtooth tiger (Sabertiger) lurking in a small forest.

The first thing I found was Dan to take the lead.

"Stop! It's a Servel Tiger!," he shouts, releasing an arrow with a synthetic bow to a tiger on a tree.

Surprised by that arrow, Sabel Tiger jumps off a tree and roars to intimidate us.

"Beatrice and Mel head for interception! Lydia, Sharon magically supports you from the spot! Archers get on the carriage! Zach, take command of the rear!

The Lockhart family reacts immediately to my father's orders. But the craftsmen doing your thing didn't know what to do, they were just upset and looking around.

"The carriage stands by on the spot! The gladiator and the gladiator get off the horse and escort the carriage! Don't fail to be vigilant because there may be others!

My father was giving orders before I gave them. I'm just used to it.

On the clear command of my father, your men will soon regain their comfort.

In the meantime Beatrice and Mel were at the head of the queue, setting up their weapons to get stuck.

The Servel Tiger is a large tiger with a body length of more than three metres, excluding the tail, and is a quaternary equivalent demon. With huge fangs and sharp nails, giant but agile movements, he's a nasty opponent when ambushed, but Beatrice and Mel have no problems.

If there's a problem, it's another demon coming after the spill.

A fast-moving demon, especially good at surprise raids, could strike by the confusion. For that reason, my father did not actively turn our sorcerers and archers to support us.

The concern soon became a reality, too.

"Giant Yamori (Giant Gecko) on a cliff! Thirty meters high (Melt), three, no, there are four of them!

Good eyes. Liddy finds a demon coming down sultry from the cliff and warns him.

The giant yamori is a demon equivalent to the sixth degree, about two meters long. It is a strong demon against ranged attacks due to its quick movement and stiff outer skin.

Upset runs to the squire in unusual movements.

Sharon starts casting spells, but I jump off a horse and lay down my sword.

"Giant Yamori (Giant Gecko) is no great enemy! Watch your hits and bites! My tongue grows, but I don't have much power, so don't be more scared than you need! The back may play swords or spears. If you're sure to knock him down, aim him in the mouth or in the belly!

It is a demon not near the village of Rasmore and I will tell you how to respond quickly. In my case, I knew how to fight because I fought several times when I was in Doctus.

My instructions say, "Roger that!" The voice returns. Our squire and vigilantes will not lose their fear if they find out about their opponents.

One yamori falls off a cliff as he twists his body.

Sharon's shooting wind attribute magic, the arrow of the wind (Gael Arrow) seems to have pierced him. It was difficult to see because it was a vacuum arrow, but it was shooting through the head precisely.

From the front: "Yay!" I could hear Mel's joy. Looks like we got a settlement over there.

It motivates the squire all at once. I tried to get out further before Theo and Serra.

"Let us fight too!," Theo complained, and Serra also said, "Me too!" He shouts.

As I tried to answer that, one more yamori fell. Now it looks like Liddy's arrow pierced his right eye.

Now that we have two more, I've decided to let Theo and the others fight as long as I can get around to following.

"Please put the carriage forward! I'll intercept you here! The squire and vigilante advance as they escort the carriage! Sharon needs our help! Liddy's on alert, please!

The carriage starts to slow down on my instructions.

In the meantime the giant yamori had come down to about five metres high. But you're going to stop there and ambush us, and you're moving your big eyes around and you're watching us move.

"It moves fast, but no major offense other than biting. I'm going to try to tumble it down with my tongue, so pay attention to that. There may be other demons, so we don't have much time."

Give Theo and Serra attention.

It's supposed to be a dangerous place and we should just clean it up and leave. I just don't really think there's any danger to the carriage.

Because there was a relatively big guy named Sabertiger, it was unlikely that there would be a powerful demon around here in relation to the territory, and because if there were me and Sharon even if something unforeseen happened, we could take him down without a minute.

In my words, the two of you said, "Yes!" Answer cheerfully, put up your sword and step forward.

Yamori jumped at the same time after licking around his mouth with his tongue, thinking that the bait had arrived with the two little ones out front.

They know their weaknesses, too, and they stick them out of their heads so they don't show their bellies. And I opened my mouth wide just before it reached both of us.

Its mouth is about thirty centimeters in diameter. Fine teeth lined up amazingly, big enough that my brothers' heads could swallow them whole.

I'm used to fighting. The sight of fear for a moment even when I saw it, but Theo and Sella were calm. Without being frightened, the two stood to put their sword tips forward, timing them and sticking them out at once.

The missing squeal between “GUGGE!" sounds.

The two swords entered to be sucked into the mouth of a giant yamori and pierced their brains by the weight of the yamoris.

The two shift their bodies left and right in exactly the same motion, avoiding the body of the bumping yamori. And he changed the direction of Yamori's head so that he twisted his wrist, pulling it out clean, without being taken by the sword.

Be vigilant around you and stab a stop at the yamori that have fallen to the ground, without expressing joy, as you did during your training.

It's a brilliant move and calm I don't think of as an 11-year-old. Unexpectedly, I'm about to raise my voice of admiration, but I make the most calm voice possible and give instructions.

"Well done. If you pull out the magic crystal stone, join the carriage."

They said, "" Yes!, "he answered vigorously, retrieving the Demonic Crystal Stone," You were weaker than I thought, "and ran away.

He processed the body of a giant yamori and joined his fathers.

After that, he arrived safely in the city of Fortis on May 11, without demons appearing.
