Dream Life

Lesson 31: Information on the Son of Lucidus

March 6.

After meeting the dragon man, he returned to the village of Coolato, a hot spring, where he had a relaxing time.

I was getting up in the morning, doing workouts, sweating in the hot springs, drinking alcohol (beer), and doing more workouts and soaking in the hot springs over and over again, but I just get tired of it.

It's not a strange time for a ship to come back from Imperial Capital, so I decided to return to the port town of Gartbrek once.

You could have used the carriage, but the road itself is well maintained and you don't have to worry about getting lost, so walk home.

Although early spring, the cold was harsh near the village of Kulat, where the altitude was high, the temperature gradually rises as we descend, making it an excellent hiking day, not hot or cold.

In the deep woods, but without being attacked by demons, we arrived safely at Gartbrek.

I went to the commercial guild on that leg and heard from the staff about the ship's condition.

"Just two ships to the Imperial City and three to Lark Hill stopped by, and you don't have one to Aurelia. I spoke to the Comptroller of the ship to Lark Hill (Parser), and it appears that the large ship was almost requisitioned…"

I hear the big ship is being used to carry supplies towards Lark Hill. I don't know the exact size, but the story of being able to sustain tens of thousands of troops for more than six months makes the Empire seem to be thinking about a reverse invasion after destroying the Holy King's Army in Lark Hill.

Further staff talk continues.

"… If Aurelia stops at the port, the cabin may be buried. I've heard this too, but they say a lot of merchants are wondering whether to use land or bet on sea routes. As a guild, I recommend you go back to Imperial City and use the land route."

As with Gilsall, I can still be advised to go to the Imperial City here, but I cannot turn to it with a promise to God. When I told him I would wait at Gartbrek for a good reason, he gave me yet another piece of information.

"Speaking of which, I asked the captain of a ship from Imperial Capital that there seemed to be a massive invasion of the Demons around the end of last year. They say a great army of ghosts pushed everything to Periclitle..."

Officials say more than 5,000 demonic troops pushed against the adventurer city of Periclitle, making it into battle with about two thousand and five hundred defensemen.

Periclitle is just called the City of Adventurers, with more than three thousand adventurers all the time, but it doesn't have the inherent strength of a defense force.

The Devil's side had more than a thousand powers added to the Great Haunted and Orga, and the Orc was the dominant army, with numerous adventurers fleeing the city. But many wanted to protect the city, and two thousand adventurers remained, including those who retired.

In addition, two thousand and five hundred defense units were eventually formed with the participation of prostitutes from the general public.

They said the defense forces included three hundred saint knights and peasant militia of Luke's Holy Kingdom, whose saints were demonic crusaders we saw in Portsmere.

Still, the number on the defensive side is only about half that of the Demonic Army, which is nearly five times different in real life. This is a big thing to have a big ghost tribe and an orga.

Auga, a third-degree equivalent demon, is so powerful that few Rockhart family squire can fight one-on-one. A general adventurer of about grade five would need four or five.

Periclitle is a city that is even more difficult to protect. Unlike the standard fortified cities of the Empire, there are only tree walls and a wide range of protection.

The walls and moats make it possible to hold a castle in the village of Rasmore, but it is impossible to hold a castle in Periclitle.

Normally, we conclude that the defense of the city is impossible. But the look on the staff's face looks bright and successful in defense.

"So what happened? I've lived in that city too, but I don't think I can beat it by being surrounded by a few times as many enemies"

"You don't normally think you can win," he begins to talk with pleasure.

"They set a massive trap using a quarter of the city for anything and burned and killed the main ones, Auga and Oak. He then challenged the showdown outside the city for a big victory. It's amazing."

I'm also curious how you won, but I was more worried about the village of Rasmore than that.

"My hometown is nearby, did it affect the surrounding villages"

"You didn't hear about the village being attacked. They say most demons were taken over in Periclitle, so weren't they okay?"

Relieve me that the village was safe.

I was concerned about someone who could think and implement such bold measures this time when I was relieved.

"I mean a trap that uses a quarter of the city, but who thought? Randall Ogburn, who was in charge of the defense of the city, went up as a mercenary, and I don't think he was the type of warrior."

Randall Ogburn and I know each other during the Aquila Mountain survey. I have the impression of being a thoughtful mercenary, but I didn't feel like a warrior.

"He said a mercenary regiment military teacher called the Red Arms for everything thought. I'm sure it was named Arklight."

Red Arms is an alias for Lax's most famous mercenary regiment, the Marcut Mercenary Corps.

Captain Hamish Markat is a fierce man over level one hundred, and I hear the mercenary regiment's captain class is an arm over the Lockhart family ministers. But I never heard of having a military teacher.

"Are you a Red Arms military teacher..."

"Do you know about the Battle of Millis Valley? It was the Kingdom of Lax last October."

I heard about the demon tribe appearing in the kingdom of Lax, but I don't know the story because I'm on a boat at the beginning of October.

"You didn't know because you were here with Jilsol. What does that Battle of Millis Valley have to do with anything?

"It's a mercenary regiment called the Red Arms, but only two hundred broke an army of three thousand orcs. The location is Millis Valley, the eastern border of the Kingdom of Lax, but it was the White Master's Arklight who conceived the operation at that time. They can hear poems from that time around the Imperial City."

"Are you saying that Mr. Arklight thought of measures in Periclitle as well?"

"That's what they say. I mean, he's a young man who hasn't even gotten twenty yet on anything, but he says he's a spear man dressed in bright white armor like a holy knight. Rumor has it you're a saint who ran off talking about being good at magic, too. Well, this seems to be a rumor that Luke flushed. I was actually talking about not being a holy knight by mistake because my hips are so low and so full of humanity"

"Are you a magician who can also use magic..."

"Yes, on the outskirts of Periclitle, they defeated the Great Ghost Warriors, the enemy's general generals, with one stroke, and wiped out all their enemies. It's amazing."

"What happened to that Mr. Arklight afterwards?

"Sure, I heard you led the mercenaries to Fort Toa in the Kingdom of Kaum. There's a secret way out of everything, so we're blocking it..."

When I heard the story, I remembered the son of the God of Light (Lucidus), whom the God of Heaven (Caerm) had said.

(We headed for Fort Toa... maybe we followed Luna to the Devil's Land. For it is likely that he is the son of Lucidus......)

After the commercial guild, we headed to the inn.

When I talked to Liddy and the others about Mr. Arklight, they wondered if he was the son of Lucidus, just like me.

"That's all the activists suddenly showed up. I'm pretty sure."

Mel claims to be excited.

Beatrice also nods loudly at Mel's words.

"You sure do. Speaking of the Red Arms, it's a famous mercenary regiment. If you're such a user, it's not strange that it's been rumored for a long time. But it was a little over six months ago now that the name started coming up, wasn't it? Perhaps it's the right time."

"Either way, there's nothing we can do that far away. If that Mr. Arklight is going to the Devil's Lands to help Luna, just leave it to him."

"Right. But what does it have to do with the rumours in the Holy Kingdoms that Lucidus has emerged? I feel like I'm gonna be in trouble."

"You're right about Liddy. But there's nothing we can do."

I don't know how the Holy King's kingdom moves, but I can't do it because I don't have a legend to approach that country.

Then four days went by without a thing, and when I thought about going to the village of Kulat again, the long-awaited boat came.

I met the captain of that merchant ship in a commercial guild, but was granted a light boarding.

"I heard there were a lot of passengers?," the captain asked, clapping his shoulders,

"We don't have many customers who want to go by boat until they commit the risk of being arrested at this time of year. Rich people demand ransom."

Luke's Holy Kingdom is leaving control of the commercial guild because of the church's rampage. Until now, he has never had a hand in Aurelia's merchants, who are important sponsors, but he has publicly declared that merchants like him who cooperate with the Empire are enemies.

"So I'm sorry, but I can't guarantee your safety. If you can't ride with that readiness, give it up."

"There's no problem. We'll get rid of any enemies that come after us."

That said, the captain gave a frightened look, but he was convinced he knew who we were.

March 12th.

The ship, which finished supplying, left the port of Gartbreck.

From Gartbrek to Aurelia is about two thousand and four hundred kilometers on an economical route. Usually sailing without stopovers is rare, passing through the port of Portsmere in the Holy Kingdom.

This time it is planned to be a voyage of as little as forty days in order to take into account the effects of the war between the Empire and the Holy Kingdom and head directly to Aurelia.

I asked the captain about it,

"We need to be alert to Periplus's private looters, even if it's the shortest, so it's off the usual route a lot. If you're lucky, you could be a couple of days late, but you'd better think you're about ten days late."

I am not in a hurry so there is no problem with procrastination per se, but I am anxious to see if there are enough food and other supplies. Confirming that,

"Food is secured for more than two months. Besides, we have a wind sorcerer on our ship, so unless it's a big storm, we won't be so late."

They have two wind attribute magicians to alert Periplus's private looters and move the ship without the wind.

The captain was not worried that the risk would drop as it sprung about the storm as well.

The voyage went well.

After leaving Finnish Island, the ship continues through the Australis Sea.

Approaching the Sole Peninsula, where the Holy Kingdom of Lukes is located, but without encountering Periplus's private looting boat, he entered the Vest Sea.

When we entered the Vest Sea, we turned the needle north, but from here we were able to proceed nearly 100 km around the day in order to receive a steady westerly wind that kept blowing.

Further north, there is Aurelia's biggest enemy, Peripulus, who, although he has encountered me about twice with a looting ship, has defeated us with our magic, as declared.

After noon on April 24th.

There was no major trouble, and on the almost shortest voyage of forty-three days, we arrived safely at Aurelia.

Off the ship in thanksgiving to the captains.

Face the blacksmith guild with that leg.

Zamuel Obitz, Branch Manager, Gerhard Hack, Theodorich Lamel and other veteran blacksmiths greet us.

Last time I used the Zack collection as a souvenir, I thought it was perceived, but it seems to be something I would notice even within the storage magic (inventory).

"You're back safe!," Zamuel said as he took his right hand, banging him.

It hurts a little, but I smiled back when I said, "I've managed to do something."

"I took care of a lot of things to get there. I don't have souvenirs this time, but I have a good story to tell."

That's what I'm saying, I'm going into the branch manager's office.

"What's a good story?" Gerhardt asked.

"I thought of a plan to make a new distilled liquor in Zirsole. It was a condition for the Deodard Chamber of Commerce to get the ship out, but I found some interesting material besides my thoughts."

The three stood up at the same time and said, "What! Is that true! Sieg Scotch!" "and shouts so loud that the walls tremble.

It's been a long time since I've heard a Dwarf shout, and my ears become Keane, but I'm going to go over it with it.

"I want you to keep it a secret because I haven't even spoken to the Deodard Chamber of Commerce yet. And I found the material, but I can't read it at all. Well, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be the only interesting booze you can do on that island."

Theodorich approached all the grasping,

"I don't know what's gonna happen to Zach. Funny booze! When can we do that?

"Calm down," he said with a bitter smile,

"We're supposed to come here to talk about it because we need to manufacture distillers, but we don't need to mature that much. So once the distillery is ready and stable, you should be able to crack it and drink it fast. Even so, we'll have to wait about three years after construction starts."

"Since when do we build!," "Who's going to make a distiller!" and the question flies early in the arrow succession.

"It depends on the Deodard Chamber of Commerce. No, is there anything about the war between the Holy King and the Empire? You won't be able to get the ship out any time soon if you don't calm down."

"I mean, bye. I hope the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Verno, approves. The ship is still out..."

Blood-running eyes Zamuel squeals so.

"Well wait. I started with Mr. Verno, and the people at the Deodard Chamber of Commerce took care of me a lot. Don't make it difficult."

"I hope it's not impossible," Gerhardt said in a roaring voice.

I still think it was a failure to talk about booze, but I can't undo it more than I once said.

"First, what are we going to do with the war? We just have to get the commercial guild to do something about the Holy Kingdom. In the meantime, we can proceed with the plans for the construction of the distillery. Because the plan itself can be done once and for all, and the Deodard Chamber of Commerce will have no financial problems."

Zamuel stood up in my words,

"The commercial guild will be judged directly by Noon. I want you to suppress the holy kingdom at all costs."

"I was just about to ask for that. But take it easy. You don't have to leave the ship right away."

I desperately persuade him, but I get anxious if he sounds decent.

So I decided to change the subject a little.

"What about the Aurelia distillery, by the way? If we build a distillery in Gilsall, we won't be talking about it without the craftsmen."

So the expression of Zamuels changed. I felt calm in my blood-running eyes.

"I don't have enough craftsmen. We're sending them to Lasmore Village for training, but they can't keep up with the pace of increased production. In addition to that, if we were to create a distillery in Zirsol, we would be running out of more and more. What am I supposed to do..."

Zamuel has his head.

"Craftsmen just have to increase to tunnels. You know that."

"I don't know... I'd like to have a quick drink with a guy named Funny Booze like you..."

"If we're going to prioritize distilled liquor made with zilsole, we're going to have to drop Aurelia production. Besides, the artisans who are here are from Aurelia or the neighborhood. There's a guy out there who wants to go to Jill Saul?

"So is that. Noona would go anywhere, but human craftsmen have left their homeland for cancer. What am I supposed to do..."

Zamuels, who had risen because of the new booze, also noticed the challenges ahead and seriously bothers them.

"Then you can recruit people in Jilsol. There are plenty of young people on that island who don't have a job and are blurry. You can train them here, or in the village of Rasmore. Sit back and think."

"Right. There is no such thing as a rush for craftsmen's work."

We're shelving about ourselves that we were in a hurry until then, but we didn't go in there, we just had to snort loud.
