Lin Qi glanced at Liu Xuan, but the words caught in his throat. In the end, he didn’t ask her directly.

Lin Qi grunted in acknowledgment, nodded to Liu Xuan and Doctor Lin, then took the stairs down to his workshop in the basement.

He didn’t find any trace of Baili Xueyuan, so he had to assume she wasn’t nearby, setting aside the possibility that she could conceal her presence.
