Lin Qi "glanced" at the battle scene, then used his Spiritual Vision to sense the fluctuations of Spiritual Particles to the southwest.

Two battles between Tier Four Extraordinary Professionals had already broken out.

The focus of this battle was the mother sample held by Ninghang Technology. It was widely believed that the mother sample was on that Floating Vehicle.

Through his Spiritual Vision, Lin Qi discovered that besides the Highest-Level Mercenary Corps, other Mercenary Corps also had their eyes on the Floating Vehicle and had quietly begun to make their move.

But both Lin Qi and Guang Ling knew that the only thing on that Floating Vehicle was the Sword in the Stone.

Even if a Mercenary Corps with ruthless methods managed to intercept the Floating Vehicle and obtain the Sword in the Stone...

...they would never dare claim it for themselves.

At most, they could demand a symbolic ransom from the European Big Business Alliance before obediently returning the Sword in the Stone.

That item represented the face of the Round Table Conference, a symbol of the supreme glory of Knight Professionals.

[Wizard, you need to try and investigate all suspicious locations within Ninghang Technology. The mother sample is definitely still inside.]

Another email arrived from Guang Ling.

But reality wasn’t aligning with Guang Ling’s plan.

Originally, according to Guang Ling’s theory, Ninghang Technology would have been forced to make a move under the pressure of a battle between Tier Four Extraordinary Professionals—most likely, they would have attempted a genuine transfer.

But the Europeans’ plan had caused this calculation to fall through.

It was as if nothing was happening inside Ninghang Technology at all; they made no moves whatsoever.

In fact, not a single one of Ninghang Technology’s senior executives was inside the company...

Wait!

Where were Ninghang Technology’s senior executives?

Why wasn’t a single person from the Ning family at the company?

"Dong Liyi" seemed lost in thought, then asked, "Xiaoshu, you think if I get this Divine Iron Bull installed, I’ll have a chance like that guy Lin to have a passionate encounter with one of the company’s core figures? Living off a rich woman might be bad for your stomach, but hey, it’s still a meal."

"Dong Liyi" seemed to be getting sentimental.

The young security guard called Xiaoshu, who was sitting nearby, didn’t even have the desire to stand up. He said, "Old Dong, no offense, but at your age, you should stop fantasizing about nonsense. When have you ever seen a senior executive come to work at our branch office? You can’t even meet them, let alone have an ’encounter.’"

"You won’t meet any from our company, but you could check out the Peach-colored Prosthetic Body Club. Plenty of executives from big corporations like to hang out there."

’Lin Qi processed the information. The senior executives of Ninghang Technology don’t come to this branch office?’

’Why?’

’Based on my previous speculation, the mother sample seems to possess a certain level of danger. The Europeans didn’t even cooperate with companies in the European Administrative Region, instead going to the trouble of sending it all the way to Asia.’

’The people from Ninghang Technology might also be aware of the danger, which is why they’re deliberately avoiding the branch office. This actually makes it even more likely that the mother sample is here.’

Having thought of this, Lin Qi once again activated his Spiritual Vision, carefully analyzing every area within the entire branch office.

But no matter how he looked, Lin Qi couldn’t find any trace of the mother sample.

The only suspicious areas were those of the twelve sub-samples.

The twelve sub-samples were scattered, placed on various floors throughout the branch office.

Furthermore, these sub-samples were slightly different from the ones sent to Red Fruit City. They hadn’t been made into remote virus-implanting devices but were instead stored in servers.

Then again, in Guang Ling’s eyes, what was the difference between a server and a toy?

Lin Qi sent an email to Guang Ling.

[I’ve found twelve servers inside Ninghang Technology containing sub-samples. I suspect these sub-samples might be related to the mother sample.]

It was just a guess on Lin Qi’s part, intended to help Guang Ling gather more information.

Guang Ling’s response was swift.

[I’ve tried hacking all the servers in Ninghang Technology and haven’t found any sub-samples. Of course, that could be because the sub-samples aren’t involved in data processing within the servers. You could try using Dong Liyi’s personal terminal to connect to one of the servers. That would let me perform a deeper data scan.]

A hardwired connection often allows access to more hardware-level data.

Much of this hardware data is never stored on the cyber network. This was a characteristic of the Cyber Network Company’s data processing methods, something Lin Qi knew a little about.

After some thought, he concluded that this was currently the only potential breakthrough.

Aside from these sub-samples, there was nothing else suspicious in the entire Ninghang Technology branch office.

Lin Qi compared the server locations with "Dong Liyi’s" patrol route.

There was no overlap at all!

It was as if the route deliberately avoided the servers’ locations.

That, in itself, was abnormal.

Even if those servers didn’t contain the mother sample, the sub-samples were still valuable. Why would the company’s manual security patrols deliberately avoid protecting them?

This made Lin Qi even more certain his thinking was on the right track.

However...

"I might have to use force to get in."

Under the observation of his Spiritual Vision, the entrance to every server room was defended by automated Sentinel Robots.

Lin Qi recognized these things; Liu’s Heavy Industries made a similar product.

They were an iteration of medium-sized Mecha, with the cockpit removed and replaced by an Intelligent Brain for control, making them fully automated robots.

Judging by their model, they weren’t products of the Asian Administrative Region but were imported.

In theory, the core modules of this type of robot were offline.

But Lin Qi still sent an email to ask Guang Ling.

[Can you deal with the automated Sentinel Robots?]

Guang Ling replied instantly.

[I can illegally obtain access permissions for you along the route, but the "Antarctic Bear" combat robots from the European Administrative Region’s Phil Armament Company use Level 9 network protection chips sold by the Cyber Network Company. My current data offense and defense capabilities are limited to Level 7.]

Lin Qi raised an eyebrow. So these things were high-end.

Level 9 network protection—that couldn’t have been cheap.

These were most likely provided to Ninghang Technology by the European Big Business Alliance.

Lin Qi wasn’t actually sure about the combat power of this type of robot.

If they were A-Class, that would be manageable; the power of the deformed individual would be enough to handle them.

But if they were S-Class...

That seemed unlikely. Twelve servers, with each one guarded by two automated sentinels.

If they were S-Class, that amount of firepower could tear down half of Alliance City.

Guang Ling also seemed to have considered Lin Qi’s "low combat power" and sent another email.

[I’ve sent you the design schematics for the "Antarctic Bear." You can try to destroy the network protection chip. As long as the chip is destroyed, I can quickly complete the hack.]

Destroy the chip?

That wouldn’t be difficult for Lin Qi.

Whether using the Martial Arts Power of the "Dong Liyi" deformed individual to break it by force, or using his own Wizard Abilities, it wouldn’t be hard.

After a moment of thought, Lin Qi decided he didn’t want to expose his Wizard-level Abilities. After all, traces of his battle in Greenfield City had likely been collected by quite a few factions.

Lin Qi wanted to use "Dong Liyi’s" power as much as possible for this mission.

Having decided on a plan, Lin Qi immediately had "Dong Liyi" stand up and prepare to move.

Nearby, Xiaoshu asked, "Old Dong, where are you going?"

Lin Qi gave a casual excuse, "Company orders. Giving me more damn busywork!"

Hearing this, Xiaoshu didn’t seem surprised at all. Instead, he was quite calm, simply nodding before sitting back down and no longer looking at Dong Liyi.

Lin Qi had "Dong Liyi" begin to move.

[Confirming permissions...]

[You do not have...]

[System error.]

[Permissions confirmed. Access granted.]

’Guang Ling was a bit slow. I was already on the move by the time the permissions were sorted out.’

’Lin Qi had thought Guang Ling failed.’

He continued on. Before long, Lin Qi used the access permissions to arrive smoothly outside the target server room.

Not far ahead of him stood two automated Sentinel Robots, each about three meters tall.

[Error.]

[Core data cross-reference anomaly. Target has no permissions.]

[Reporting data...]

[Report failed. No network connection.]

[Activating offline combat mode.]
