The moment the Sentinel Robot locked on, ’Dong Liyi’s’ body reacted.

Or rather, it was the chip embedded in the operating system that made ’Dong Liyi’s’ body react.

Lin Qi immediately made his move, activating the Martial Art’s power even further.

The implanted tendons and turbines throughout his body surged with power in unison.

Finally, using the A-Class, high-hardness core in his shoulder as the point of contact, he swung his arm with the momentum to generate even greater impact.

The blow landed squarely on the Sentinel Robot.

’The core killing power of this Martial Art lies in its piercing force. It uses a clever method of channeling power to concentrate it beyond the point of impact. If this were used against a person, the internal injuries would be far worse than the external ones.’

Just as Lin Qi predicted, what looked like a simple collision had sent a shock through the expensive network protection chip.

Though not destroyed, it was dislodged, causing it to malfunction.

Theoretically, this bit of damage was nowhere near enough to disable the Sentinel Robot.

But Lin Qi was not fighting alone.

Without the network protection chip, the Sentinel Robot was no different from a robot vacuum to Guang Ling. It immediately went silent and powered down.

From the start of the battle to its end, barely more than a second had passed.

The deformed body under Lin Qi’s control reacted again, dodging a hail of bullets by a hair’s breadth.

After all, this deformed body was that of a Martial Artist; it was difficult to take down two opponents simultaneously.

The roar of the gunfire was loud and would surely attract the attention of company personnel.

But as it happened, Guang Ling was in control of Ninghang Technology’s internal network. It had shut off all the alarms.

Dong Liyi’s colleagues in security saw only "Normal" status across all sectors and had no idea what was happening.

"It’s not necessarily coming from inside the company. Could be a fight outside."

"True. I even got a notification that Core Road is completely locked down. I saw a bunch of people on the cyber network saying some High-tier Extraordinaries are fighting over in Alliance City. Who knows if it’s real."

"Well, the security task force alarms have been blaring nonstop. Something big is definitely going down in Alliance City, but it’s got nothing to do with us. Just gotta focus on our work."

"Hope I get lucky and get transferred out of here soon. I really don’t want to work in Alliance City anymore."

"You’re not next in line. The lowest rank getting transferred lately has been deputy team lead. Transfers are getting more common, though. I’d love to work in a different Cyber City, too. Heard you get a twenty percent pay bump if you transfer."

Even though Lin Qi’s fight was causing quite a stir, Ninghang Technology’s security staff didn’t make a move.

In their eyes, the Alliance City branch of Ninghang Technology had nothing worth coveting. Even if there was chaos, it wouldn’t spill over to their corner.

This suited Lin Qi just fine.

Wizard, you have a six-minute window. When the network protection chip went down, it sent a report to the Cyber Network Company. They’ll initiate a proactive customer service call. You need to withdraw before the Round Table Knights’ fight is over, or you could be in danger.

Guang Ling knew it wasn’t Lin Qi’s actual body in there, but it issued the warning anyway.

’This just goes to show that remote piloting via Spiritual Vision isn’t one hundred percent safe.’

’Or maybe, my real body is hidden too close.’

’Once Core Road is completely sealed and all of the Council’s security teams are in place, if I’m discovered—someone who has no business being on Core Road—I’ll naturally become a person of interest.’

Lin Qi picked up the pace.

Now, whether he got the intel or not, Lin Qi would make his escape within the safe time frame.

The server room contained one, and only one, server. Through his Spiritual Vision, Lin Qi could see a sub-sample residing within it.

The sub-sample itself functioned as a chip—or rather, the sub-sample was a type of processed bio-chip.

’Dong Liyi’ extracted a data jack from his arm and connected it directly to the server.

Lin Qi was just about to message Guang Ling to give the green light.

But that’s when things went wrong.

The server suddenly whirred to life, seeming to execute some kind of program.

’Dong Liyi’s’ operating system immediately became unresponsive, and even his biological brain was affected.
