Dungeon Master Makeup Money (formerly known as Dungeon Master Funding)
Episode 34: The Adventurer's Guild Secretary
The status of the Alliance Master can be read without any problems.
I guess I was strong when I was active as an adventurer, which is enough status and skill to read. This would also obey the adventurer.
The problem is with the secretary.
The secretary can read that the name is "Patti," but can't read any other status or skill as "* * *".
One of yesterday's parties told Lisbeth that we were Labyrinth lords and Labyrinth family members, and she hastily prepared a magic tool that could make her status unreadable even if [Labyrinth Magic: Appraisal] was used.
As a result of the measures taken, it has been demonstrated with Rio that this will be the case.
But I don't know anything.
Can be hidden = labyrinth owner or labyrinth family member.
Only a limited number of people know about the existence of labyrinth magic.
It's like saying from yourself that you're a labyrinth official at the time you take action against labyrinth magic.
"... what's up?
The Alliance Master is surprised at us for keeping our mouths shut.
"Excuse me. I've been an adventurer for about three years, so I don't have so many opportunities to meet with the Alliance Master."
"Well, most adventurers retire without even having a chance to meet the Alliance Master. He said he made you a high-ranking adventurer. He asked me to meet him face-to-face. It's more unusual for a guy who's had more experience with guild masters."
Hahahaha, and the guild master who laughs and flushes it.
He's quite a mess, and he doesn't seem to care much about the details.
"So, what can I do for you?
"It's not that hard to talk about. Looks like a brilliant adventurer's here, so I just wanted to talk to you once as a guild master."
The sincerity of the Alliance Master seemed true, confirmed where he was an adventurer from and concerned about the composition of the party. Exploration, combat, and knowing what your opponent is good at will also change what you ask for.
He's going to leave it to me if there's a request that only we can make.
"Looks like we made our exploration to the 30th basement floor by yesterday, but what are we going to do from here on out? From there, the volcanic zone continues. You get mineral resources, and if you're after a thousand dollars, you're after gems like diamonds."
"I wanted to check on that."
"There?"
"I heard that if you're an adventurer who likes to wholesale a lot of material into the Adventurer Alliance, it's easier to get the material you want. Is that true?
Iris asks what concerns him from the stage where he was gathering information.
There is no doubt that the Labyrinth Lord is involved, but you need to know how far you know as an Alliance Master.
And Patti, the secretary who didn't talk about anything while he was in public discourse, was trying calmly but slightly frowned upon.
"There are indeed rumors like that"
"Then..."
"In fact, I've been unloading a lot of material to the Adventurer Guild, and I've been benefiting from it. So it was a fact, I can say. But I tried being an Alliance Master. Okay, but the Alliance doesn't have that power. I'm sure God was trying to make things easier for adventurers who work for people."
Indeed, the Labyrinth is a product of God.
But now there is nothing left of God's influence.
"Ha, I hired you because you were famous among adventurers, but it's a problem that you lack the practical skills to this point. Let's add that to our next hiring standards."
"Hey, what are you saying... ugh!
He was the guild master who turned around, but suddenly Gakun and his upper body fell forward.
Patty grabs the collar of her clothes ramblingly from behind to attract them. I didn't have any respect for my boss for that treatment.
"Naturally. My lord is only one. At least not this kind of guy."
"... what?
Patty sitting next to the Alliance Master who lost her mind as she said.
The attitude of Patty sitting on the couch, unlike what could be described as an earlier secretary, is something that looked down on this one with dignity.
"Now, as you may know in the [appraisal], let me introduce myself again. My name is Patty. One of the Labyrinth's family, who serves the Labyrinth Lord who manages the labyrinth in this city."
I knew it...
"Who's playing secretary in the Adventurer's Guild?
"If you know Lisbeth, I think you can predict that our families are diving into various places in the Kingdom of Estalia to gather information"
Lisbeth with [Full Transformation] is able to infiltrate and gather information everywhere by becoming someone else.
The position of Guildmaster of Adventurers Guild secretary could be described as efficient in gathering information on adventurers challenging the labyrinth. When challenging the labyrinth, he applied for a party and said it was a good way to gauge the strength of the adventurer because without a handover from wholesale destinations he would be selling in the guild.
"The Alliance also has a lot of connections and if you are also an Alliance Master, you may meet with people of high stature. There are a lot of conveniences to this position where you can schedule that."
However, if you deflect your gaze,
"Especially not my system."
The Labyrinth Lord has also taken over in some way.
If so, it is possible that he has taken over not only the position of family member but also that of secretary.
"You've always wanted to see us. I could have guessed it was dangerous."
"Of course I could have predicted. That's why I'm not failing to prepare."
That's what I say. Take the crucified pendant out of the inside of your clothes.
I am preparing a magic tool that can properly counter [Labyrinth Magic: Appraisal].
"That was a failure, too. Minimum information is given when it can be countered"
"Of course I understand. How much information were you able to read? Name, age, occupation… just wouldn't have been able to read about status or skills"
All I could tell was the name, as Patty would say.
Now you don't know what's in their hands.
Apparently, they gave me some kind of return of interest.
"Is that what you mean..."
"When Lisbeth evaluated your status, only your name and age could be read. I let her guess from the information she saw and heard that you, the man, are the labyrinth lord. The next five are family members."
Lisbeth, convinced that we were labyrinth owners and labyrinth family members, immediately tried to peek into the status using [appraisal].
But the magic tools prevented me from taking a peek.
Only name and age were seen.
"Anyway, if they use [appraisal] where they ran away and hid it, the least amount of information would be passed on. Besides, if you appraised Lisbeth, you could have gotten to us someday. Then you can disclose your name. That's what I thought."
Information you really need to hide.
I hide about my status and skills.
I see. Being a labyrinth lord cannot be deluded. That's why I thought it was okay to lay low only the information that really had to be hidden and the minimum information could be known from the start.
"So, why did you want to see us?
Today's meeting may have also been the hope of the Alliance Master.
But the last person to acknowledge that was Patti, who had the practical decision to make. From earlier interactions, it seems that the Alliance Master lacks practical power.
"The guild master of the Adventurer Guild in this city is only our puppet. So whoever it is, let the Alliance Master celebrate his most convenient existence when the former Alliance Master retired."
Patty doesn't want to stand out.
But I want information on the adventurers in the Alliance's possession.
"That's my Lord's purpose rather than my purpose…"
Patty, a member of the Labyrinth family.
And the labyrinth lord behind it needs us.
"We would like to have a personal talk with your labyrinth lord. But the Lord, who cannot show himself, decided to borrow this man's body."
"That's why."
A guild master who wakes up a body that was slowly frowning.
No, I feel heterogeneous magic from the Alliance Master. Even if the flesh is an Alliance Master, the contents are different.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Bentler Lonvert, who's letting me manage the labyrinth in this city."
The Alliance Master with his face up said his name that way with an unfit invincible grin.
