Chapter 351: Rewards and Trading Hub
Caelus felt a surge of power wash over him the moment the domain event ended.
Notifications flooded his vision one after another.
[Ding!]
[Level Increased: +15]
[Level: 1 → 16]
[Combat Score Updated]
[Previous Combat Score: 2.34]
[Domain Event Bonus: +10 Combat Score]
[Current Combat Score: 12.37 (Ace-Rank)]
Caelus’s cells began expanding immediately, each one pulsing with Origin power that spread through his entire body.
The sensation was overwhelming, like every fibre of his being was being upgraded simultaneously.
His muscles became denser without growing larger, his bones hardened to withstand greater force, and his mana pathways widened to accommodate the increased power.
The Ace-Rank energy coursing through him felt fundamentally different now, more refined and concentrated.
He clenched his fist and felt the weight of his new strength, the air around his hand distorting slightly from the pressure.
More notifications appeared before he could fully adjust.
[Ding!]
[+100 Reputation Points]
[+1 Achievement]
[You have received the item: Genesis Arena Badge Of Honor]
[Description: A badge that represents your achievement in winning at the Genesis Arena. It might have an important use later on.]
Then another notification came just as quickly.
[Ding!]
[Chaos Analysis Update]
[Fire Bolt: 100% Analysed]
[Energy Shield: 100% Analysed]
[Both skills are now available.]
He blinked in surprise at the sudden completion.
"Already?" he muttered.
Then it made sense, both skills were low-ranked abilities.
The Chaos Analysis could handle simple skills quickly, it was the complex ones that required extended exposure.
Sylvia appeared beside him with a satisfied smile, her own power having increased as well.
He then opened the Space League chat to check on the ongoing conversations.
[StarforgeEmpress (Planet Aethoria): If you guys have courage then fight me head on!]
[StarforgeEmpress (Planet Aethoria): I will remember every single one of your names. Mark my words.]
[StarforgeEmpress (Planet Aethoria): That ChaosDragon Kid only won because of your help. I was going to teach him a lesson and put him in his place and you people just had to come and ruin it.]
[BigDaddyOrc (Planet Grulmar): Calm down, grandma. You’re going to burst a blood vessel.]
[StarforgeEmpress (Planet Aethoria): WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL ME?]
[MoonlitQueen (Planet Seraphel): Orc, you have a death wish or something?]
[BigDaddyOrc (Planet Grulmar): I call it living dangerously. It makes life exciting. What’s fun in a boring life? Our brains require pressure to work or else it will become sluggish.]
[StarforgeEmpress (Planet Aethoria): ....]
[VoidWalker777 (Planet Prime): Can we talk about something productive? Like trading?]
[BigDaddyOrc (Planet Grulmar): VoidWalker, you literally cannot go five minutes without mentioning money.]
[VoidWalker777 (Planet Prime): Money makes the universe go round. Unlike your muscles, which only make your brain go smaller.]
[BigDaddyOrc (Planet Grulmar): I’m smarter than you buddy. We don’t want this talk.]
Caelus looked at the exchange before typing his own message.
[ChaosDragon (Planet Earth): Glad to know I’m being discussed behind my back by the grandma. Very touching.]
[MoonlitQueen (Planet Seraphel): Oh look, he’s back.]
[ChaosDragon (Planet Earth): Anyways, someone mentioned a Trading Hub earlier. What exactly is it?]
[Zyrax the Conqueror (Planet Vorthax): Just figure it out yourself. There should be a new portal in your kingdom now that you’ve reached Tier 5.]
[BigDaddyOrc (Planet Grulmar): Yeah, it’s a grey portal. You can’t miss it unless you’re blind.]
[ChaosDragon (Planet Earth): Thanks for the explanation.]
[BigDaddyOrc (Planet Grulmar): You’re welcome. I charge consultation fees by the way.]
[MoonlitQueen (Planet Seraphel): Since when?]
[BigDaddyOrc (Planet Grulmar): Since right now. I’m proving that I’m a better businessman than VoidWalker.]
[StarforgeEmpress (Planet Aethoria): You’re a fat orc.]
[Zyrax The Conqueror (Planet Vorthax): Woah Woah Woah calm down.]
[BigDaddyOrc (Planet Grulmar): And you’re old. At least I have a romantic partner. unlike a certain someone who is struggling to find a guy to date.]
[StarforgeEmpress (Planet Aethoria): I WILL DESTROY YOUR ENTIRE PLANET.]
Caelus closed the chat with an amused smile, aliens were pretty fun, weren’t they?
And among them, there were humans too, VoidWalker was a human and so was MoonlitQueen and StarforgeEmpress.
He then turned to Sylvia.
"Let’s find this Trading Hub."
They walked through Genesis Kingdom until they reached the portal area near the town centre.
Three portals stood side by side, the market portal, the Origin Expanse portal, and now a new grey portal that hadn’t existed before.
They stepped through together, space warping around them briefly before depositing them on the other side.
The Trading Hub stretched endlessly before them, hundreds of tables arranged in neat rows across a massive open space.
Hovering above each table was a status screen showing occupancy, most displayed (0/2) while others showed (1/2) with a single player seated.
Advertisements floated everywhere in bright colours.
"Selling Levels for Epic+ Artefacts and Legendary+ Skills! No Refund!"
"Trading Wonder Of Worlds! Serious Buyers Only!"
"Buying High-Tier Skills! Will Pay In EXP Or Level!"
Caelus’s jaw dropped at the sight.
"What the heck," he said in disbelief. "They’re selling levels?"
Another booth advertised buying valuable skills in exchange for levels or a huge amount of Origin Credits.
Some traders offered achievements and reputation points for levels as well.
The variety was staggering, you could sell almost anything here.
"Do these people view levels as currency?"
He genuinely felt dumbfounded by the concept, in his experience levels meant power and progression.
Here they treated them like money to be traded freely.
His curiosity soon pulled him toward a booth advertising Wonder Of Worlds.
A beautiful elf sat behind the table with several glowing items displayed before her.
"Welcome, Player," she greeted with a warm smile. "We have several Wonder Of Worlds available today."
She gestured to her collection, each one radiating unique energy.
"This one increases crop yield by 200% in your territory," she explained. "This one provides automatic defence against aerial attacks, and this one generates passive income daily."
The effects were impressive but the crop one was useless since he had the Tavern of Endless Food and Drinks.
"I’ll accept levels as payment," she continued. "I give very reasonable rates."
Caelus shook his head politely.
"No thanks, I’m just looking around for now."
"Of course," the elf nodded with slight disappointment. "Feel free to browse, I’ll be here if you change your mind."
"This place is a treasure trove," he said to Sylvia.
"We could get almost anything here if we had enough levels to spare."
"In fact, we should become traders and get some levels."
Sylvia nodded in agreement, her crimson eyes scanning the various offerings.
"For now, let’s head back to Genesis Kingdom," Caelus decided. "We have things to take care of."
"Yeah," Sylvia agreed.
They returned through the grey portal and materialised back in their territory.
Mason appeared almost immediately, rushing toward them with visible excitement.
"Sir Caelus! Lady Sylvia!"
He stopped before them with a satisfied expression.
"The identity recognition locks have been installed in all taverns throughout the kingdom," he reported. "The lock can now differentiate between Genesis Kingdom members and outside visitors."
"Members eat and drink for a small fee as intended, but non-members will be charged extra automatically before they can access anything."
Caelus smiled hearing this.
"Good work, Mason."
"Hm. What else is there?"
