Chapter 352: Merging Fire Bolt and Energy Shield
Caelus looked around the kingdom with a thoughtful expression.
"I feel like we can do more," he said. "Add more stuff to our kingdom."
He turned to Mason with a curious glint in his eyes.
"For example, is there a blueprint for a fighter jet?"
Mason’s face went blank with confusion.
"A fighter jet?" he repeated. "Sir Caelus, what exactly is a fighter jet?"
"Just search to see if there’s a blueprint or not," Caelus replied.
Mason nodded and opened the blueprint catalogue, his fingers scrolling through countless options.
His eyes suddenly widened.
"Sir, there is one," he said with surprise. "Fighter Jet Blueprint, Mana-Powered Variant."
Caelus felt elated hearing this.
"Can you build it for me?"
"I can," Mason confirmed. "But it requires a lot of resources, rare metals and mana crystals especially."
Caelus just nodded at the requirement.
"I’ll put down an announcement for players to gather the materials."
"Yes, Sir," Mason agreed.
"One more thing," Caelus continued. "Check if there are any robot blueprints available."
Mason searched again and his jaw dropped.
"There are many," he reported. "Worker bots, maintenance units, production assistants."
He looked genuinely stunned by the discovery.
"I didn’t know such things existed in the blueprint system."
"Make them as well," Caelus instructed. "They can handle production while our people focus on other tasks."
He thought back to the Trading Hub.
There, he had seen players selling common commodities from their kingdoms, everyday items produced through normal manufacturing.
With the Mana Technology Era blueprint already implemented, Genesis Kingdom could produce advanced goods.
They could sell those items in the Trading Hub or through the marketplace, creating another income stream.
"I’ll post missions for the robot materials too," Caelus decided.
He opened the faction interface and created gathering quests for both the fighter jet and worker bot resources.
[Quest Posted: Gather Rare Metals x500]
[Quest Posted: Gather Mana Crystals x300]
[Quest Posted: Gather Circuit Components x200]
Responses started trickling in almost immediately as faction members accepted the tasks.
With the kingdom business handled, Caelus decided to focus on his Chaos Analysis.
He opened the interface and studied the completed skills.
Three options appeared before him: Refine, Merge, or Derive.
Curiosity pulled him toward Derive first.
He clicked on Fire Bolt and watched the results appear.
[Fire Bolt → Fire Generation (Common) + Swift Cast (Common)]
Fire Bolt could be broken down into its component abilities, interesting.
He then clicked on Refine.
[Fire Bolt → Fire Combustion (Epic)]
[Fire Combustion (Epic, 4-Star): Manipulates molecular structure of surrounding air to induce rapid combustion. Temperature can temporarily reach solar levels.]
"What the fuck?" Caelus stared at the screen in disbelief. "This skill is way too overpowered."
A simple Fire Bolt could become something that reached the temperature of the sun?
It had been quite a while since he got something as good as Chaos Analysis and the functions it had were incredible.
But the only limiting factor was its 3 slots, he couldn’t analyse anything else while one slot was occupied.
He immediately selected Refine without hesitation.
[Ding!]
[You have obtained: Fire Combustion (Epic, 4-Star)]
[New merge option available]
His eyes lit up at the notification.
He quickly checked the Merge tab and found something incredible waiting.
[Fire Bolt + Fire Combustion + Chaos Flames = Chaos Bolt]
[Chaos Bolt (Divine, 4-Star): Fires a hyper-condensed projectile of Chaos flames that violently detonates upon impact. Unleashes an unextinguishable, defence-shattering inferno. It can reach solar level.]
This was exactly what he needed.
This was like a much better version of the Fire Combustion.
There were a lot of uses for it and Caelus was quite frankly satisfied with the result.
He clicked merge without hesitation.
A loading screen formed and soon the skill shot out of the Chaos Analysis window and entered his body.
Now that skill was officially his.
[Ding!]
[You have obtained: Chaos Bolt (Divine, 4-Star)]
At the same time, the Chaos Flames had also vanished.
He could technically keep Chaos Flames separate, but Chaos Bolt achieved the same effects more efficiently.
Why waste a Trait slot and make it redundant?
Fire Bolt no longer appeared in his skill menu, but that didn’t matter.
He could use Token Creation to produce Fire Bolt copies for others.
Ayame, Freya, and Sylvia could all receive the skill, then use their Token of Exchange to potentially upgrade it.
He moved on to Energy Shield next. He had a shield but who said anything about not having more than one shield?
He clicked Derive and watched the breakdown appear.
[Energy Shield → Energy Manipulation (Common) + Barrier Formation (Common)]
These were the fundamental components that created Energy Shield.
Then he checked Merge and his eyes widened at the suggested combination.
[Origin Sever + Energy Shield = Nullfield Barrier (Transcendent)]
Origin Sever was the best match?
He read the description carefully.
[Nullfield Barrier (Transcendent, 4-Star): Deploys a localised zone of energy destabilisation. The field instantly severs mana strings of hostile spells and robs physical objects of kinetic momentum. Magical attacks silently dissolve while physical projectiles drop harmlessly.]
Caelus sat back with satisfaction spreading across his face.
This was incredible.
Once he finished analysing Temporal Regression, he would unlock even more powerful combinations.
The fact that such overpowered skills existed outside of talents genuinely shocked him.
Chaos Analysis was a racial ability from the Ender Of Origin itself.
He could only imagine how devastating the original version must have been.
Hours passed as he experimented with different combinations and possibilities.
Eventually, Freya, Ayame, and Seraphin Lin emerged from their cabins.
They looked exhausted but satisfied.
"We managed to absorb a few percent of the beast corpses," Ayame reported.
"That’s our limit for today," Seraphin Lin added. "Essence gatherers can’t extract infinitely like you two."
Caelus nodded in understanding.
Unlike him and Sylvia, normal essence gatherers had strict limits on absorption.
[Domain is Closing]
[All players will be returned to the real world]
Light consumed their vision as reality pulled them back.
Caelus opened his eyes in their Tokyo hotel room, Sylvia stirring beside him on the bed.
Before either of them could speak, Sylvia’s phone suddenly rang.
She checked the caller ID and her expression shifted with surprise.
It was her mother.
Sylvia swiftly connected to the call.
