Chapter 353: Don’t Worry About Me Miss Selena
Sylvia’s mother, Selena, spoke through the phone speaker, her voice trembling with urgency.
"Sylvia, come find me. I... Your mom can’t take it anymore."
Sylvia froze, her grip tightening on the phone.
"What happened, Mom?"
Caelus immediately stood up, his expression turning serious as he watched Sylvia’s face turn pale.
"I don’t know," Selena’s voice cracked. "Something is happening to me. I-I don’t know what to do."
"I’m coming there immediately, Mom." Sylvia ended the call and looked at Caelus. "We need to go now."
They didn’t waste a single moment.
They swiftly made their way to where Selena lived, Manhattan.
With their current speed, it took them a few minutes to reach Selena’s apartment building.
The moment they reached her floor, Sylvia’s heart dropped.
The door was wide open.
That only made Sylvia panic even more.
"Mom!" Sylvia rushed inside and found Selena on the sofa, both hands clutching her head in pain.
An alcohol bottle sat on the table beside her, the smell of liquor filling the room.
Selena looked up at the sound of Sylvia’s voice, tears streaming down her face.
"My daughter, come here."
She shot forward and wrapped her arms around Sylvia, her body trembling uncontrollably.
Sylvia held her mother tightly. "What happened, Mom? Tell me everything."
Selena pulled back slightly, her eyes unfocused as though she were seeing something far away.
"I saw some strange visions today," she whispered. "Visions of some other life."
Both Sylvia and Caelus stiffened at her words.
"I saw myself in a different world, similar to Earth. It was called the Azure Origin Planet," Selena said, her voice shaking. "There, I was married to a ruthless man who only saw others as objects, and he killed me in the end."
Her tears fell even faster now.
"In that version, I had you with me as well, Sylvia."
"I wanted to treat it as a dream, but everything was so vivid. It was almost like I was there in person."
Sylvia exchanged a stunned glance with Caelus.
In the Abyss, Sylvia’s mother had died long ago.
But here in this world, she was alive.
And now she had awakened the memories of that world.
"It seems like you’ve awakened the memories of your past life." Caelus stepped forward and activated Origin Sever.
He could see the panic flooding through her, the confusion and anxiety overwhelming her mind.
He temporarily removed those concepts from her, and Selena immediately calmed down.
At the same time, he noticed something else that made him raise an eyebrow.
Selena took a deep breath when the panic cleared, surprise crossing her features. "Huh? I’m calmer now."
Then she hugged Sylvia again, holding her daughter like she might disappear.
"What is happening to me, Sylvia?"
"I will tell you, Mom." Sylvia sat beside her and began recounting everything about the Abyss.
The lower dimension, the vampires, their escape to this world, everything.
Selena listened with wide eyes, her expression shifting from disbelief to understanding with each passing moment.
"You came to this world from that lower dimension called the Abyss, where the Azure Origin Planet is?" Selena processed the information with a flabbergasted look on her face. "Then those memories are from the Abyss?"
She didn’t think Sylvia was lying, because the memories she had were too real to be fake.
"If you want further proof, try summoning your vampiric side." Caelus spoke up, feeling awkward through all of this.
For some reason, Selena had been directly ignoring him since they arrived.
"Huh?" Selena finally looked at him properly. "Who are you?"
She blinked several times before recognition crossed her face.
"Oh, are you Sylvia’s boyfriend?"
Naturally, she knew him. Her daughter had been living with him for a while now, after all.
She swiftly took out a handkerchief and wiped her face, a slightly embarrassed look appearing on it.
"What have I done? To think that I would embarrass myself in front of my daughter’s boyfriend."
Then she became awkward, glancing between them nervously.
He must have overheard the entire conversation.
Should this be something he should know?
Sylvia looked at Caelus and smiled reassuringly.
"Mom, he also knows about this. He is also from the Abyss." She squeezed her mother’s hand gently. "In fact, he is the reason I managed to cross over to this world. He is also the one who defeated the ruthless man who once killed and harmed you."
Selena’s eyes widened in shock at her words.
"Is this correct, Sylvia’s boyfriend?"

"I’m also from the Abyss, but I was originally from Earth. I got hit by a truck and reincarnated there, then climbed my way back up from there."
"What?" Selena’s jaw dropped at his words. "You got hit by a truck and reincarnated?"
She stared at him like he had grown a second head.
"Are you some sort of god to do such a thing?"
Caelus chuckled helplessly at her reaction.
"Forget about that, Miss. Please try to summon your vampiric powers." He gestured toward her gently. "You should know how from your past life memories."
Selena nodded slowly, uncertainty flickering in her eyes.
"Yes, I will do that."
She closed her eyes and reached deep within herself, searching for the power she remembered.
A red aura erupted from her body, swirling around her like living flames as her true power revealed itself.
Her eyes turned red and slit-like, and her vampiric fangs fully emerged.

"She’s so strong?" Sylvia commented in surprise.
"I noticed it too." Caelus observed with a strange look. "She also has many skills. I can see the concepts of them."
However, just then, a dark aura surrounded Selena without warning.
She gritted her teeth as a painful expression twisted her features, her body convulsing as something invaded her mind.
"Mom!" Sylvia immediately reached for her, worry flooding her face.
Caelus’s expression turned cold as he watched the darkness spread.
Selena’s vision changed completely.
She found herself standing in an empty void, surrounded by creatures of the dead.
Skeletal figures and rotting corpses drifted around her like leaves in the wind.
Information was being transmitted directly into her mind, knowledge forcing itself into her consciousness.
"The Ender of Death?" Selena’s eyes widened in shock.
She had formed a connection with the Ender of Death itself.
She knew what an Ender was thanks to her Abyss memories, and also from her ancestor, who had told them everything about the Ender of Death.
The vampires were the servants of the Ender of Death.
Then more information appeared in her mind, a command burning itself into her thoughts.
"Kill and eliminate people. Create a legion of death across Earth for the Ender of Death’s arrival."
Selena’s eyes widened with horror at the command.
"No!" she screamed into the void. "I refuse!"
She was a vampire, yes. She was born to dutifully serve the Ender of Death, yes.
But above all that, she was just a gentle mother who wanted to live an ordinary life.
Kill and eliminate innocent people?
She would rather kill herself than do that.
However, the moment she rejected the command, her mind began to corrupt.
Visions assaulted her consciousness, terrible images of her daughter being killed in countless ways, Sylvia’s blood staining the ground over and over again.
She screamed in agony as the corruption spread deeper.
Then a blue energy erupted around her, washing away the corruption like water extinguishing flames.
The following instant, she heard footsteps.

Selena turned her eyes to the side and saw Caelus walking toward her, his footsteps echoing through the void.
"Caelus?" Selena’s shock deepened. "No! Why are you here? This is the Domain of Death! The Ender of Death is here with us. You will get yourself killed!"
But Caelus didn’t respond to her warning.
He continued walking, his gaze fixed on the darkness below them.
"Don’t worry about me, Miss Selena."
The moment he spoke those words, the void trembled.
A massive dragon head formed in the darkness, with gigantic glowing blue draconic eyes that dwarfed everything around them.
Selena’s eyes widened in shock at the sight.
BOOM!
Blue energy erupted from Caelus as he stood at the center of the void, his power clashing against the Domain of Death.
The two forces crashed together, and the Domain of Death shattered like fragile glass beneath the overwhelming pressure.
"It isn’t your time to enter this world yet, Ender of Death," Caelus said with a faint smile.
Selena could only stare.
She saw Caelus standing there calmly, his figure overlapping with both dragon and human forms.
The presence radiating from him made her vampiric blood tremble, her race instinctively recognising what stood before her.
Something that existed far beyond the concept of a god.
An Ender.
