"What a coincidence. I never expected I would awaken the right kind of bloodline at the right time," Victor mumbled. When he had first seen the name and description of the bloodline, he froze in disbelief and, for some reason, felt a chill run down his spine, like someone was manipulating his fate and raising him like a fat sheep that needed to be slaughtered. He hurriedly pushed back the ominous thought that had just popped into his head and looked at the panicked and fearful devil in front of him with an amused smile as he closed the status window.
"No, how did you escape? I was sure I got you," Vicious said in a hoarse tone as he took a couple of steps back.
"Guess," Victor said in a mocking tone as he took a step forward. At the same time, Vicious instinctively took a step back.
Vicious gritted his teeth and looked at Victor with bloodshot eyes, on the verge of losing his sanity, and shouted, "You are just a Tier 1 trash. It must have been a fluke!"
"Serpents of Darkness!" Vicious shouted as a large amount of mana gathered in his hands and black energy swirled around his fist, while multiple giant black serpents made of darkness charged in Victor’s direction with their mouths wide open.
"Oh, armor," Victor muttered as the white Jörmungandr armor appeared around him. He then raised his sword and said, "Night Lock."
As soon as those words left his mouth, Victor’s expression turned sharp. The devil who heard this felt a shiver run down his spine as all the hairs on his body stood on end, and he looked ahead.
Some of the serpents that were charging forward suddenly froze, turned into stone, and fell onto the ground with a thud.
The other serpents were not affected and kept charging toward Victor, which made Vicious break into an ecstatic grin.
"Hah, as expected, his bloodline power is still weak. If it were those ancient monsters, not only would the attack be turned to stone, but I would also be turned into stone!"
Vicious looked ecstatic as he looked forward to the scene of Victor getting torn apart. He could not help but laugh at himself for being afraid a few moments ago. In his opinion, the only way a Tier 1 trash like him could defeat him was through the Night Slayer’s powers, but they were still very weak. Just thinking about killing a Night Slayer made him break into a grin, but that grin froze when he saw the next scene.
Rumble!
Serpents made up of black lightning charged toward the serpents made up of darkness and collided, but to Vicious’s horror, he did not see the scene of his attack destroying Victor. Instead, the opposite happened, as he muttered blankly, "How...?"
"Are you surprised? Did you think I would rely on the new bloodline I got, which was completely unexpected?" Victor said as he walked forward and raised both his arms. In one hand, black lightning roared around his palm, while in his other hand, which held the sword, flames wrapped around it.
Vicious’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when he saw this. "This... you have multiple bloodlines?"
"Indeed, and that is not all," Victor said as Vicious felt the gravity around him increase and looked at Victor with growing fear.
’Fuck, what dogshit luck. This guy is even more outrageous than the Night Slayers of the past.’ Vicious swallowed hard as he looked at Victor with eyes filled with terror. He had completely believed that Victor had multiple bloodlines. The Enemy of Night was the bloodline Night Slayers possessed, which made them formidable against creatures of the night, and only a handful possessed a second bloodline, but the human in front of him was simply too outrageous.
He looked around and thought, ’I need to escape... I should use that and return home, no matter the consequences.’ Vicious made up his mind. If he went back to the world where he came from, he might be punished, but staying here meant death.
He immediately brought out a black key with some runes from his pocket. Just as he was about to use it, he felt his body stiffen and saw his legs turning into stone and screamed, "No, damn it!"
With a few seconds, he had turned into stone.
"What was that key?" Victor mumbled with a frown as he started to walk toward him, but before he could reach him, he felt mana stir from the stone, and the next moment—
Bang!
The stone around Vicious’s body cracked as he managed to escape.
"Huff... Huff... that was close. If he was stronger, I would be finished," Vicious gasped for air as his body was covered in sweat and, without hesitation, used the key. As soon as he did this, a portal appeared beside him and sucked him inside.
"That was a different world..." Victor mumbled with a frown as he had gotten a glimpse of what was behind the portal. It looked nothing like this world or Earth, and he could tell it was a different planet. As Victor was thinking, his eyes caught something that was on the ground where the devil had been standing. He walked toward it and saw a similar key like the one Vicious had used.
As he was examining the key, Victor’s gaze shifted toward the other battlefield for a brief moment, and he muttered, "Night Seal."

"Shit, the boss escaped. He ditched us!" Selene, who was engaged in a fight with the girls, had her eyes widened in shock when Vicious was overwhelmed by Victor’s attack, but what broke her was that he simply escaped back to the place where they had come from in the first place. She knew what kind of punishment they would receive if they returned, as they had left the place without permission and would most likely be reduced to slaves or worse.
When they first had chosen this world, they had investigated it first and learned that this world had just recently evolved and its inhabitants were not that strong, and they were confident that after creating an army of devil contractors, they could easily conquer and dominate the place.
Selena’s face contorted in anger as she cursed, "Damn, who knew we would encounter a Primordial and, worse, a Night Slayer on this young planet?"
She was more angry that Vicious had left without notifying her. In fact, she also had thoughts of running away, but her loyalty and fear toward Vicious made her stay, even though her instincts warned her to run away.
"Screen this, I am leaving as well." She gritted her teeth and brought out the key. She knew what would happen to her if she returned, but she had no choice.
Amber saw this and cursed, "Damn, she is trying to escape!"
She was sure that Victor was helping them, and she was confident she could slay this devil and advance to the next tier, but if she escaped, she would have no tears to cry.

Amanda, who heard this, suddenly had a realization as she thought, ’No wonder she was fighting like a mad dog.’
Amber had caused the most damage to Selena, and in doing so, she was the most injured. If she fought with a bit more restraint, she would be way less injured. At first, she thought Amber had some kind of hatred toward devils, but now it seemed that was not the case.
