The atmosphere within the Spectrum base was saturated with an almost solid tension, a heaviness emanating from the basalt stone walls engraved with complex geometric symbols. Dark flames burned in metal holders, casting moving shadows over the two fighters. The combat between Klein and the Antichrist had now reached another dimension, each exchange of blows shaking the very foundations of the Spectrum base. The Antichrist occupied the body of Aeshma and his stature adapted with terrifying speed to this fleshly envelope. His amber eyes, reflections of the demonic essence, shone with a malevolent glow while his superficial wounds healed before one’s eyes.

"You fight really well, human," the Antichrist mocked, his voice distorted by a deep resonance.

With a simple gesture of the hand, he summoned a crushing pressure, manipulating the flows of magic to bend gravity itself around his opponent. The rock under Klein’s boots cracked instantly, forming a circular crater under the force of this invisible oppression. Klein, whose hair was soaked with sweat, did not yield. His gaze remained focused, analyzing every fluctuation of energy. His muscles, reinforced by a dense layer of aura, creaked under the gravitational tension, but his will remained intact.

An invisible shockwave exploded around him, dispersing the gravitational pressure in a strident hiss and repelling the black flames that were beginning to lick his clothes. Taking advantage of this micro-second of respite, Klein activated his Mystic Arts, his fingers tracing complex Mudras at a speed that the human eye could not have followed. A vibration filled the air as he boosted his own senses through the manipulation of his internal energy flow.

The world suddenly seemed to slow down. Klein now perceived every contraction of the Antichrist’s muscles, every fluctuation of the mana surrounding his opponent like a mist. The Antichrist raised his left hand and launched a surge of . Jets of dark fire took the form of predatory beasts, howling into the void as they rushed toward him.

Klein sketched a minimal sidestep. He let a streak of fire pass that vitrified the stone behind him, transforming the basalt into black and smoking glass. Simultaneously, he drew his katana. The blade, of absolute black absorbing the light, lit up faintly in response to his aura.

Klein ignored the searing pain of the metal spikes tearing his muscles. He placed his right foot back, stabilized his center of gravity, and concentrated all his energy into the black blade. The silver runes ignited with a white glow.

A dazzling blade of energy burst from his katana, cutting the air with a sharp hiss that covered the roar of the flames. The strike was of surgical precision: it split the Antichrist’s flames in two and cut into the latter’s shoulder. Thick black blood, the corrupted essence of Aeshma, spurted onto the ground, smoking and burning the rock on contact with the air.

The Antichrist let out a hoarse laugh, almost joyful, his wound already closing in a crackling of charred flesh. He struck the ground with his fist with unheard-of violence, triggering a combined explosion of gravity and fire that threw Klein backward. The latter slammed into a stone pillar and spat a jet of blood mixed with saliva, feeling his ribs protest against the impact.

The combat then became a bloody hand-to-hand fight, a macabre dance where every error could be fatal. Klein used to unbalance the Antichrist, pulling on his limbs at the precise moment he initiated a movement, before striking him with his katana. In response, the Antichrist replied with devastating punches charged with kinetic power and demonic mana. A brutal elbow strike from the Antichrist smashed Klein’s nose in a sinister crack, flooding his face with hot blood. Yet Klein did not retreat. He responded instantly by driving his black blade into his opponent’s thigh, tearing the muscles and tendons in a cruel rotating motion.

He tightened his grip on the hilt, feeling the constant flow of his energy fueling his movements thanks to his recovery ability.

He used once more under his feet to propel himself upward, avoiding a sweep of black flames that skimmed the ground. In the air, he performed a full rotation, his katana tracing a circle of light and shadow.

Persistent trails of aura remained suspended in the void, creating phantom blades that struck the Antichrist from unpredictable angles. The opponent had to raise his arms to protect his face, the cuts multiplying on his massive forearms.

"Pathetic insect!" the Antichrist roared. The gravitational pressure in the room suddenly doubled, forcing Klein to fall heavily back to the ground, his knees sinking into the stone.

Klein struggled to raise his head. Blood flowed from his nostrils and ears, but his blue eyes remained fixed on his target with fierce determination. He knew he was reaching his limits, but he also knew that every drop of blood spilled here was one more step toward the fulfillment of his path as Usurper.

The Antichrist advanced, each step making the Spectrum base tremble. He charged his right fist with such a quantity of demonic mana that the air around his arm seemed to twist and blacken.

"Die in oblivion, human."

Klein tightened his grip on his katana, feeling the aura pulse. He had no intention of dying here. Not before putting a leash around the neck of this bastard who thought he could do whatever he wanted and who wanted to harm his loved ones.

He straightened slowly, ignoring the gravity, and placed his katana in front of him in a perfect guard, the blade pointed forward. The silver runes shone with an unbearable brilliance, absorbing the residual corrupted mana in the air.

"Come, Antichrist," Klein murmured, his voice calm despite the surrounding chaos.

The Antichrist lunged, a comet of dark fire and hatred, while Klein triggered a lateral to initiate his final counterattack, the ground exploding under his push.
