Chapter 561: Bloodline Nemesis

Despite Lucien’s worries....

Lumina, of course, was not using any of her bloodline powers at the moment, only using her Arcane aspect and the restoration magic.

Axel himself was also worried for a similar reason; using his rune weapons throughout the battlefield, he was keeping an eye on the Sunflower Princess.

Even Sophia and Heinz kept an eye on her with worry; the Valkyrie saw Lumina as a sister, the only person in the royal family who gazed at Sophia with genuine warmth and often worried about her.

Something similar happened with Heinz; while the Calamity Warlord was locked within the royal palace, it was the Sunflower Princess who often showed him kind acts.

She was the one who repeatedly tried to free him from the suspicions the royal family had painted on Heinz to control him; Lumina spared no effort so that he and Vyra could meet.

The more often the princess visited him in cells, the less time he had to spend in the torture sessions.

For that reason, Heinz was also inclined to prioritize the safety of this one-in-a-million kind soul, who was the complete opposite of her brother’s cunning nature.

And, unknown to the four fated individuals protecting the innocent princess, fate always had a way of returning to its predestined course; Axel may have saved the princess who was supposed to die within the confines of the academy.

But the Grim Reaper was not willing to let her go.

Deep within the Ghost race camp, the look on the face of Zeledin Ulpranak was monstrous, as he stared at the figure of the Sunflower princess.

Even though the princess was wearing many safety artifacts, runes that hid the existence of a radiant bloodline swimming within her veins, the 6th phase Death Knight could easily peer through all of it.

Especially since he knew the information in advance, maybe if Zeledin was not privy to the knowledge beforehand, he might not have known where to look in order to discover it, but since he did know.

The Sunflower Princess would naturally not escape his harrowing gaze. A gaze that seemed to strain on the very fragile space of the Human Lands itself.

But Zeledin quickly reigned in his murderous rage towards his bloodline nemesis and said to his trusted subordinate, "Can you feel it, Zoromir, that wretched bloodline...??"

The 5th phase Strategist’s eyes were locked onto Lumina; there was fear in his eyes at the thought of it.

Through the inverted vision provided by his Lord, he could see the soft pulsing glow of peace and warmth nestling within the heart of the Sunflower Princess.

And yet that soft silver brilliance existing within Lumina was a cause of unprecedented terror and hatred that bloomed in the bloodline of Zoromir. He let out a low scowl, filled with abhorrence.

"My Lord, please give me your permission; no matter how many losses we must incur, the bloodline of the Luminaries must be extinguished regardless of the consequences....."

The 6th phase Death Knight let out a tired sigh; he truly hoped things would not go in this direction, "Duke Ramos is truly cunning; he truly put us in such a predicament that we have no choice but to dance to his tune, I’m afraid...."

Zoromir gritted his teeth and revealed another set of information he had investigated, "My Lord, I have looked into the spy Duke Ramos has within the Royal Palace; it is the Suncrest King’s consort, who relayed the information of Lumina Suncrest’s hidden bloodline."

The strategist paused for a moment and added, "I believe Duke Ramos wants us and the Human Kings to be entangled in a longer and more serious war, just in case the Human Kings come to help the Elven Empire when it faces the Venus Empire."

"After all, that is the ancient agreement between the past Human and Elven Kings, from what I have come to know..." said Zoromir.

The mighty 6th phase existence tapped the armrest with his bone fingers; eventually he ordered in a domineering tone, "We cannot dance to the tunes of Duke Ramos and continue this foolish war; we have to kill both the Valkyrie and the last of the Luminaries swiftly, as fast as possible and move out of this barren hellhole...."

Zeledin’s gaze weighed on his trusted subordinate as he asked coldly, "Make it happen... no matter what... prove your worth to me, Zoromir Gorthak."

The 5th phase Strategist felt a shudder run through his spine; it was the first time his Lord had called him by his full name. He immediately prostrated with absolute obedience and said in boundless resolution, "I shall not fail you, my lord...."

Zoromir hurriedly exited his Lord’s abode; a dark and ruthless gaze settled on his nestling dark sockets as he entered a separate establishment, where countless undead were coordinating with the undead combatants fighting on the battlefield, issuing necessary commands.

And the moment when Zorormir entered the place, every other Lich stopped in their tracks and looked at him respectfully, silently waiting for his orders.

A scepter appeared in the Lich’s hand; he pinned the dark scepter’s bottom to the ground with a bang, and from that point, countless blackish magical symbols written in ghost tongue spread like writhing death worms, encompassing the entire chamber.

Covering all the walls, yet none of the other undead dared to move, and the moment this happened.

Zoromir’s mind instantly connected with thousands upon thousands of third-phase Undeads as well as the hundreds of 4th-phase Dreadborn aspect holders.

A shudder ran through the entire Ghost race’s army, but Zoromir did not try to control any of them.

Rather, his mind went towards the thread of connection existing within him and the strongest one within the Ghost army, Zabiur Ulpranak.

The High-Lich was locked in a deadly battle against Heinz and Axel, and the Deathly Hollow did not seem to be in a favorable position either.

But he also felt the tremor of an overpowering connection seeping into his mind, and the sudden act of it caused him to lose another exchange between him and his two deadly enemies, who seemed to be fighting as if they were sharing one mind.

Zoromir stated coldly in the mind of Zabiur, uncaring of the Deathly Hollows’ current state,

[Zabiur Ulpranak, you are to heed new orders....]

Zoromir continued, [You are to prioritize killing the Suncrest Princess who just entered the battlefield, and I don’t care if you have to burn your Soul Sanctum in the process; it has to be done no matter what, and then you must kill the Valkyrie.]

The Deathly Hollow was completely stunned by the sudden order and could not understand the reasoning behind it, so he asked through the mental link, [May I ask why, sir Zoromir?]

The 5th phase Strategist revealed the secret in a grave tone: [She carries the bloodline of Luminaries; she is the last remnant of our bloodline nemesis. You don’t have access to the world force at the moment, which is why you cannot feel it yet.]

Disbelief colored the face of the High-Lich, as he was stunned to such a degree that the undead almost thought he had misheard.

Letting out a hollow, almost nervous laugh, he asked once more to clarify, and the answer was the same. Because if that was really true, Zabiur’s task just became 10 times harder.

The High-Lich was no fool; he could easily see that Axel, Heinz, and Sophia- all three were keeping an eye on the princess. Her safety seemed paramount to these strong fighters of humanity.

Zoromir reassured him, [Don’t worry, one peak 4th phase Lich will explode their soul to shatter the Runic Barrier restricting the use of World Energy, and you can sacrifice the soul of another peak 4th phase Dreadborn to boost your powers.]

Then the 5th phase Lich added the last cherry on top, [And if you can successfully kill both the Valkyrie and the Luminary. Lord Zeledin himself shall plead your case to the Ghost Emperor to restore all your lost foundation and potential...]

Hearing those words, the last bit of hesitation holding back the Deathly Hollow vanished in an instant. Zoromir cut off his connection with Zabiur and declared to every other Ghost race powerhouse fighting within that battlefield in a resounding tone, [KILL THE SUNCREST PRINCESS....SHE IS A LUMINARY....]

The moment this proclamation resounded in the minds of the undead forces, an ominous silence spread across the battlefield. Countless deadly battles stopped for seemingly no reason.

The deathly chill spreading from all the undead creatures intensified. The Ghost race members all cackled. As if gnashing their teeth in fury.

Until it all exploded in a cacophony of inhumane shrieks; ignoring the enemy seekers the undead were fighting, every one of them rushed toward the Sunflower Princess with killing intent overflowing from their figures, hatred flashing in their nestling eye sockets, as if thirsting for destruction.

Suddenly, a terrifying explosion rocked the skies, driving away the oppressive dark clouds that constantly generated lightning, and the self-destruction of a peak 4th-phase undead caused it.

Notifications flashed in everyone’s eyes...

[The Runic Barrier imposed by Axel Nomrad throughout the battlefield has been forcefully destroyed.]

[Restrictions on World Energy usage have been lifted]

[The Dreadborn aspect holders’ 10% energy usage deficiency has been lifted]
