Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 198 Preparing for Exams

A guild in the heart of the Fourth District of Dacrya, on the first floor of that guild, was the figure of the Seyyas.

"I wrote it."

"Me too."

Seiya and D'Arta, who wrote the paperwork, in order to take the exam to become adventurers. When the two of them finish writing the paperwork, Sarin puts the paperwork at reception, as he said.

"Okay. Please wait."

Once the woman at the reception receives the paperwork written by the two of them, she goes into the back of the guild. The two left at the reception look worried about what such a woman looks like.

"I hope you're okay."

D'Arta gives a worried look as she chases the woman's hindsight with her eyes. That's the same with Seyya, a small amount on Seyya's face but sweating.

"You're gonna be okay. 'Cause I only wrote the mandatory part."

"That's right, you're okay. It's just the name field that I buried."

Yes, D'Arta was right, the only thing the two of them wrote on the paperwork was their names. In addition to their names, the documents they received included numerous columns, including address, affiliation, magical propriety, and background, none of which were mandatory.

It's an incredible document at first, but no matter how many times you review it, the only mandatory field is your name. I'm very happy that if I make it two people from Leiria, it's just the name, but when I get here, I get worried the other way around.

Many people would write about affiliation and magical propriety, even if only names were mandatory to do so.

Seiya sincerely wonders if this would be the first time someone has written only their name and really only their name.

When they had an anxious look on their faces, a woman came back from the back. When the woman comes to the reception, she starts guiding the two of them.

"Confirmation of the type is over. I'm going to start the exam."

Two people breathing in the words of a woman. The woman who saw those two says with a smile.

"First, it's a written exam. Follow me as I'll show you to the venue."

With that said, the woman walks up to the stairs behind the right of the guild and both follow the woman.

Dozens of seconds up the stairs, the three figures were on the second floor of the guild.

"We will do a written exam on this floor. Please note that each will be tested in a separate room"

In a woman's words, the two give an anxious look. Looks pretty uneasy, especially in Dalta. But it won't be impossible either.

D'Arta lived in Laylia's common sense until recently. That suddenly made him a servant of the Premium Mage, who was asked about Dacrya's presence, and then stepped into Dacrya.

For D'Arta, Dacrea was an unknown realm, there is considerable anxiety about being alone in an exotic land. Until now, Seiya, who is experiencing Dacrya, has been nearby, but in this written exam the two will behave differently. It's natural to get anxious.

And that was the same with Seyya. But Seiya's anxiety is not the anxiety of being alone, but the anxiety of leaving Dalta alone.

In Seyya, D'Arta has the image of a servant who is missing somewhere. If Dalta like that were alone and he ran his mouth about something weird, naturally the two of them would be suspicious. In the worst case scenario, you might say D'Arta is a Leirian person.

If that happens, it's not about the adventurer's exam. They will be surrounded by magicians who were at the dining room and the officials of the guild. In the worst case scenario, it could develop into a battle.

With Seyya's strength, the magicians and guild officials who were in the dining room will not be opponents. Probably easy to settle.

But you can't do that.

The purpose of the two is only to be adventurers, not to fight. And if you can't be an adventurer, it makes it extraordinarily difficult to enter the Dacrya Empire. If it's a battle, that's where the two adventurer routes are at the bad-end.

Then you may think you should be an adventurer in other districts, but that's impossible in terms of this one. It is certainly possible to be an adventurer if you go to other districts, even if you cannot be an adventurer in this Dacrea Fourth District.

But we don't have time for that this time. In nine days' time, the two must make contact with the Holy Knight Arthur in the Dacrea Empire. And there was no time for either of us to go to other districts now and be adventurers.

Whatever district you're headed to now, it'll take round-trip time and you won't make it to the Dacrea Empire. Plus, it takes a lot of time to get into each district because of the risks involved.

I mean, you two have no choice but to be adventurers in this Daklia Fourth Ward.

"Can't you two take it in the same room?

"Are you two in the same room? There is also the possibility of canning…"

"I don't do canning. I just saw this guy's answer, and it's not gonna do me any good."

"Nha!?

Seiya trying to take the exam in the same room somehow. But women are just confused.

"It's a rule for once..."

"Do something about it. If I leave him alone, I don't know what I'm gonna do."

"I won't do anything because I'm alone!?

"Ha ha..."

The look on the woman's face becomes more and more cloudy. But Seiya doesn't mind such a woman. She keeps persuading her. It's not preferable to come this far and fail at weird things. Not to mention because success is essential for this job.

A confused but trying to push through the rules and Seiya trying to somehow take the exam in the same room as Dalta. The two did not give way to each other, and the battle between the two entered a state of antagonism.

"Please."

"It's a rule…"

Seeing the two antagonists, D'Arta mumbles to do something about it, but eventually it solidifies without knowing what to do. And I wished in my heart.

(Somebody help me!

Such a Dalta wish came true, and suddenly something broke in between them.

"That, you hadn't tested it yet?

What showed up there was a woman who had been serving at a single diner until earlier - Sarin.

"Senior Sarin, just in time"

"Is something wrong with that?

"It is. This is a better room for the exam."

When Sarin arrived, the woman appealed to Sarin with her eyes that still seemed to cry. Seeing a woman like that, Sarin sighs like she's in trouble.

"Have you told him the rules yet?

"Yes, but what the hell..."

"I see."

When Sarin listens to a woman, she wonders what's going on.

"So, what makes you want to take it in the same room as your girlfriend over there?

'Cause I don't know what Dalta's gonna do when he's alone.

"Hmm, that's what I'm talking about"

Sarin stares at D'Arta with an inclusive eye somewhere. D'Arta couldn't hide her confusion at being stared at, but at the same time she learned the feeling that the core of her body was cold.

It feels as if something stuck around your body is cooling off your core.

But I don't know Dalta. that the feeling is instinctively remembered fear. If D'Arta had had a lot of combat experience, he would soon have found out that was fear. But Dalta, she was a girl who worked in the Episcopal Church until the other day. There couldn't have been any combat experience.

Sarin, on the other hand, sees D'Arta's reaction and perceives something. And soon he turned to Seyya.

"Let's specifically acknowledge the exams in the same room. But I'm gonna need you to stay away from me, okay?

"Is that true?

"Yeah, you guys seem to have a lot of things going on."

"Thank you."

"Fine, fine. I'm going to start the exam, so get in the room."

That's what Sarin says, letting the Sayers into the room.

But in contrast to Sarin, the other woman asked Sarin with a puzzled look on her face.

"Are you sure? As such..."

"Well, there are exceptions to everything. Besides, this one looks a lot more interesting."

Sarin enters the room to perform the exam with an inclusive grin. And the examiner's woman stared at Sarin in confusion.
