Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence
Episode 243: The Labyrinth
"Yes - what is this?"
A voice-out between them echoed in that space with dim and cold air. The Lord of that voice, D'Arta, once again lets out the missing child in between as he looks around him with a glimpse.
But it's also inevitable that D'Arta will react that way.
The sight that spreads around is a brick wall stacked regularly on a cobblestone-packed path. And the ceiling depicts animals like you've never seen with people deploying magic formations. It would be a well-maintained passage if it were to be easily represented there.
"This is another world..."
"Yes, you may have been surprised, but it is an indisputable fact"
Gillanell responds to follow against the crush that came out of Seyya's mouth unconsciously. Seiya or D'Arta looking unsettled by the sight you see for the first time. In contrast to those two, Arthur and Gillanell were not moving at all.
"I don't know, it's like some kind of ruin"
The feeling that came out of Seyya's mouth looking through the structure around her was a ruin-like building. It is true that bricks stacked regularly on the ground covered with cobblestones, and mysterious paintings spread over the ceiling, give the impression of a ruin. In addition, the diminution stood in ruins again.
"From what I hear, it looks like this is inspired by some ancient ruins"
"Really?
"That's right. It's said to be an ancient monument, but it won't come in pins."
"Sure."
Seiya agrees with Arthur's words. In the kingdom of Leiria, most of the buildings, as they are called ancient monuments, do not exist. Even if it exists, it is strictly controlled there by the Episcopal Church and cannot be entered by the general public.
Only relatively new ruins are allowed for ordinary people to enter, like going on a childhood excursion at best.
But there's no other way.
"Why not?
So D'Arta hits the question.
"That's right. Anyway, ancient ruins are buildings built by ancient people, and naturally there is evidence in them that contradicts the Book of the Creator. Because it's quicker not to show it than to publish it poorly and find it like that."
"Oh, I see."
It was trivial enough for D'Arta, whose presence is now normal, not to even get caught in a corner of his head, such as the fact that Dacrya's presence is hidden in Leiria. If you do think about it again, it is quite risky to open ancient sites to the public.
"Sometimes it's usually dangerous."
"Is it dangerous?
"You bet. Ancient ruins, huh? I didn't know what was coming."
From Arthur's mouthfeel, I guess she has some experience exploring ancient ruins.
"I'll tell you what, Darris Grand Canyon is one of the ancient monuments."
"I've never heard that before."
"I guess. If you announce it's an ancient monument, these idiots will go on a quest."
"You know what?"
Seiya is satisfied with Arthur's included explanation. Saiya remembered a case at this time.
That's the story of the warcraft attacking the Frestan region after it was wiped out as a result of the adventurers who once heard rumors of the presence of Undine in the Dalis Grand Canyon went on a quest for the Dalis Grand Canyon. It's a fairly famous story in Leiria, and when I heard this, I was taught that childhood was something you shouldn't go to the Dalis Grand Canyon.
"Besides, is it not easy for the Episcopal Church to manage because it is in such a place? Sure, then you'd better not call it an ancient ruin."
I have actually visited the Dalis Grand Canyon. It is because of Seiya that I smudge myself to know. When it comes to strictly managing such a remote area, it becomes a considerable burden. And no one wants to move on to security in that place. Then it would have been much more efficient to say it was just a horrible place.
"Well, there's another reason."
"Really?
"Oh. That's just a little different from the rest of the ruins over there. So the Episcopal Church hasn't decided for years how to handle it either."
"Oh, my God."
I also thought the Episcopal Church was struggling in the Episcopal Church for once, Seiya. But I couldn't sympathize with the people who tried to kill me.
I kind of go out to a place I opened a little while I was talking. Unlike the narrow and dim passage until then, it is an open space of about ten meters on each side, with torches hanging on the walls and illuminating the room.
"This is..."
I'm suspicious of Seiya, who saw the potatoes. How can there be a brand new sweet potato set up in a space like the one that enters through the entrance deep in the Killer Mountains where people don't come first?
But Arthur will solve that question soon.
"Apparently, you're invited."
"Are you invited? Is that the main thing here?
Only the Lord that Seyya is supposed to fight will be able to invite the Seyyas in this world.
"It's like that."
It's a room that you can reach after exploring a labyrinth like this infinite corridor.
"Does that mean your opponent wants to fight Seyya too?
"That's not true."
"Is it not?
Dalta necks against Arthur's answer.
"You mean for nothing?
Thank you, Emperor.
"What do you mean, no use?
"It's a simple story. In front of Arthur and Gillanell, most obstruction work is only small work. Then it's faster to hit your fate from the start."
With that said, the big door behind the room is where Seyya looks ahead. The intimidation coming from across the door with a hint makes the skin tingle.
"Does that mean that what lies ahead is the Lord's greatest power here?
The fierce pressure coming from the end of the door reminds the beast. Given that the Lord here is the Spirit, it would be the Warcraft whose Lord serves rather than the Lord who is there.
"Just a little wrong, to be exact"
"What do you mean?
"It is indisputably the Lord of this Killer Mountains that lies ahead."
"So it's the Spirit?
I said I couldn't believe it somewhere. The expression Seiya. But things were just complicated.
"It is plain to say that the Emperor had to deal with the Spirit who was in the Killer Mountains."
"You know what?"
I think how far is a broken spirit, Seyya?
"Sounds like you're invited for now, and we're on our way."
That's what I'm gonna say. I'm gonna open the big door, Arthur. What came into view was a space about a hundred times the size of the room I had been in. And it was a giant dragon with a blue torso that swept near its center.
