Falling Mage and the Power of Divergence

Episode 262: The Great Demon King also studies

Dacrya's education for Seyya began the next day. The truth was that Gillanell had been thinking about getting Seyya to rest for about two more days, but in view of one of the Asmodeus cases, he was going to do it ahead of schedule.

As instructors, there are two people who teach Seyya: Gilanel and Daldar. If the Demon King were told to teach by two, it would be no more luxury for the people of Dacrya, but Seyya is not particularly luxury because of the man who will be the Great Demon King. Rather, it was natural for the Demon King to take the initiative in teaching.

"By the way, how far do you know Master Seiya?

It was Daldar who asked Seyya. The two of them had already met once, and where they reunited, the conversation has progressed without introducing themselves to each other.

"All I know is that there are all seven districts of Dacrya, and it is this Dacrya Empire that will be their capital. So about every district has a demon king who is the ruler. I have no idea about radicals and moderates."

Seiya succinctly stated what she knew. That was basic knowledge, something that everyone living in Dacrea knew. But given that Seyya is a Leirian person, it would be good to just know that.

Gilanel thought so and began to explain carefully.

"As Lord Seyya knows, there are seven demon kings in this Dacrya. Angry Satan, Jealous Leviathan, Lazy Belphegor, Greedy Mamon, bulimic Belzebub, Asmodeus of Lust Sex, and the arrogant Lucifer who reigns over those demonic kings"

"Gilanel here will have Satan's name, and I will have Belphegor's name"

"And Lady Seyya will take over Lucifer's name."

That's all Saiya knows. That's where the problem came from.

"This is where the real deal starts. There are currently two factions in Dacrya: moderates and radicals, and they are cracked among demon kings. Soon it will be our moderates who will raise their troops and try to conquer Leiria without a wave of friendship or interference against the radicals who seek to rule Leiria."

Seiya, who heard Gilanel's explanation, was the first to hear of it, but he had the illusion that it would somehow be so. Seiya's experience is significant as a basis for this.

"So Belzebub, who's been giving a little bit of a mammon and leirian magic tournament aimed at" Phoenix's ", is that why he's a radical?

"Exactly. Three of them added Asmodeus, the demon king of lust, to it is the Demon King Rapid. Me, Daldar, and Leviathan will be the moderates."

"I see."

Seiya was finally convinced when she heard the explanation. If I tried to make Sayya, where the first contact with Dacrya was Demon King Broad-Mamon, I felt that Dacrya's policy was to want to engage Leiria. That was also the result of taking into account Detodelion-Belzebub, who had interfered in the Leirian Magic Games.

But I met Arthur the Holy Knight, and in meeting moderate demon kings like Daldar and Gillanell, some of the Seyyas had lost track of Dakulia's basic policies. But if the faction is divided within the Demon King, I'm convinced.

"By the way, how many demon kings did Master Seyya meet?

"The first thing that happened was Mamon. Next up is Belzebub at the Leirian Magic Games. Then there's Leviathan, Belphegor, and finally Satan. It could be Lucifer, my father, in the first place."

Seyya answers Daldar's question with a reminder. Thinking of it that way, Seyya would have already met a demon king other than Asmodeus.

"Already with six demon kings. Fate is still a prank."

"Right. And is this obituary another fateful hoax?"

"Obituary?"

Seiya slapped her neck on a word she didn't remember.

"Actually, the other day, some news ran around Dacrea."

"Is that the obituary?

"Yes, the demon king Asmodeus has been murdered."

Seiya loses her words to Gilanel's words. But it seems more like I wasn't thinking about something and didn't answer, rather than saying that I didn't get the word out by surprise.

"Is that the work of moderates?

"No, it's a radical crime."

"The Rapids did it?

Seiya thinks into unexpected words. If we hear this news after an earlier explanation, we won't be forced to get confused either.

"Are the Rapids also cracking inside?

"Perhaps. We don't exactly grasp it either, but there seems to be a particularly young generation emerging around Belzebub among the radicals"

"The younger generation?

"Yes. Originally the Rapids had a faction led by Mamon and a faction led by Belzebub, and the Mamons were about to collapse from within after grabbing people from Leiria. In contrast, Belzebub and his team are trying to contain Leiria by force without small work."

"I see."

Seiya is strangely convinced by that explanation. It is true that their methods used very different means, even for the same rapists.

"I thought it was reasonable to assume that the Belzebuks had risen at once in Mamon's death."

"Which one was Asmodeus?

"In his case, his desire is at the centre, and being in a radical is not even a match of interest."

The more I hear, the more difficult it gets, but that was until the other day. The current radicals were so simple.

"I mean, now that Mammon and Asmodeus have disappeared, can we assume that one of the Detodelions has become a radical?

"So there's no problem"

"A new man named Mikokabrera, who inherited the name of Asmodeus, seems to be one of Belzebub's men."

"Miko Cabrera?"

The moment I hear that name, the look on Seyya's face gets worse.

"Do you know?

"Oh. He's a magician who belonged to the Episcopal Church in Leiria until this time. And Teng himself, who guided the example Dacrya invasion from the inside. I didn't work with them directly either, but they're pretty hands-on."

"What a relief to Leiria..."

"Reasonable doesn't capture the trends of recent years."

Two people nodding at the unexpected information brought to them by Saiya. It is significant that we learned of the existence of a man named Mikokabrera, who is inexperienced, before the Demon King's Conference.

"So the new Mamon is also a radical?

"No, we haven't decided on a new mamon yet"

"Not decided?

"That's right. Unless the man who took Mamon showed up, which means Mamon's chair will remain vacant unless Master Seiya makes a name for it."

That was Dacrya's rule. So Daldar adds an explanation.

"Perhaps the next Demon King conference will see the Rapids propose a new Demon King candidate."

"Don't you let moderates out?

"Yeah, we have Saiya, so let's give them Mammon's chair."

"Are you all right?

Seiya that makes me just a little nervous.

"The method of voting in the Demon King's Council mainly only needs to take majority approval. I mean, we don't have to aim for a fifth seat, having already succeeded in securing four. Conversely, if we give the Rapids a third seat here, they'll be quiet for the time being."

"Is that what this is about?"

Apparently the moderates also have firm thoughts. If you try to make Seiya oblivious to this kind of political thing, it would be better to leave it to the Gilanelles. So Sayya refrained from listening any further.
